I would say that it's probably valid to say that Kim Da Yeon may not be bringing up the Top 9 sticker thing on her own, but is getting asked about it in every interview segment they shoot and they're only keeping that part of the interview in the final cut of the show. I agree it's annoying, but there's a good chance she's not just constantly talking about it on her own. Also, the winning teams were styled to win vs their losing counterparts for the all the 1v1 team battles, I'm just saying.
She probably is being asked about it. And I think it's valid to mention it but it's a bit...like sad and as i said tiring to almost JUST hear that. Like I don't know anything about her besides the fact that she is upset about the sticker

I'm just trying to keep in mind there could be so much footage of her talking about so many other things that they cut out and keep only her talking about the sticker thing. My point being, it's likely not her fault that's all she's known for lol.
I feel like the 'unknown' trainees really carried 'The eve'. Like all of the 'aces' and top 9 didn't really do anything for me. In general I feel like not so popular trainees carried most of the connect Mission Performances.
I have to agree! For example the Japanese trainee KamiKura Rei I believe literally owned that performance but doesn’t get mentioned at all
I really loved that about the connect Mission. So many underrated people got to shine and that made me sooo happy.

I personally did not enjoy both blackpinks team performaces bcs they made many mistakes and vocals werent that great either.. I loved Qteen's Pretty U the most as well as yes or yes team 1! Its interesting to see many different opinions

Yes or Yes team 1 was absolutely amazing and it was clear they were going to win! It's the only performance I've watched multiple times since the ep aired.

My problem with the 3rd and 4th episodes in both Produce and Girls Planet is that there are just too many performances and too many people. I felt myself spacing out during the 4th ep because I just couldn't care anymore. I payed attention to my favourites but other than that I don't remember anything from those performances.
I kinda had that problem with pd101, and same with this show but I do think it’s easier for me personally when the girls are split into k j c. And all though I am sad they are cutting a lot of girls this week I am happy because it means more time for each girl to shine…. Hopefully.. if mnet doesn’t fuck up
I agree, in the first two episodes it really helped that everyone wore a name tag for the performances, but now I had no idea who was who and therefore didn't know who to vote for. It'd be really cool if they could put the names up on screen whenever someone is singing or in the confessionals.
I wish like I'm ywy they write names of the trainees singing (I think it's written in (Korean). There's too many performances and towards the end I couldn't be bothered to look up all their names and I don't even know the names of some people who stood out to me
I definetly don't agree with you about Kim Dayeon and the sticker. The judges themselves admitted that they kept her out on purpose. She has every single right to whine about it, especially when she was literally robbed of it on purpose.
I get where you're coming from. And I think it's shitty that they did her that way. But talking about it over and over again wont change anything.

I agree. I wish she didn't attack Kim Dayeon like that - she was purposely being asked about it in each interview and she simply answered. If I preformed like Dayeon and didn't get considered for Top 9, I'd be upset too

Also, not to be like THAT person, but Yoo Dayeon would be like a MUCH better leader for "The Eve" team... cuz like... she & Eunbyeol were leaders of LIPBUBBLE together (at the same time) and look at LIPBUBBLE now... they may be disbanded, but ALL of them are still friends, comment on each others photos & keep in touch. So the girlies (with Sion included), must've done something right.
Like c'mon they are even loyal, which you could see back when Sion left SATURDAY and it took all the members of LIPBUBBLE SECONDS, to unfollow the group lol. I still think about that moment a lot...

tbh i feel like both yaning and dayeon had their faults, yaning was way too assertive and its werid she made that one role try out only rule and dayeon was too soft like she didnt even try to compete with yaning to be leader and then she didnt explain her frustrations well enough
@@whyamihere6438 I mean, when Dayeon finally spoke up, most of the other "The Eve" members, suddenly said they had a problem with that rule aswell. If anything Dayeon was the only one that tried to do anything with it.
And I obviously can't speak for Dayeon, but didn't they vote for the leader in the group, and most people voted for Yaning (IF I recall correctly), wouldn't it be weird if Dayeon just said "But I think I should be the leader". Idk and either way, I'm kinda glad Dayeon didn't do it, cuz they would evil edit the FRICK out of her, I mean they already kinda did....
@@aprils1888 the staff asked them and yaning raised her hand, dayeon wanted to but didn’t do ultimately yaning became leader since she’s the only who raised her hand and yeah I just remember I think where the team suffered the most was communication no one dared to talk to yaning
My unpopular opinion about the vocalists: idk why ppl are so scared ar say that falsetto is wrong (of course if it's on point and sounds "clear"); like I know it's not belting, but it's not damaging for the singer's voice if they don't have a range/ technique -> the same thing is with the vocalist training that much, that their voice was ruined (if they knew HOW to sing/train and had appropiate technique it wouldn't happened in the first place)
I think the issue is that she didn’t know how to sing with the appropriate technique, as it was simply out of her range. Straining to sing notes out of your range over and over will eventually cause you to lose your voice. Unfortunately this group had no main vocal so the best vocalist out of the group was forced to do it. She definitely knew that it was out of her range but she didn’t have enough time to learn how to do it properly so she had to to force herself to sing it for the performance. Hopefully she’ll stay to the next round and will get a better song where she can sing in a range she’s comfortable in and show her capabilities.

i feel like yaning made the rule to only apply for one role to prevent someone or some members to get more than one "good role", bc in teams like this some are gonna be better than another one in (for example) rap and dance, so if the one better at both applies for rap AND dance, it' wont give everyone equal chances
But then Su QuiRi (hope I’m spelling that right ) got the killing part AND a very prominent vocal part. I get what Fu Yaning was going for but the issue with it is, if a girl audition for one part and doesn’t get it, she can’t show her talent for any other role. Meaning she might miss out another role that suited her much better like what happened with You Dayeon
@@jihoonscarat haha its "ruiqi" but ik chinese names are kinda hard,,, but the way i think is its a team, there are always ways to discuss issues with the others, dayeon couldnt get the main positions, ik dayeon also tried to get the other parts but wasnt able to get those either and i dont know if its just the way it was edited or something, but it looked like dayeon was desperate to get the killer parts/main parts to "shine" more (which isnt fully true since suyeon killed her part) and lets just face it, she isnt the best at anything but she's a really good all-rounder and i should also add that she's also a great singer so i feel if she told the other that she wanted a better part, they could at least rearrange some parts, even if she couldnt get through yaning (imo,) she could always negotiate on exchanging parts with the other members aside from yaning
i didn't really like the eve performance except for kim suyeon. i love it when a performer can really own a small part and grab your attention and she did just that. i hope she gets more opportunities to show off in future episodes - she's shot into my top 9 just based on that performance
I have to agree. The performance was okay but there were a few that made me rank it higher only because of their own individual performances, like Suyeon, Shana and Dayeon. They didn’t feel like a group at all

dayeon absolutely asked the team if they could audition for more than one part but all the girls followed fyn and said no. i hate how they turned around and acted like that didn't happen once the judges criticized them in the interim eval
It’s extremely obvious who the show wants to succeed. They definitely spun it to make Dayeon seem like the greedy girl who got jealous when others got better parts than her so she went behind their backs to expose them to the mentors. It also sucked that the mentors assumed that the problems with part decisions have never been brought up by her, rather than asking whether she had expressed her concerns before. They definitely tried to make her seem like the bad guy when she’s definitely not.
I would like to respectfully disagree to this. To me, it just felt rather unprofessional for dayeon to bring the issue in front of the judges? I mean when they were picking parts, I think FYN did what she thought was best. And you cannot fault her for doing what she felt was right in the moment. I don’t think she was being intentionally unfair or was trying to pick on dayeon. They all had a chance, and the outcome was the way it was. The group chose and they thought she didn’t fit the parts she wanted. Ok… Well in life you can’t always get what you want. This is no exception. Everyone was content so what makes dayeon so special? I feel in such cases, if the majority was okay, it would be unfair to change everything just cause one person is unhappy. I think what irked me was how she reacted. I understand her frustration but I would’ve respected her a lot more if she took the part and worked with it. I was a dancer back in school. When we had performances and I didnt get the part I wanted, of course I was upset. But I’m not gonna cry about it? If I did I’ll just get kicked out of the whole thing. Like do your best with the situation and prove that you rightfully deserve that part. But that’s my opinion of course, you might disagree and that’s fine. Nonetheless, I can’t deny things could’ve been done better. Everyone had a fault in it, be it FYN or dayeon. The performance left a lot to be desired and this is coming from someone who has su ruiqi as my bias.
I like Dayeon but the choosing process was actually fair. They a tried and the girls made their chose and it wasn't her. It's frustrating but that's part of group work and unfortunately you have to understand and accept her. Giving her a second chance is basically favoritism. I do agree that mnet exaggerated the whole situation but y'all are victimising her too much
@@bebebongBaebae sure but my original comment didn’t say anything about their selection process. it might’ve been fair but the girls should’ve stood behind it in front of the judges instead of pretending like nothing was said and having dayeon get thrown under the bus.
@@EverythingmusicKEPOp they asked a question and she answered 🤷🏽♀️. And I would argue that it was very professional considering the question was no doubt prompted by the producers themselves. Do you not find it a little too convenient that the judges asked THIS particular group whether they were happy about their parts??

My top 3 performances are Fiesta Team 1, the Yes or Yes Teams, then the Pretty U performance. (Ok so top 4.) I loved how the Pretty U team just made the place feel warm. I also thought that The Eve was technically good, especially Jeong Jiyoon's vocals (glorious; she reminds me of Huh Yunjin from PD48) but they were missing charisma and chemistry which is such a shame for a group with so much talent.
My top 9 picks so far are: Choi Yujin, Lee Chaehyun, Kang Yeseo, Chen Hsin Wei, Chen Xiao Ting, Su Rui Qi, Ezaki Hikaru, Sakamoto Mashiro and Kawaguchi Yurina. (Quite sadly, this top 9 pick comes from a combination of "who do i like" and "who does mnet seem to like")

Ito Miyu had a sore throat that's why she struggled so much
Yes she had a sore throat but her part was also out of her vocal range. In her “audition” (which was cut from the episodes but is on UA-cam) she also struggles a lot, with parts that were lower than those in Fiesta. She is a decent singer but she struggled with high notes in her original performance, when they picked the parts and so on BECAUSE those parts were way out of her vocal range. Sore throat or not
@@jihoonscarat Yeah but still wether or not you think she could have pulled them off or not if her vocal chords were intact, the fact that she had a sore throat is very relevant to a review of the performance. She was clearly under a much higher level of stress and physical strain because of it, I’m not an Ito Miyu supremacist or whatever but I just don’t understand why would anyone leave that fact out of a critique of her performance and was just pointing it out that, she was indeed, vocally impaired that day
I don’t think she could have, she couldn’t. That’s not a bad thing, I’m not attacking her or judging. If anything I’m judging the show for making her do a song and a part that she couldn’t handle and the girls pushed this part on her. I assume most people have watched the show, as that’s mostly the people watching these videos 🤷♀️

I found Fiesta Team 1 to be the best performance out of them all, not only because of the overflowing talent, but also because the girls looked like they were genuinely having fun, and it made it fun to watch. (And Reina deserved more parts, she was shining so much through the performance, I just wanted to hear her more) Vote Kubo Reina✌🏻
Yes or Yes 1 really felt like that they were all working together versus how in some of the other performances everyone was doing their own thing.

In my opinion the q-teen was the best, vocals weren't on point as they were in yes or yes team 1 or fiesta team 1, but the vibe was there. Yes, Seventeen's pretty u is more of a pop or a cool concept than a cute, more like a youthful concept, but the point is that they connected to the song perfectly. This is Seventeen's most difficult song not just because of choreography or vocals, but also the vibe the expressions and the fun on it, how to make a performance seem like you are just playing. Yes, it was full of aegyo, which i don't like either, but it fits the concept of the team, which was the point after all. You can't ask too much on the girl who did the highnote, like it wasn't flawlessly but for someone who is not a professional like Seungkwan, this was definitely not bad at all for a trainee. The part that i loved the most was the part before the high note, the bridge, just it just made me smile, it made me happy and none of this performances made me feel anything at all, not surprised not amazed till i saw Q-teen's performance. They aren't the best skill wise, but they do get the point on what being an idol is and is connecting to what they do and making other people feel connected to it too
That’s fair. I think they objectively weren’t bad. I think my main though while ranking was “would I watch this again” and “how interested was I when watching” and sadly pretty u was low. But yea the performance isn’t half as bad as some of the others and I think they deserves the win they got

Objectively, How You Like That team 1 did better. But I definetly enjoyed team 2 more. Team 1 did better overall but it was a boring one. Team 2 had a lot of mistakes but had far better energy and presence.

I don't get the Su Ruiqi hype at all. She hasn't done anything impressive in my opinion and I don't like her voice. I'm sure she's talented but so are so many others.

Su ruiqi recieved hype from 2 survival shows already, which is produce 101 china and chuang 2020, i'm Not interested in chinese survival shows So i didn't watch them, But i guess ruiqi fans since pd 101 China definitely has seen her do impressive things and hyping her up.
Just like a commenter mentions below, a lot of Su Ruiqi's fans have been following her since 2018 when she appeared on Produce 101 (CHina) and Chuang 2020 where she has proven time and time again that she is an incredible all rounder. Snapping was an example of her being able to dance+sing+ hit high notes but there is plenty more. She's very talented.
I think Rayeon was so so so nervous and pressed, BC She usually nail High notes, like for example 2 in this song
for context: ito miyu practised so hard for her main vocal role that, on the day, her throat was damaged and her high notes were very strained.
i believe that she could pulled the performance off if it wasn't for her throat but i think it is a good lesson for responsible and timely practice/training.
I do think her soar throat affected her however I also think that part was way out of her range. You can see she struggles with higher parts, both in her audition/introduction performance and she struggles when they picked the parts. I think she is good, just not vocally strong enough for that part in fiesta

The eve team didnt get an impossible song but they didnt understand the purpose of that song in a performance
Pretty U team understood everything. They portrayed the SVT original intention and delivered quality and their personality and youthful ennergy♡ I liked Myah, she was over the top when compared to Hoshi, but anyway it was fun.
Fifth Season was a strange pick....Oh My girl has vocal songs that are easier like Closer or Liar Liar...but mnet picked one of their hardest. Even Bora struggled

A few things to note for "The Eve" preformance. You Dayeon never had the same parts as what Su Ruiqi had originally gotten, so I'm not too sure why they are being compared. Su Ruiqi had Vocal 2 originally and gave it up, Shana was the one who took over. Dayeon took over Vocal 4.
honestly i feel so bad for ito miu she’s obviously not a main vocal and there were like 4 girls that could’ve EASILY done better but were glad they didn’t have that responsibility. it’s like they only thought about what’s best for them and not for the whole team

I think they deserved it. I don’t hate the performance and I see why it was liked. I think out of the three groups the girls did have fun, looked a lot more cohesive and so on. I do think The Eve could have also won but I think the judges, all though I might not agree, made a good decision.

I agree. I think the judged took into consideration not only the performance but also what went on behind the scenese. Like Mic Drops team being unmotivated at times and The Eve basically not working together and beings a shit show. Other than the killin part changes the pretty u team seemed the most together
@@jihoonscarat Also the former Center of pretty u gave up her Center part when the judges said that Myah my be better for it and I think that shows Team Spirit. The Center of exo (I forgot how to write her Name) didn't even consider to give up something for the team. Wich I think is quite greedy, but she is popular so no ones call that out. Instead everyone focused on Dayeon (was that how she was written?). I also thing Yangning wasn't the best leader. She seemd to unaprochabale
I agree. The Eve team felt almost.. greedy. Not all of them. But if you look at other groups, qteenwith switching with no issue, doah in yes or yes offering to take the least lines because she was the center and even kin chaehyun stepping out to point out to jiwon in the other yes or yes team that she was getting a lot of lines and the Jiwon apologised and picked a different part. Idk I just felt like when the judges asked the eve girl which part she wanted she didn’t even consider it and said both

While I found Kim Dayeon to be whiney at first, her breakdown in episode three changed my perspective on her. I really think that going from number one to not even getting a top nine nomination hit her hard.. Honestly I don''t think she was complaining episode two, I think she was just desperate for reassurance.. Her team leaving her behind might not have been malicious but it must have stung. She was so bright in the O.O.O. behind cams, but now poor girl looks so stressed when ever she's on screen. I hope the judges comments help her but I'm worried she's just going to feel more pressure.

The Eve team was the worst to me, surpassing how I hated the fiesta stage.
Because the team had the Aces, the most popular, the iconic contestants. But they didnt performed as one like EXO. Neither as one group. So the purpose of hipnotizing the viewer with the performance failed completely when I played more attention to the bad energy among them(I watched The eve team stage before watching the episode)
The picking of the parts was ???? They should have tested better which member can fit the line adequately. Mnet tried to make Dayeon the villain playing victim but anyone can see the group didnt get along, all of them didnt talk or saw the challenge as GROUP DUTY
I found Pretty U to be the best performance, honestly any time Pretty u is covered by girls it's amazing. Pretty U is always a fun performance and you have a lot of room to be creative with your performance to make it unique and fun. It was one of my favourites from Idol School too.
HYLT was a trip. Like for me, Cai Bing's mistake in the beginning made that whole performance feel weird, like if you mess up the intro then it's worse than messing up almost any other possible part, though the mistake didn't throw her or the team off, so props to them.
Team 2 had many small mistakes and was in general pretty much what you expect from a first perfomance on a survival show, but the judges seemed to tear them apart and the editing did too. It felt like they in editing almost tried to hide Cai Bing's mistake whilst they tried to tear team 2 apart for making mistakes that I almost didn't notice, like I had to check about 50 times to find out what Seungeun's mistake in the beginning was.
The Eve was good, surprisingly despite all the issues originally. But Fu Ya Ning did not fit it at all. The song is supposed to be sensual and seductive, but she tried to make it powerful af, which just does not fit the song at all. Also having her be the leader was a HUGE mistake, like she is not fit to be a leader at all, her personality and style is all wrong.
Mic Drop, one comment only. The song is almost made to sound bad, cause you are supposed to go full voice crack in like all the vocal parts. Why would they ever pick such a bad song. Like i don't enjoy any bts song, but at least pick one that isn't supposed to sound bad.
Fiesta team 2 was a mess, and I feel really bad for Miyu. Like why did none of the k-group trainees take the main vocal part, like Miyu was open about not having much training at all, but she stepped up to make sure the performance didn't fall apart before they even got to try. I was very disappointed with the k-group trainees and also the mentors. My guess is that the k-group trainees didn't want to fail the high note and seem bad, so they left it to someone else so they themselves wouldn't look like bad vocalists, but hopefully I'm wrong.
Fiesta team 1 did very well, I wish Yeyoung had the main vocal part, but she killed it as a center and did it correctly by not taking the best vocal parts too. A center already gets a lot of attention, so they shouldn't take all the good vocal parts so the rest of the group can shine too.
YoY team 2 did well. Very well in fact. But they also showed that from the beginning Team 2 in any performance were never meant to win, like the styling for team 2 vs team 1 in any performance is so different. YoY team 1 got pretty red outfits, which is one of the best types of stage outfits you can get. Whilst YoY team 2 got green outfits, they were fine, but they could never match the red ones especially cause the color red draws your eyes to it, so you'd find yourself watching team 1 when they were both on the stage before the performances and also in the little cut away scenes of team 2's performance.
Team 1 in YoY did very well, many of my favourites were here and they did amazing. I'm always hesitant with YoY as the message isn't something I think is okay, but y'know.
The conclution for me is that Mnet tried to by both editing and styling make us like team 1 more than team 2, it was only the boy group performances that got a fair chance, and even then the editing was iffy at best.

Yaning didn't say "you can only audition for ONE PART" she said "you can't audition twice for a part" because the places were picked already and Dayeon wanted a second chance and it wasn't fair. I felt Dayeon didn't get what she wanted and threw everyone under the bus instead of get courage and talk it with the team. That's my look on that whole drama.
No she definitely said “you can only pick one part” to audition for. Its the reason why Suyeon and Dayeon ended up getting the lowest vocal parts. Even though they both auditioned for main vocal, when they didn’t get it they were immediately pushed to the end and forced to fight over the parts no one else wanted.
I just checked and Dayeon said “Can we apply for only one part each? Or can we apply as much as we want?” Fu Yaning then says “One part for each” Dayeon than later says she didn’t get to show what she can do and asked if she can show them again and if they didn’t like it she would take 7 or 8. Yaning than says it’s not fair to the other girls and that everyone only had one chance “One chance per person”. This is also supported when Dayeon tells the judges everyone could only audition once, Yaning said nothing. Suyeon also says she found it strange that everyone could only audition once… so from what we can see, yes everyone just got to show the killing part

I think your got the parts mix up. Su Ri Qi originally had part 2 before they re-voted and Shana got the part. You Dayeon originally had part 8 and wanted part 2 but she only got part 4.
And this is just my opinion but even if You Dayeon was the leader and the system of how they pick parts is different she still wouldn't get the killing part or part 1 or 2. Everyone auditions for the part and if they perform better they get it. In all honest opinion Jeong Jiyoon and Nonaka Shana have better vocals that she does. And even if people hate Fu Yaning it's hard to ignore that she has talent just not a likeable attitude.
Let's also not forget Mnet is manipulating how the girls are being portrayed. Both Dayeons are 'whiney' for good reasons because they're hurt. Kim Dayeon has pride as the 1st rank in the K-group and she was purposely left out of the Top9. Anyone in her position would feel humiliated because she's representing Korea and she lost out Shen Qiao Ting and Ezaki Hikaru. You Dayeon is hurt because she choose dominate girls on her team thinking she could win with them but it ended up blowing in her face when the girls got better parts than she did.

Kim Dayeon and Yoon Jia are my picks, Shen Xiaoting and Kawaguchi Yurina too , was really disappointing those perfomances, same with The Eve, You Dayeon its my pick and i was like ???, yea all do it great but wheres the teamwork??? Ito Miyu its my baby i love her, im dont going to blame her for that fail on the highnote, that was fault of coachs for not help her to train good without hurting her throat, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Bora and Chen Hsin Wei are the only picks that didnt disappoint me in this this mission(And obviously Ito Miyu didnt either, she wasnt on her best throat state, so i can say she dont disappoint me, she just makes me feel sad for her, i dont want her to get eliminated)

Members have to catch the judges hearts and create a fanbase even with they do minor mistakes. Gp 999 especially doesnt teach the trainees anything! The masters only crictic and move on....What makes it harder to feel anything for those who arent popular or dont have screentime in the editing

I’m going to be honest, I never like performance covers of The Eve. Now, because it is my all time favorite kpop song, I am very critical of covers. The Eve has a very not kpop vibe, it is more rnb if anything. This means that certain vocal tones will not work for the song. Part of the reason that The Eve works for EXO is because of their voices, they have powerful vocals that can also be shaped to fit the songs. Most trainees on survival shows are not good vocalist, they focus way too much on dance. So with this, it falls flat. People use their yell singing, but that does not work for this song especially. To cover an EXO song, you need strong vocals, and they never have strong vocals that fit the song. The dance can be great, everybody can be charismatic, but if the vocals are not there the song is ruined.
Definitly, and if they put a lot of power into their singing or dancing that can ruin it too. The Eve was always supposed to be a more sensual and flowing song, as is apparent by the choreo. Some of the girls did not fit the song at all, whilst others basically killed it and had some of the best individual performances on the show.

The mic drop one was pretty disappointing. The very first rapper with red pants was pretty okay and got the vibe but the others, i felt that their dancing, energy and vibe portrayal needs a lot of work. It was just a bad song choice for them cuz the girls just sound cute and their voices are clean rather than raspy and growly and strong. If they performed dynamite or BWL, i feel like they'd do so much better. Nevertheless, i appreciate that they tried their best, it wasnt easy yet im still thankful that they pulled their shit together.
