I swear the train is the hero shot for me. When the music hits there, that's when one goes from "this is nice" to "I'm tearing up I want this so bad". Masterful execution.
I love the little detail when the logo "Civilization VII" appears, first there is a part of letter Z which loks like 7. Perfect.
zz.oz.zozz
Some graphic designer had a wet dream over that idea and they COOKED with it
I pray that Geoff Knorr is coming back to compose the soundtrack, it’s easily one of the best parts of civ for me
1000% agree
Sorry, but it seems to me that it won’t work out better than "Baba Yetu" from part 4.
@@Sergej199 To clarify, Tin wrote the main themes for IV (Baba) and VI (Sogno), but Knorr wrote most of the themes for the civs which you hear during gameplay.
@@Sergej199 You've heard 1 minute and 30 seconds of music and you're already saying that? Delusional
@@12345maxtor Most of the themes for VI are simply remixes of traditional songs from that culture. The treatment of these songs changed only slightly over the eras. "Yelkenler Biçilecek" or "Kalinka", an example. If you don't believe me, go to UA-cam and listen. This ost got so boring after 100+ hours (one party, lol) that I turned off the music. Overall they are not bad to convey the atmosphere, but I wouldn’t call them good.
While Baba Etu has hundreds of covers on UA-cam. Including a live choir. Can you find covers of songs from parts 5 or 6 with millions of views?
I did not realise the dialogue quoted Homer. Love it.
They really should drop a documentary on the entire history of humanity. The cinematography thats goes into these cinematics for these games are amazing.
The part where the rail workers are hammering is peak trailer directing. Give that man a raise!

The part with the train then going to the industrial worker capturing each moment of the swing of his hammer
Chills man
The logo is really well thought out. Symmetric (equal distance to the center) Vs with indentation at the bottom, 7 turning into Z, beautiful ornament, classic recognisable font and the hexagonal tile at the center. What a beauty.
So at least another 6 months of Ursarayan art, great!
Please put unified italy as a civ separate from the roman empire.
What about Yugoslavia ???

true. Civ 6 graphics are a turn off
@@noyce530 i dont think theyre a turn off, but i agree that a more strategic map would be ideal
@@esteban4284 I agree that for a first time player, they are a turn off. Very cartoonish. Once you accept and start playing the game is good, but for first impression, very childish.
play Civ 4 - beyond the sword, much better, with many mods.
I prefer 6's graphical style. It's aged way better.
Civ V : 6 hours to play one game
Civ VI : 12 hours to play one game
Civ VII : Timeless
12hrs? Amateur
Marathon mode isn’t long enough for me.
Wat?? 6 is simple as shit. It's trash.
6 hours? my games take way longer lol. probably because I love to play with more civs than usual. Exploration tends to be my favorite part of those games

The trailer is an actual work of art
You are artists. That's more than a simple game. You put so much zeal in it. Appreciate that!
Wish we had some gameplay with this, but do like the art style they went with.
Hope the full thing turns out great.
It's a teaser. The whole point is to let you know that Civ VII is coming, but you won't see any actual footage until later.
@@rerungaming9586 I know how teaser trailers work. I still wish there was gameplay, since expectations are now tempered by not being sure what changes they'll make.
They might make something closer to VI with improvements the community genuinely wants or turn it into a RTS Battle Royal that uses the veneer of civilization to keep track of time because why not?
@@aaronbasham6554 If you can wait two months we will get gameplay/new features in this game. Most likely in gamescom in August
@@aaronbasham6554You only have to wait until August
I think it said there's a gameplay teaser in August
Been playing civ since my dad introduced me to it at the age of 3, Ive loved it ever since. From an old block computer to this little laptop I own now, thank you Sid Meier's.
This is one of the best trailers I've ever seen. What a spectacular piece of art. The team that did that should be very proud.
I really hope that David Attenborough is the narrator it just seems so fitting to me
Sean bean again would be great too. Honestly I’d love to have 3+ announcers if possible. If they go with a female actress I hope it’s Shoreh Aghdashoo.

The transition from the ship to the train goes hard as fuck.
Just one more turn! Then dawn lights filter through the window, it's 6 AM in the morning and you've spent the whole night playing Civ! Can't wait to ruin all my night sleep for the months to come again!
This trailer goes so unbelievably hard. The transition from the painter to the boat to the train lives rent free in my head. Hell, I’m paying it to stay there
The design of graphic layout looks promising like it isn't going to be cartoonish - more similar to Civ V & Civ IV vibes.
civ 4 had cartoon graphics, you might be remembering 3
I use civ 5 graphic mod to play civ 6. 😊😊 Civ 5 graphic look more real
The bronze statue look is giving me big Civ 5 vibes. I never got into 6 as much so I'm super pleased to see this.
it's 2024 and people still only care about graphics 😭
@@creativityfails1 What an odd thing to say. Ofcourse folks care about how it appeals to them in terms of how it looks.
Finally! I needed something that never gets old
Civilization Revolution was my first strategy game and I'm so happy to see Civilization VII coming out soon!
I think Defender of the Crown on Amiga was my first.. I actually missed the original Civ.. Started with the 2nd..
Bought a PSP for Pirates, a PS3 for Revolution & a Switch for Civ 6 lol
Civ Rev on DS was crazy that was the first one I owned, but my friend's uncle gave him the Civ 2 CD-ROM so we would play that after school sometimes and have no clue what was going on.
It wasn't until years later that I played Alpha Centauri, but that game is unreal, one of my all time favorites
@@mikegrill9078 I really liked the DS version.. Sadly I don’t have my OG DS collection anymore.. Long story.. Overall in hindsight C4 & 5 was the pinnacle.. Although Rev is arguably the most fun to just pick up & play
@@Mintcar923 Oh for sure, and 5 especially really stuck with me just since it was the first one I had once I finally got my own computer and could play it until the sun came up LOL

Gotta run with my A-Z schedule on Civ VI before this masterpiece arrives
Civ intros allways makes me feel proud about being human. And that alone is huge in the current era.

I hope the multiplayer de-syncs are fixed
You know they wont ever be, stop lying to yourself :D
this is literally the only new 'feature' I want
I genuinely think that's never gonna be fixed at this point. They don't need to care about multiplayer since the game is usually made for single player
@@captainpancake8177 75% of my playtime has been multiplayer, this game is great fun when the MP actually works, sadly that means alot of my time in CIV has been merely trying to get the game to work
I sincerely hope they fix multiplayer in this one. It is long overdue.
@@captainpancake8177 Singleplayer is annoying because of low iq bots that annoy you with spam of trades and easy victories. If it wasn't multiplayer mode and Better Balance Game mod I wouldn't play it at all and so the significant chunk of players.

Will Economic Victory finally make it into the series?

Hoping to have Morocco again in CIV VII 🇲🇦🇲🇦
I kinda want al andalus and Morocco but I’m fine with whatever the game will probably be pretty bare bones before the dlc so as long as the nations are fun enough to last me through base game I’m fine
I want Ireland to break into the big leagues - it's got a very rich history and has a lot of potential as a civ in this game.
@@evenmoor yeah but I’m pretty sure most people don’t even know a single Irish leader(I’m from a eu country and I don’t know even one)so unless it’s potato mc whiskey leading I don’t know if that would be a good idea but Ireland has been a king maker ever since Hibernia times so it would probably be a great civ nation for diplomacy
@@Mrwhoisdreks There are plenty of civs in the current iteration that made use of leaders that most players probably hadn't heard of before, so I see this as an opportunity! They could reach into Irish mythology and pull someone like Cú Chulainn, or a more historical figure like Brian Boru, the first king of all Ireland. Ireland would also be a prime candidate for a religious or military civ, depending on which era the devs choose from.
@@evenmoor personally I like this idea but think Ireland should be a diplomatic civ but I’m not the one knowing Irish history so I’m sure your idea is better it’s just that it feels like there’s just no diplomatic civs like kupe is supposed to be diplomatic but he just annoys everyone with forward settleing and Cree is a all rownder I can’t think of a strictly diplomatic civ so Ireland would be a good fit

They lie... so much suffering is happening constantly
based on the art style of the teaser, it looks like they are finally going back to a more realistic feel... thank god
Let's hope!
