I love how they depict the Prequel (or pre-Prequels) as an exotic vibrant world with lot's of secrets to uncover. This is the vibe I got and this is the side of Star Wars that I didn't expect but somehow longing for. Feels like a refreshing side of Star Wars.
I can’t remember who said it but some reviewer said that if the original trilogy era is like Edo Japan mixed with the Wild West, the prequel era is like Ancient Rome
when I was a kid, the art of Episode I and to a lesser extent Episode II really blew my mind away. Granted the movies were meh, but the aesthetics left a strong impression on me. I remember for years wondering if they could ever build upon that but obviously nothing really picked up steam aside from things like video games or comics. with all the opportunities there are today for SW-related media, it's cool to think that things I thought of as a kid are showing up in SW-related things these days
Not enough people are talking about the music! Those drums give me chills every time I hear them, and the chorus definitely sounds like Star Wars, but in a new form.
The Dune novel was one of Lucas' primary influences in creating Star Wars, and honestly I'm glad this is going to the darker and more foreboding aesthetics of Dune. It's the first time I've truly felt the Dune influence in Star Wars
This Trailer is just insane! The feeling, the aesthetics, the epic Sound. It makes everything right to hype everyone. Give those people a medal who created this masterpiece of a Trailer !
Who ever did the sound design and score needs a raise, I literally closed my eyes and played it and enjoyed myself. Chefs kiss to the unique aircraft screech at 1:25 ,gives me tie fighter vibes.
Serious shades of copying or 'inspired by' the new Dune aesthetic. And I'm not impressed by Quantic Dream. Guess we'll see, but this is a 'after many reviews order if it's any good'.
It is so refreshing to have a Star Wars game set in a different era! It looks epic and I am super pleased to see the Trade Federation, Lucrehulks and Neimodians.
The trade federation, Naboo, Coruscant were all introduced in the prequels and the alien looks like voldermort, im so excited to return to wanabe prequel. :)
Quell your excitement, read up on the development studio's sexist, racist and homophobic workplace-environment and all the crunch (prolonged periods of overtime work) that's been going on there. Stand in solidarity with the workers.
The whole trailer is great, but the music is another level amazing. The last few notes of the trailer specifically stand out. I think the "Mandalorian formula" for music is being expanded to other Star Wars stories, and I'm all for it.
I also really loved the Mongolian throat singing in Jedi Fallen Order. The exotic music really makes it feel like a real alien galaxy with it’s own unique cultures and history.

@@mcduffchannel Wow that's a major disappointment. The lack of star wars game with over the top flashy and quick lightsaber combat always amazes me. Combat is always my top priority then story. Nothing wrong with story driven games but man does it really baffle me that there isn't any modern star wars games with a huge focus on lightsaber combat
@@spaghettisauce1104 Stars Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is pretty much only lightsaber / force combat, and it came out 2 years ago (and it's really good! I highly suggest it if you haven't played it). Whether the game itself is outstanding or not, can we just spare a moment to appreciate the creative masterpiece that this trailer is? Watched it about 30 times now, and love it more each viewing.
We all know this trailer will be far better than the actual game i refuse to get hyped for anything starwars anymore and i even thought the sequel trilogy was ok for what it was but meh they took alk the hype out of the wars imo
Frustration is waiting. This is a simple marketing tool not the game itself. This is only the interpretation of something else, let's wait if you love the game with the same intensity as this trailer.
That's odd - I though it was a meaningless series of pictures and scene's. Best part was the StarWars in the title, but without that - I mean , what the hell are we looking at?
The imagery is gorgeous, regardless if it is just a cinematic. I am interested is how this first game set during the High Republic period was play out both in story and gameplay. Hopefully it can hold up to likes of the legacy of the Kotor games.
Haven't been impressed with the High Republic era so far. But hey, this might be the diamond in the rough for that mess and probably the closest we'll get to a KOTOR 3.
The recent books released this year (book 3 of the adult series release 2022 Jan) have been subpar. Don't have high hopes for this story either with how Disney has been lately. Coupled with the fact these cinematic trailers reveal absolutely nothing about the gameplay itself.
I LOVE the blend between old and new. Seeing how old designs and ships are in star wars, its a perfect use of known designs while creating new ones. In cannot wait for this game.
Those aren’t the actual in engine graphics. These are pre rendered scenes meaning the cutscenes could possibly look like this but the actually gameplay will look nothing like this
I’m a die hard Star Wars fan and I have almost no idea what is going on. I absolutely love it. It feels so ancient and alien yet still Star Wars at the same time and, from what I can tell, this game is infusing the prequel art style with a completely new one. Honestly reminds me of the visions episode that was Aztec looking, except instead of the original trilogy, it’s now the prequel trilogy. Heck the music kind of sounds like duel of the fates if Aztecs made it. First boba, Now this, it’s a good time to be a star Wars fan!
As a Star Wars fan who wants to know more of the universe before the Skywalker Saga, this just entices me so much. The music, the visuals and this new alien race with the drums and that figure rising from that black substance (with those yells being heard as this happens) just make me want to play this game so bad. Which makes me realise I have to be extremely patient.
@@Grandmas_Favorite I mean there's the Mandalorian. All the other Star Wars series coming out. Book of Boba Fett. Star Wars Visions. The only thing Disney's really screwed up are the movies and if people like Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are put in charge that can be fixed.
You're not wrong but unfortunately, Quantic Dream and "good, coherent story" are mutually exclusive. If Cage is anywhere near this project, avoid like the plague.
That was absolutely stunning. The darker/more adult tone and a focus on MORE ALIENS (instead of just humans/mandalorians) is exactly what Star Wars needs! If this was a trailer for a show or a movie I'd be excited, it's that good. The thing I particularly liked was some of the strange instrumentals (right at the end for example) that make it a bit different than the typical Star Wars chanting music.

@@vampirecount3880 they are all humans, so they clearly do have a noticeable ethnic aspect.
