It’s incredible how the best of the sport make jiu jitsu look so simple. This was a match won by incredible fundamentals.
Passing Victor Hugo, one of the best guard players in the world at heavyweight, like it was nothing. I hope Gordon does a division this year.
I hope he competes too but it seems unlikely
Gordon is so calm at all times no matter who is the opponent, neither which position he is playing (top or bottom). Must be frustrating to face him, because everyone is already so high level, but Gordon seems to be at a totally different tier.
If I had one dollar for every Flo wrong graphic I would be flying private.
It’s always struck me as crazy that Flo doesn’t retroactively put accurate scoreboards on the big matches they put on their channel.
I mean y’all screwed it up at the time, but it doesn’t mean you have to let that go on forever.

The guard passing sequence starting at 1:48 going until 3:00 (especially the part starting at the stack pass) was the most impressive chain passing of the entire event. Gordon met every one of Victor's guard retention strategies with a better answer until he ended up in mount with double underhooks. I've watched this clip a dozen times and it's still unbelievably impressive in its timing and technicality. Props to Victor for surviving 10 minutes of insane pressure and even firing off some attacks at the end.
Gordon seems like he downloaded the entirety of BJJ straight to his brain, like Matrix. He got to a point where there's no bad position or threat to him
The only guy Gordon didn't tap at ADCC but was still dominant

Not fair, rpg players will recognize that Gordon is wearing the ankle band of longevity. Which increases his stats: Strength, Agility, Vitality, Vigor, Intelligence, Endurance, and Dexterity. Each stat raises multiple attributes plus max health.

Nicky Rod não conseguiu fazer nada contra o Victor Hugo. Diria que hoje os mais favoráveis, numa luta contra o Ryan, seriam o Craig Jones e o próprio V. Hugo, ele evoluiu bastante no No Gi de 2022 pra cá.
