Lovely boat! I spent 8 years living aboard a very similarly laid out 30 footer, though mirror-imaged Port-Starboard. You have made it into a very attractive live-aboard, very tastefully and practically set up, the solar power generation being particularly useful. For a boat of this size, I think the tiller is much to be desired over a wheel, especially if you don't have a crowd in the cockpit underway. Do you have a GPS chart plotter? I lived aboard before GPS was a big thing (remember LORAN?). but in subsequent sailing I found a chart plotter to be a huge help (not a little hand-held, but a properly installed one, with AIS). An auto-pilot connected to the plotter would also be most helpful, if not essential, in a short-handed situation. A tiller auto-pilot is compact and easily stored when not in use. Such subsystems are relatively affordable these days. Another point: the anchor locker hatch cover should have a latch, so that in the event of a knock-down or big waves crashing over the bow, you won't lose all that beautifully arranged and vital kit. I presume that your cockpit locker hatch covers have watertight seals and are also locked down. (You may want to look at Laura Dekker's 8-part video series on single-handed circumnavigation on a somewhat bigger, but similarly simple boat. Many useful pointers by a master sailor).
Thank you David. Sometimes our boat looks like a bomb had just exploded too (usually when we're provisioning or when I'm fixing something). We look forward to having Emma in our future videos! Fair winds! Chris & Rossella 👍
Hi George, thanks for your comment. Yes we love being able to sail our tender. You can go off exploring in it around all the little coves and bays that you wouldn't be able to get into with your boat. It's a homemade rig: I bought the aluminium tubes from ebay, made push-fit splices in them so that the mast and boom come apart (This was actually because the tubes were shorter than I wanted them to be [shipping restrictions] so I had to splice together two sections to get the length I wanted... I used an optimist rig as a starting point (I used info online to get the measurements) and then increased the mast height so that we can more easily get under the boom when tacking. It was cheap to make and lets us go sailing in the wee tender! Cheers, Chris (& Rossella) 👍
Charming boat, so tidy it shows she gets proper attention from thoughtful crew. She looks so proud. 30' is such a perfect size. Cheers from Unbridled-C&C Mk1 30'. I'll sign on to see what you have planned. Thanks.
Hi Dale, thank you very much for your kind words. Welcome aboard and thank you for joining our crew. :-) The C&C looks like a very pretty boat and no doubt is a real pleasure to sail. We hope you enjoy our future videos. Fair winds, Chris and Rossella 👍
Very nice video, excellent equipment and layouts. Just wondered how you manage with just a couple of bobs but without a grill/cooker underneath. Thanks for sharing...and...happy sailing to dreamy places!

Hello just wanted to say what a lovely vessel you have...everything appears to be in great condition...I love how clean and organized the boat is...very nice.....⛵️⚓️T.Gunz
Thank you Tommy! We have sold this boat now and she is now living in Sardinia with her new owner. We were sad to see her go but we have a 35' boat now with more room for baby stuff! 😊 Fair winds, Chris, Rossella & Emma 👍
Hi there, thank you for watching and commenting. We have spent several weeks at a time living on board at anchor and we loved it, so it can certainly be done on a small boat. Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
Hi Gays. I note that you say you only have a main and a roller headsail, I think it may be a good idea to consider a Genaca it's a cross between a genoa and a spinnaker, they are very easy to handle and you don't need a heavy spinnaker pole and sheets, but the increase in speed in light airs is well worth it ...
Absolutely gorgeous vessel, I stumbled across your channel by accident, like what I saw and am now a new subscriber, oh by the way I am a big fan of sail drive. Although our boat has conventional shaft and propeller drive. She is a 1963 alberg 30 and we have sailed from our home port of Santa Cruz California to the Hawaiian islands 3 times and 3 times to the sea of Cortez. The nice thing about a 30 footer is I can put her on a trailer and store her at my home. She is under refit now and when I officially retire next April we are going to trailer her to Florida next summer and begin our circumnavigation from there. Just goes to show you a million dollar yacht is not needed to cruise the world. Many people have done it aboard even smaller boats. I wish you well and may Neptune treat you nicely !!!!!
Hi Bill, thank you very much for your kind comment and welcome to the crew! I just Googled the Alberg 30 and they look like gorgeous boats. No doubt you enjoy the advantages you gain from your long keel (which of course negates the possibility of a sail drive). I love the classic lines and of the Alberg and she looks like a very seaworthy design. You have had some wonderful adventures on your boat! Your Hawaii trips must have been amazing?! Being able to store your boat at home is a huge advantage... Your retirement plans sound truly inspirational. Please keep us updated as we'd love to know how your new life on board goes. :-) Fair winds, Chris (& Rossella) 👍
Hi Jason, thank you for your comment! It really does look a lot bigger in the video with the fish-eye lens. We love our boat though, it's really cosy. :-) Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
You're right, our boat does look pretty similar to a Catalina 30 in terms of size and layout. The Half Cast 30 was designed for the Half Ton cup of Trieste so she sails well, which is great because we have a lot to learn when it comes to getting that 'extra' knot when sailing her! One thing we really like about our boat is that the keel is moulded into the structural layup of the hull, with lead poured in afterwards. We like the solidity and longevity of this keel design. Cheers, Chris & Rossella :-)
Hi André, VinceRo was a great boat and we miss her dearly. We love our new boat, which has more room for our daughter and the extra gear which we need for her, but we will always have a place in our hearts for the boat which we sailed to Corsica on our honeymoon. Fair winds! Chris, Rossella & Emma 😊
Beautiful boat. We like seeing other people's boats as well. All boats are squeaky. I like the fishing setup. Have you ever had something too big on it?
Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Too big hasn't been a problem - I'm not much of a fisherman to be honest (which is a good thing as Rossella has a phobia of fish!) Fair winds! Chris & Rossella
Its an amazing boat. I like it! I also like your videos :-) I am a new subscriber now. Keep going! Best greetings from Munich - Bavaria. Fair winds! Sabine

Hi there, thank you for your comment. (Apologies for the delayed reply but I [Chris] have just come back from a 62 day trip offshore, working 12 - 17 hours every day - I'm at home again now so we're online again!)
Good standing headroom ,can't see many handholds, doubt if those panels would survive a knockdown, seems to lack a splashcover, never used a Bruce but everyone wants a rocna at the mo best thing are the smiles great to see you going to sea
We have found the Bruce to be a fantastic anchor. There was only one occasion where it wouldn't set in weed but the rest of the time it has been brilliant. Thanks for watching and fair winds, Chris & Rossella
Thanks Paul! This boat was super cheap: around $15,000. We are very glad to be helping you achieve your future goals. Fair winds! Chris, Rossella & Emma 😊
Hi John! Thank you very much for your comment and for the feedback regarding the extra footage at the end of the video - we weren't sure if we should inlude that or not but it seems that people enjoy this, so we will probably make it a regular feature in our videos (there will be no shortage of footage as we make lots of mistakes!) Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
+Ted thesailor Hi Ted, thank you for watching and commenting. Yes, she is a 30 footer and we have made some additions so that we can spend several weeks at a time living at anchor on her. Fair winds, Chris & Rossella
Hi Johnny, Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Fair winds! Chris & Rossella (p.s. Apologies for the delayed reply - we have been apart for just under 3 months while I [Chris] was working offshore)
Hi John, thank you for your comment! We are very happy on board - it's like our little floating world. :-) The anchor locker is a bit on the busy side... Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
Excellent, subscribed and looking forward to more content. Interested in seeing more about sailing in the UK, other channels have the tropical waters well covered!
Hi there, welcome to our crew! :-) As for where we'll be sailing, we'll see where the wind takes us - we literally don't know ourselves so it will be an interesting journey! Cheers, Chris (& Rossella) 👍
Ehat are the boats demensions. Looks to be 27 or 30 footer. My golden Hind was a similar layout. As usual engine acces was hopeless...LOL..the bane of sailboats.
Hi Jack, yes it's a 30 ft boat. Our engine has access from the cabin behind the companionway steps and from above via a removable cover in the cockpit, so it's not too bad but it would always be preferable to have even better access. Having said that, I used to be a technician on aircraft (fast jets and helicopters) - and what seems like restricted access on a boat would feel like luxury on an aircraft! Sometimes you have two arms through two small access panels, with your head squeezed up against the outside of the aircraft, working only by feel. Such fun! :-) Fair winds, Chris (& Rossella) 👍
Hi Jason, thanks! Have a look at this video ua-cam.com/video/g4sD0ownveI/v-deo.html then if you have any questions please feel free to fire away! Fair winds, Chris (& Rossella) 👍
In Denmark, marinas are not outwardly inviting people to live there. Is it possible to be anchored and maintain one's professional job while anchored? I.E. Rowing to shore, where the company car is parked and work 10 hours, then get back on the boat? Hmm. This is interesting to me. Great video. I really appreciate your fishing rod! Easy does it! :-)
Thank you Elena and Ryan - we love her but I suppose we're biased! You guys are welcome aboard for sundowners when our paths cross. :-) Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
Hi John, we haven't had any problems with our furling gear: neither of us are particularly heavy and, although we are 'point loading' it with our hammocks, it takes larger loads when we are sailing. If we were concerned about this I suppose we could place a brush handle under the hammock lines on the furler to distribute the loads over a larger area... Thanks for watching and commenting. Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
There is a purpose for not having steps to climb up to the must and one of the biggest reasons is that your sail can get damaged usually it happens in the strong winds and in the situation when you really don't want anything happening, especially in the middle of some action.
Thank you Gary, welcome aboard! If you want notifications when we release new videos click on the bell icon to get them (otherwise YT will only send our videos your way occasionally). Chris, Rossella & Emma 😊
Thank you Andrew. Very simple on this boat: a 120 litre flexible tank under the v-berth; a 12 volt pump which ran whenever a pressure drop was detected; an accumulator (to damp out pump pulsations and reduce cycling of the pump, as well as eliminating any 'water hammer' effect); a 230VAC boiler to make hot water whilst plugged in to shore power; and two faucets, plus a (cold only) cockpit shower. Easy peasy. When filling the water tank I would add a dash of bleach to keep everything bacteria-free. Cheers, Chris 👍
I'm sure you could always use more room, but all in all, it looks just right for two to be comfortable and very affordable. Has your Volvo been good to go? (I only ask because another v'logger mentioned they have kind of a bad reputation.)
Hi Chris, thank you for your comment. We love our boat and the memories we've made since we've owned her so far will last us a lifetime! I like the Volvo engine. It's very simple and easy to work on. The only issue we've ever had is that it developed blow-by on one of the injectors. The injectors are retained withing copper injector sleeves. Our engine developed pretty extreme blow by on one of the two cylinders, and exhaust gases were escaping straight up past the injector (despite this the engine got us home fine, runnning on one cylinder...) I removed the head to give me good access, 'milled' the injector sleeve seat, and then inserted two homemade copper washers... We didn't have the possibility to buy the washers locally and wanted the boat back ASAP! I cut two sections off the end of a copper pipe with a pipe cutter, hammered them in to the desired washer shape [repeatedly heating them cherry red with a blow torch then quenching them in water to anneal them when they started to work harden] and then fitted the washers into the bottom of the injector sleeve before re-assembling the head. It worked and we have no blow-by now! I will no doubt do the job 'properly' one day and replace the whole injector sleeve, but you need special tools to do this, and I hate spending money! No doubt we'll end up making a video about this at some point! There you go then, that's probably a more exhaustive answer than you were expecting. :-) Cheers, Chris (& Rossella) 👍
ohhhhh beautiful, very complete explanation. I have a question, can it be install an automatic pilot in this kind of monohull(that does not have a wheel)? Thank you so much!
HI Santiago, thank you for watching and commenting. :-) Yes, we have a tiller pilot (If you watch the video again and look out for it you might see it - it's black and runs from the side of the cockpit to the tiller.) These tiller pilots are simple and relatively cheap but ours came with the boat, which was great for us. Fair winds! Chris & Rossella
Hey mate can I get the stats on your charge controller and mppt? Love the vid! Subscribed and liked. Or even your entire solar system it looks great. I'm refitting my first yacht.❤️✌️⛵
Hi Philippa, thank you! We love our little tender. We've had me, Rossella, and both Rossella's parents in the tender all together to go ashore when we were at anchor. My parents in law have zero boating experience and they were comfortable with the ride so I think that says something. :-) The boat only weighs around 25 kilos but is a very capable and versatile. It can be kept in a gap beside a wardrobe and a wall in a house and can be loaded on a roof rack (we once transported it inside our small car by tilting the passenger seat backwards , so that is yet another option with it) These boats, being so unique, get lots off attention, and as the 'builder' that makes you very proud! Fair winds! Chris (& Rossella) 😁
Lovely boat. I would like to know more about its construction and history, and perhaps get a better sense of her shape from the exterior.. Who drew her and who built her? She looks like a one-tonner from the top of the mast. Are there any other examples of this boat, or is she a one-off?
Hi Bruce, thank you for your comment. I have just updated the video description to answer your questions. Here's the section I updated: "Plastilupi Half Cast 30, Built 1989 LOA 9.00 m (30 ft) LWL 7.80 m (26 ft) Beam: 3.06 m (10 ft) Draft: 1.70 m (5 ft 7 inches) Displacement: 3000 kg (6600 lbs) Sail area: 50 m2 (538 sq ft) Keel type: Encapsulated, lead filled Mast: Deck Stepped The Plastilupi Half Cast 30 was designed by Davide Castiglione for the Half Ton Cup of Trieste. They therefore have the great sailing performance of a 'half tonner', combined with a cleverly maximised, comfortable interior to suit the needs of a small cruising family. The boat was produced commercially by Giuseppe Loggia, who fell in love with the design and left his job in the marine services industry to produce the Half Cast 30 commercially. It was produced and sold in Italy [numbers produced / sold unknown]. The Half Cast 30 is a medium displacement fibreglass constructed boat withan encapsulated keel (after being laid up as an integral part of the hull, it was then filled with lead). This makes for a solid hull and eliminates the need for keel bolts." Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
What kind of boat is it??? like the interior size...similar to what mine will be...nice layout, and the swim platform gave me an idea, thanks.... favorable winds!
Ciao! It's a Plastilupi Half Cast 30 (Half Tonner), made in Italy. :-) We'll have another video soon about the swim platform / ladder... We love it! Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
Hi Jānis, VinceRo was a Plastilupi Half Cast 30 and she had around 1.80 m headroom in the saloon & galley area. We currently have a Bavaria 350. Fair winds, Chris
Perhaps I missed it, but how long is your sailboat? It look neat, tidy and complete. Love the hammag solution. Looks lovely with the sunset! Wishing you fair winds and save sailing!
Hi Robin, VinceRo is 30 ft long (9.00 metres on the documentation) if you measure her she is a little longer than that but as far as mooring fees are concerned, she is 9.0000000000000000000000000000 metres long 😊 We love the hammocks, and sunsets at sea are always special. Fair winds! Chris & Rossella 👍
Hi Jim, we have an inboard engine (Volvo Penta 2002: 18hp, 2 cylinder diesel) which has a saildrive attached. We also have an ancient 2-stroke outboard for our tender that we bought for $50. We generally only use this when it's really windy as we prefer to sail or row our tender whenever possible. Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
This isn't supposed to be a rude question, but how much was the original boat with no customizations? I absolutely loved every inch of the boat! great tour!
We have our first baby on the way and want to be able to live on board for long periods... We have bought a bigger boat as we found a great deal that we couldn't refuse! We'll be refitting the new boat and plan on making a passage of over 1000 NM next year with our new 'Britalian' baby girl! I have a little tip for you here: instead of saying 'I can't afford that' start thinking 'How can I afford that?'... You will be amazed at what your mind is capable of if you start doing this and you could find yourself achieving your wildest dreams. I read this in a book a few years ago and it seems to be working for me! Best regards and fair winds, Chris (& Rossella) 👍
Grazie mille per aver guardato il nostro video, sono molto felice che ti sia piaciuto! Al momento vicino a La Spezia! :-) Spero che continuerai a seguirci! A presto, Rossella
It starts as a dream, then it becomes a plan, then it becomes an obsession, then before you know you are raising the sails on your very own sailboat. If you focus on something enough, you'll find a way to achieve it. Fair winds! Chris
Nice. Imagine having a wife/GF who actually likes sailing enough to live on a boat or for that matter likes sailing at all. My other half prefers 12hrs of TV a day 365 days a year, I have to sail a tiny boat on a cold lake.
Hello, love your boat and tender. Did you mention that you had plans for the folding tender? I can't seem to find them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Denis, thank you for your comment! Just in case anyone else misses them, here is the link to the tender plans: randomchris.com/foldingboat I can't recommend them highly enough - building our tender was one of the most satisfying things I've ever done! Fair winds, Chris (& Rossella) 👍
Hi Plio, we just filmed some more videos and you see plenty of our tender in them - you even come on board while we sail it! Fair winds, Chris & Rossella
The stiffener plate at the bottom was added to get rid of the small amount of flex that the steps had on a trial installation. I'm an ex-aircraft technician and I know that small amounts of flex = metal fatigue in the long run = a step falling off when you're climbing your mast. Not good, hence the stiffener plate which eliminates all flex. Cheers, Chris
I’m not a sailor but I love your videos. My question is - did you have to drill into the mast to install the mast steps ? If so, does that affect the structural integrity of the mast ?
Hi Doug, thank you very much. There's more info on the mast steps in this video ua-cam.com/video/S_hD4dJGUgM/v-deo.html I did drill the mast and yes it does have some effect on the structural integrity of the mast, but it isn't a problem for the following reasons: 1) Most of the load on the mast is compression. The shrouds and their attachments work in compression, and the mast transfers this downwards via compression, which is unaffected by 'extra' holes in the mast. 2) Every mast already has lots of holes drilled in it, to support the existing hardware. 3) I de-burred the holes prior to riveting - this gets rid of potential stress-raisers emanating from the outside of the holes drilled. 4) Masts are 'over-engineered' in terms of the strength they require to do the job they are tasked to do. Drilling a series of small holes still leaves plenty of leeway before compromising the required strength. Best regards, Chris
Hi William, here is a link to the kind of flexible water tank we have (Amazon.com): fave.co/2oldkTT We have a deck fill with a large diameter flexible hose which runs down the stbd side of the fwd cabin before leading in to the top of the flexible tank underneath our V berth. There is a small diameter hose attached to the bottom of the tank which then leads to a pressure-activated water pump. There is an accumulator on the high pressure side of the pump and the pressurised water is split into two - one supplies the boiler (immersion heater) which comes out as hot water when the boiler has recently been on. The other is the cold water feed. Hot and cold water feeds run to the head faucet, galley faucet and cockpit shower. The flexible tanks work brilliantly and I regularly drink the water from the boat's tanks. I hope this halps, good luck with your installation! Fair winds, Chris (& Rossella) 👍

That's a pretty big "little" boat!! Great tour!
Hi Jason, thank you for your comment! It really does look a lot bigger in the video with the fish-eye lens. We love our boat though, it's really cosy. :-) Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
Lot's of storage. Seems like a very good layout for a small cruising boat. Kind of like a Catalina 30 in respect to a lot space in a small boat.
Nice and neat setup. A lot of very smart ideas . Best of everything.
Thank you Daniel. Fair winds! Chris & Rossella
Never seen more room on a 30 footer before. I have a 32 ft sloop with half the room you have. Lucky find a boat like that. André in Sydney
Hi André, VinceRo was a great boat and we miss her dearly. We love our new boat, which has more room for our daughter and the extra gear which we need for her, but we will always have a place in our hearts for the boat which we sailed to Corsica on our honeymoon. Fair winds! Chris, Rossella & Emma 😊
lol. Just started watching your channel. What a brilliant, no nonsense boat.

Great boat Everything is so well organized! Really enjoyed the outtakes as well.🤙🏾
Thank you Paul 👍
Beautiful boat. We like seeing other people's boats as well. All boats are squeaky. I like the fishing setup. Have you ever had something too big on it?
Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Too big hasn't been a problem - I'm not much of a fisherman to be honest (which is a good thing as Rossella has a phobia of fish!) Fair winds! Chris & Rossella
Great vid! Easy to listen to, very well done. To the point, didnt waste my time.

I watched the whole video, which was very interesting. I guess you'll be out at sea, which should be exciting!
Hi there, thank you for your comment. (Apologies for the delayed reply but I [Chris] have just come back from a 62 day trip offshore, working 12 - 17 hours every day - I'm at home again now so we're online again!)
Sailing Britaly Thanks: I read both of your replies this morning. I Hope All Is Well With You, John

Hi John! Thank you very much for your comment and for the feedback regarding the extra footage at the end of the video - we weren't sure if we should inlude that or not but it seems that people enjoy this, so we will probably make it a regular feature in our videos (there will be no shortage of footage as we make lots of mistakes!) Nice boat and nice tour. Straightforward, down-to-earth, and no infernal backing music to beat your eardrums limp. What was it - a 30 footer?
+Ted thesailor Hi Ted, thank you for watching and commenting. Yes, she is a 30 footer and we have made some additions so that we can spend several weeks at a time living at anchor on her. Fair winds, Chris & Rossella
Great Videos you produce! Do you have a video showing or talking about your windlass configuration and how you installed it?
Excellent, informative videos. Well designed boat. If you're ever in Beaulieu Sur Mer lunch is on me. Keep it up.

very nice boat, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Paul 😊
I enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your comment. :-) Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
Hi, awesome boat tender. Could you provide some instructions on building and mounting the sail?
Hi Jason, thanks! Have a look at this video

Your boat looks amazing guys!

Nice boat and great tour.
Do you do anything to prevent bending or damaging your roller furler when you use the hammock?
Hi John, we haven't had any problems with our furling gear: neither of us are particularly heavy and, although we are 'point loading' it with our hammocks, it takes larger loads when we are sailing. If we were concerned about this I suppose we could place a brush handle under the hammock lines on the furler to distribute the loads over a larger area... Thanks for watching and commenting. Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
Li did not hear what size and type boat and year. It looks very nice thank you
There is a purpose for not having steps to climb up to the must and one of the biggest reasons is that your sail can get damaged usually it happens in the strong winds and in the situation when you really don't want anything happening, especially in the middle of some action.
'the first of your videos I've seen - 'refreshing attitude you both have, I've subbed and will watch more - good luck to you

Really nice boat! Congrats :)

Your videos are always enjoyable to watch. Could you please describe in detail your water systems?
Would you mind stating which brands you use? I’m outfitting for the Med. My water system is the only system left to put together.
Great tour. Thanks for sharing.
Hi there, thanks for watching, liking and commenting. :-) Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
Thanks for the tour!

ohhhhh beautiful, very complete explanation.

Very Great and spacy boat for only 30'.
She is a lovely little boat. :-)
Looks great. Thanks for the link to the tender plans. How is she for provisioning?
Here's the section I updated:
"Plastilupi Half Cast 30, Built 1989
LOA 9.00 m (30 ft)
LWL 7.80 m (26 ft)
Beam: 3.06 m (10 ft)
Draft: 1.70 m (5 ft 7 inches)
Displacement: 3000 kg (6600 lbs)
Sail area: 50 m2 (538 sq ft)
Keel type: Encapsulated, lead filled
Mast: Deck Stepped
The Plastilupi Half Cast 30 was designed by Davide Castiglione for the Half Ton Cup of Trieste.
This makes for a solid hull and eliminates the need for keel bolts."
Fair winds,

Great video, great boat.
What is the boat type and size?
What is the roof height inside in the boat salon, toilet, front cabin?
Hey, enjoyed the video. Is your outboard engine used mainly as a back-up, or is it the primary, when you motor?
Hi Jim, we have an inboard engine (Volvo Penta 2002: 18hp, 2 cylinder diesel) which has a saildrive attached. We also have an ancient 2-stroke outboard for our tender that we bought for $50. We generally only use this when it's really windy as we prefer to sail or row our tender whenever possible. Fair winds, Chris & Rossella 👍
This isn't supposed to be a rude question, but how much was the original boat with no customizations? I absolutely loved every inch of the boat! great tour!
We paid the equivalent of 15,500 USD for her. Cheers, Chris 👍
Okay! Thanks! Who’s Chris tho?

We'll be refitting the new boat and plan on making a passage of over 1000 NM next year with our new 'Britalian' baby girl! You will be amazed at what your mind is capable of if you start doing this and you could find yourself achieving your wildest dreams. I read this in a book a few years ago and it seems to be working for me! Best regards and fair winds, Chris (& Rossella) 👍

The mast steps look to be installed upside down? The strength of the triangle in that setup is as a bottom support imo.
@@SailingBritaly hmmm

Hi there, thank you! All the details of the boat are in the video description. Cheers, Chris 🌅
What kind of flexible water tank have you in the bow? I've also a 30 foot sailboat but no tank in the bow, and looking into options.
Thanks
Hi William, here is a link to the kind of flexible water tank we have (Amazon.com): fave.co/2oldkTT
We have a deck fill with a large diameter flexible hose which runs down the stbd side of the fwd cabin before leading in to the top of the flexible tank underneath our V berth.
Place a layer of open mesh plastic onto the hull before fitting the flexible tank. It reduces chafe which is the killer of flexi tanks.
