This video is side by side with a Smithsonian story in their arts and culture section. It's a very voodoo freindly article detailing all the history from it's roots in West Africa. Way down in the article you will read the words 'The sacrifice of chickens, goats or cows is widely practised' This article is from 2017. Maybe the Haitians have trouble finding chickens, goats and cows to sacrifice in Springfield so they are improvising. Anyone think of that possibility?
