Clarification: Cartoon Network didn’t shut down, just moved to a new building This was a decision made by the previous management of WB back when they were known as “WarnerMedia” and the person who made this decision is named Jason Kilar. And the new building did took 3 years to construct and Brian A. Miller said on twitter that they were paying rent for the Burbank building for 20 years which is probably one of the reasons why they want to move.
By any chance has anyone ever read a Webcomic named Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi? It's a Cartoon crossover Webcomic prominently featuring the Powerpuff Girls. Basically, Cartoon Network albeit Darker and Edgier. Plus characters like Dexter (Dexter's Laboratory), Jenny (My Life as a Teenage Robot), Courage (Courage the Cowardly Dog), Jack (Samurai Jack), Otto Osworth (Time Squad), and many others are in it as well.
Anime being sprinkled about on broadcast TV in the 80s because it was cheap had a lot to do with anime gaining ground in the US, as well as filling a niche in the 70s when grassroots movements encouraged less violent cartoons.
Cartoon Network's Success Story Reminds Me Of when I started watching Obscure Forgotten or Failed cartoons In 2012 on UA-cam and now Dailymotion and It started with The Tick (1994) and 2001 live action series and moving on to 2024 with Blark and Son, Slacker Cats, The Dating Guy, Hey Joel and Kid Notorious
Has anyone ever watched an anime-influenced animated spy-fiction series called Totally Spies! (Starring a trio of high school (later college) girls from Southern California who work as international crime-fighting secret agents.) by any chance? If so has anyone heard of its 7th Season that's already been released this year? Just being curious.
If you guys still remember The Life and Times of Juniper Lee do you think it deserved to have its own revival? Because I think if it had popular demand or if the fans of The Life and Times of Juniper Lee had started their own fan campaign then the show would've probably revived with a few more seasons. I thought of these from both Ed, Edd n Eddy and Young Justice (TV Series). You see the former was originally going to end after 52 episodes, with the episode "Take This Ed and Shove It", but due to popular demand, the show got renewed for two more seasons and a television film. The latter was canceled after its second season ended in early 2013, but thanks to a passionate campaign from YJ fans it ended up getting a third season that began airing in January 2019, followed by a fourth season that aired in 2021.
@@IshmaelThegreat same. I haven't seen Juniper Lee yet, but I've heard good things about this show, and it absolutely deserves a revival. Plus, it would be great if Billy and Mandy got a revival, or a sequel/spin-off like Underfist, as well as Galactic: Kids Next Door, Season 6 of the original Teen Titans, and a sequel to Ben 10: Omniverse. I know Gumball Season 7 and the Gumball movie are bound to happen.
The only recent cartoon that even rivals old cartoon network shows is adventure time that show had some pure soul and even lore absolutely loved it even as an adult.
Funnily enough, I learned of Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z not from Toonami, but a show on a free to air channel, Channel 10. The show was Cheese TV. People like to forget and think that live action shows on Cartoon Network only lasted for 1 year on the channel. When it really lasted till 2013. Live action shows used to play on CN practically daily in the early 2010s. Moreso than it did in 2009 when CN Real was just a block on Wednesdays.
Cartoon Network changed my life. Every other cartoon channel always mixed in live-action and I wanted none of that. As soon as Cartoon Network went 24hrs, I rarely watched other channels ever again. Then [Adult Swim] came in and made CN more unstoppable than ever.
TTG was essentially that new kid that moved into the neighborhood and attended school in 2013, but they were that rude, mean-spirited, self-absorbed, arrogant, bratty, and spoiled kid who refused to share with the other kids (aka other CN shows) and always hogged the spotlight. And much like Caillou, they got off scot-free for their despicable behavior, and kept up that behavior even after all the other kids peaced-out.
@@tiredox3788 IKR. I think many people would be less angry if CN aired My Little Pony instead of TTG. I don't consider myself a brony, but at least that show doesn't insult its audiences’ intelligence and teaches good lessons that girls AND boys can learn, even if it mostly appeals to the former. Heck, even the grown-ups love it too. The point is that CN needs to give all of its shows in its line-up a chance to succeed and treat them all with respect. Sure, air the classics like Dexter, Courage, PPG, KND, EEnE, and Ben 10, but don't forget to try something new, like they did in the early 2010's with Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, and Steven Universe.

There’s a lot of programming that Cartoon Network did that was great, but I will not sit here idly and let you insult Johnny Test, as that is a fabulous show (for its first 4 seasons) that exists as it’s own separate from Dexter’s Lab! Also, for the Canadian shows, Total Drama is equally as hilarious and a welcome addition to Cartoon Network.
