I have the Halo Bolt, didn't buy it for jump starting. Bought it for emergencies and when lights go out during hurricanes, etc. But a neighbor has an old 1970's V8 Ford Van and couldn't get it started. I got my Bolt out and it started right up. I have had 2 items charging via USB plus larger fan running thru outlet simultaneously. Worked great.
Have Halo....two words..GAME CHANGER!! I have jump start 3 vehicles, each time it fires right up each time. I have charged my daughter's phones. It charged nice and fast. I have the model with air inflator and got me tire shop. I was just at lake and used it to plug in my Bluetooth speaker and speaker is huge. Played it for 3 hrs no problem. I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE. I know I sound like a commercial, but hey when you run into something good you wanna share it with all.
Daughter gave me a Bolt for Christmas five years ago. I've used it maybe four times. Mostly for motorcycles. So far, good enough that I bought both daughters one for Christmas this year.
So I actually found a halo bolt 58830 on the side of the road and it turned on when I pressed the button. So I went online and ordered the jumper cables for it and a wall charger for it also. I've used it so far on a friend v8 Silverado. Works great! He didn't think this little halo would jump his truck. I also use it camping alot to charge my phone up over night inside my tent. Then in the morning I plug the wall charger into my bed outlet in my tacoma and charge it back up. Works wonders! I would highly recommend the halo bolt 58830. I found this one on an exit ramp in the grass... I'm guessing someone left it on their roof and when they made that hard right turn in the exit ramp, it slid off their roof.
Another jump start option is Autowit that uses a capacitor that is charger by your almost dead battery. time to charge capacitor is based upon how dead your battery is. about 3 minutes generally. See reviews on youtube. I have halo bolt and used it a couple of times. Once was with halo left for a year or more without recharging. Just opened a new one that was a to be a gift that was atleast a year old and had 66% battery charge. Great product
Hi there. Luv your reviews. Do you know if either of them would hold out if left in a vehicle when -30 celcius? I'm in Canada 🇨🇦 and have been told that all small vehicle chargers die in cold weather so is useless if left in vehicle for winter months..... which is when I would really need it. My new job has nowhere to plug our vehicles. Sitting for 6-8 hours without being plugged in at -30c to -40c may be a problem
Although I've never tested in low temperatures, foxpeed says it can operate as low as -20° C all the way up to 60° C. Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
I’m curious to what the percentage of the fox speed was after you jump started the camper, I personally need a good jump starter and portable charger that’s reliable and I was looking at the halo but the fox speed looks great too
The fan stopped because the output current was too small and the output power was low, which triggered the short-circuit protection of the battery charger, so it needed to be charged and activated.
i don't buy anything anymore without looking for it on your channel first. super helpful.
Happy to help and thanks for the feedback. Have a great day and stay safe.

Will the Halo bolt charge a battery that I'm using the start my generator?

Cool
mAH & mWH are not the same.
But Fox-peed? Really?
I had to catch myself a few times as I was saying it. Haha.
