Hi Eric, I am currently a Junior at a university studying Information Systems looking to get into an SDR role after graduation. In your opinion, is it best to take a tech sales course like yours at this time or is it better to wait until I am a Senior near graduation? Also, if you were in my shoes, would you be applying to tech sales internships at this time? I am just a bit conflicted on what's the best thing to do as a Junior wanting to get into tech sales haha.

Thanks for reaching out and for the interest. I do think doing something sooner as opposed to later would be beneficial, in the sense that having your resume, LinkedIn, and Interview prep already in place (as well as in-depth knowledge about how to be effective in the role) will have you in a great position upon graduation. Even when I was an engineer, I started taking the job hunt seriously with 2 years left to graduate (also trying to secure one more internship), and by the time I was interviewing in my last semester I got a lot of offers because I had been through the process so many times.
Lastly I'd add the best thing you can do is start to build your network through alumni and career fairs now, even if its not a fit. If you come to the table as a college student and know a lot about the role already (versus basically every other student that is asking basic information about what a sales job is), it'll really set you apart.
If you have the time and bandwidth I think there would only be an advantage now especially for courses like ours with lifetime access. That being said if it ultimately doesn't make sense for you right now and I can help with other questions let me know!

@@techsales-higherlevels Thank you for the response Eric, I will keep all of this in mind. I do believe that taking your course early on would be beneficial and it does make sense to take action early. I don't graduate until 2025 so I am thinking that going through the higher levels course and then searching for an SDR internship is probably the best thing to do for my career? I was also wondering if taking on a high ticket closing/setting role at this time to gain real sales experience and adding that to my resume would be optimal as well? I am pretty unsure at the moment but what exactly would you do if you were in this position? Like what would be your game plan Eric haha.

@@kuyajoshl SDR internship is going to be the ideal experience for you. If you only had the option of high ticket closing experience that is better than none, but ya I would go out of my way to get an SDR internship especially if you have a career fair that funnels companies in front of you this spring.
Let me know how I can help but your head is definitely in the right place!
(by the way take your time but if you do decide on the course we have a code 'TSA20' for 20% off until January 1st)

@@techsales-higherlevels For sure! Thank you so much for the advice Eric. I will follow your advice and I most likely will do the course since I see the value of it for when applying to internships haha. Have a good one :)
