This man actually spoke straight to the fucking hearts of ROCKERS. Yet instead of having him in the R&R Hall of Fame we get a bunch of artists who don't even ROCK. The R&R Hall of Fame is COMPLETE AND TOTAL FUCKING BULLSHIT.
No autotune. No laptop. No bs. No ducklips selfies. Pure talent and hard work and respect for the craft of being a musician and a singer. Best ever. May the memory of Ronnie James Dio live forever.

Cool, was at this show at the Philly Spectrum, Rough Cutt opened. My first show seeing RJD, was a bit bummed Viv wasn't playing guitar but Craig did a killer job taking over.
I saw Dio twice. Once with Dio and once with black sabbath (heaven and hell tour with Megadeth!)... I'm so blessed. They almost didn't play die young, they talked about it during the concert.. but Dio demanded otherwise. The mayor of heavy metal did me a favour as it's my favourite.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised but holy crap, RJD sounds just like the album! he was amazing! obviously the other musicians in this band were amazing as well!
Philly guy here, saw Dio for the original Sabbath Heaven and Hell, then This and other Dio tours in Philly and Allentown Stabler Area for, Sacred Heart, Last in Line tours. This is a close a performance as you can see to the being there.
ONLY concert that I went backstage at was Dio...I am 6'5" and he was sooooo short but, man that guy was cool as hell. I had just joined the Navy and in doing so began my attending many concerts. The experience was kinda like when Wayne would be talking to Aerosmith...but, I was way out of my element/comfort zone :)
