The Concord Beta was better than expected

- Concord has gotten a lot of unnecessary flak for being a hero shooter and a live service title before it has even been played. With the first open beta period, players will have an opportunity to see what the game has to offer when it releases in August 2024.
I think that this game will surprise you, but it does have its rough edges.

Not a fan of competitive FPS but this one really hooked me. I think it’s unfair to pre judge this when it’s backed by industry veterans.
Thanks for being one of the few creators did not just try to make bank off of negativity like most people do and with the detailed descriptions you made I can tell you actually played a good amount of matches instead of just jumping in to grab footage so you can make a typical negative video. I too was pleasantly surprised with this game. I had no real hate for it but I really wasn't excited and then I found myself playing the beta all weekend long having way more fun than I expected

Unnecessary hate? It's a cash grab F2P game with microtransactions, I dont care about woke, dei stuff but 40$ for this? No, I will support the hate. Also most characters are just ugly.

I thought this game would be terrible but i was so surprised i played about 15 hours of the beta and i think the hate for this game is so unwarranted i hope this isn’t one of those games that gets shut down in a year because the core gameplay is amazing and i think it has lots of potential
I think a lot of people looked at it and saw overwatch. And because overwatch is dogshit gameplay, they expect this to be dogshit gameplay too.
I like how character switching gives you passives. You can stack up to 6, so in the respawn modes after you die six times you have all the passive as long as you've switched to all the different classes. It's interesting rubberbanding that is kind of the "anti-ultimate".
That surprised me when I first saw it. There is a lot of depth to this game.
Wait this is true for the tdm too ? Or only the second gamemode

Hold on, in TDM you still get the crew bonus by changing charaxters throughout the match. So there is a reason to go back to the character select screen
Agree completely on the respawn screen character select. Unneeded, you barely get to watch your teammates play to get oriented. I’d like it swapped with a kill cam personally
If you dont swap character you dont build up your crew bonus, it is necessary in orfer to use the games systems appropriately
@@zapmando I know but just have the player do it on their own and not force it in my opinion the screen takes forever instead of seeing what your teammates are doing or how an enemy killed you.

Found in my recommendations, though I personally have no interest in this game your video is one of the best reviews I have seen in recent memory. I love how you break down the subject manner and describe clearly what you like and don't like with no trailing off. I hope when this game comes out you and everyone else looking forward for it are able to enjoy it to the fullest
I 100% agree with everything you mentioned. The only thing I would add is it taking you back to the menu at the end of a match. It should keep you on the server for the next match. I also think it would resolve the issue when someone drops out, as someone could be added in mid match. I gave friends codes but none of them showed. As far as I'm concerned, they missed out because I really enjoyed it.
I actually enjoyed my time with Concord... Except for a couple of things.
The balance is really all over the place. Now, I know that's to be expected with hero shooters... But TO ME Concord seems really far away from being "well balanced"..
And my BIGGEST complaint is the 'time to kill'. By my measure you have to consistently hit headshots for 43 minutes to kill the squishiest of characters... Lol, I'm be facetious, but it's really out of control how long it takes to kill anything. It actually makes the pace of combat and match progression feel unnaturally slow... This feels like it SHOULD be extremely twitchy and face-paced, but it is not that.
But all-in-all this is a very good hero shooter... Better than most.

i liked it a lot, the only thing that is missing is a good trophy list
I played all day yesterday, and this game is very good. Need some tuning for sure and a few balance chages to the tank characters, but I had a lot of fun when playing with my friends and solo sometimes. The game feels like Team Fortress and a little bit of Destiny 2.

Different layouts for the same map would be cool
The devs need to combat the onboarding issues with very good tutorials in-game in order to put the concept across. The learning curve will cause population issues down the line.
Game is great, and it has great potential! If this game flops because of dumb people hating on pronouns, imma loose it fr.
This game looks cool, but idk if I’ll buy it. I think this game would benefit heavily if it was free to play or given out on ps plus.
It’s totally worth $40 lol. There’s like over a 100 cosmetics to grind for at launch.

I dont think they need to make it a PS+ game. Sony can just have free play weekends etc.
