Some Buddies and I went down to Lake Anna Virginia for some Winter Bass Fishing. The warm side aka the hot side is heated by a nuclear power plant. There are some good fish here, and always good quantities....but hard to find that big bite. Last year I experimented with throwing the Alabama rig (a-rig). not something I throw much due to bass fishing tournament restrictions. But this day....I caught them everywhere. I can see my skills in bass fishing building right in front of my own eyes. I'm loving the growth!

i love fishing in lake anna!!!
Just fished Lake Anna this whole week. Caught a few largemouths, a couple crappie, couple stripers. Not a lot of fish caught, but had a great time on an awesome lake. Hopefully coming back in the spring. I was on the public side. Launched at Dukes. Good people there.
I have never fished the public side, but prolly will I just moved to VA.

Hey Lou, really enjoy the great content. I'm trying to convert over to Lew's this season and branch out my technique specific setups. I wanted to see if you could recommend a good deep cranking rod and reel setup. Really value your opinions and appreciate the help. Thanks!
The mag cranking series is what I use...but the mark rose ledge series swimbait rod is pretty amazing. For reels....bb1, deep spools and slower ratios

The sepia toned grass fishing review was a great idea. I like the lure notes on the screen. Unfortunately chandelier rigs with more than 2(?) Hooks are not allowed here in Minnesota.
