Catching Prespawn/Spawning Bass at Lake Anna in April

In this video I travel to Lake Anna in Mineral Virginia. A few weeks ago I was able to find a few spawning fish but the cold weather has delayed the spawn a few weeks. I was able to find some nice spawning bass and challenge my friend to see who could catch the best three bass. Why did you put some back?
When I’m fishing for bass I always put them back at the end of the day, but when the bass are spawning it’s important to put them back immediately so they can go back to their bed and keep defending it. If you take them off the bed and let them go in a different area, you risk them not returning to take care of their bed.
