awesome table! I am working on something like this to set on top of my existing table. Thanks for the great step by step video! I know how hard it is to work while filming. Great work!
A very nice peice. The one thing I would suggest to save yourself a lot of extra work and save time, would be if you wish to difuse the light better without adding in a back peice , take the acrylic and sand the backside with a medium grit then a finer grit to even it out . That will give it a frosted glass look and then evenly distribute the light.
Thanks for this video! I’m looking to start building a desk but was a little worried on not having the fully equipped wood shop with the extremely specialized tools that seemingly everyone has, but I think I have access to most or all of the tools you use. I’m also thinking of using some harvested cedar so I was really happy with the way it looked in the end. Thanks again, great job!!
This was really awesome!!!! Definitely will make something like this soon! On a personal note, if your not busy, I think you would definitely make an awesome wood worker along with being an amazing welder!
I want a big light table. I have the glass and supplies to do an 8' x 4'. I can build the table but I do not know what kind (watt age and such ) to get the light strips in to make them bright enough. I my husband knows enough about wiring to wire them in. I know it will take close to 50 feet of strips and it will be expensive. I want this table to be multiple purpose so it needs to be big. Can you tell us what light strips you used? I have been researching it but I can not find the info we need. Thank You
I got my light strips from amazon, I don't think the lights need to be anything too fancy because mine worked perfectly fine and they were only like 20 bucks. Basically all you need is some LED light strips, and some sort of material to defuse the light. I used packing foam that I had on hand, but something like parchment paper would probably also work. It might be worth trying some different materials to see which works best. Aside from that, that's pretty much it!
Yeah I know, I was pretty disappointed by it. Fortunately I have a new camera now, so once I finally get back to making more videos we'll definitely get the money shot👌
Love my new table 😘👍

Really loving what you made her. Do you mind sharing what tools you used in your process? Thanks Neally
I didn't use anything too fancy, just a mitre saw, table saw, chisels, pull saw, hand plane, and a biscuit jointer for the the table top! ✌️

Good work. Was that white lexan you used as a diffuser?
Thanks! It was some sort of packing foam I had left over, it was about a half inch thick
This climax moment is missing in this video!

Planning on making my own, but rather 7 feet wide.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks fam
what's the thickness of the plexiglass you are using?
1/4 inch if I recall correctly
Very nice
Thanks!
Where can I get those led's you used? The strips I can solder.
I ordered mine on Amazon!
@@Neally Is it just called led strips?
Yup Led light strips
What’s the cost of materials?
I don't remember exactly, maybe $100-200.
@@Neally thanks for the reply man appreciate it. This table looks incredible
@@benjaminotero7253 No worries! Sorry for taking so long, I didn't see it until today. And thank you!
Hey, is there a way you could post the schematics
There weren't really any proper schematics for it, just that one little drawing, and don't think I have it anymore
Aargh ... tattoos!
Tattoos indeed!
