Right? Rarely seen anything so intimate, heart-touching, warm and beautiful, gay or str8. Makes me tear up every time. The actors clearly oooooozed chemistry, on-screen and they also became close off-screen right away. The director said that he would've walked away from the movie if they couldn't find the right actors. Took them nearly half a year, but I'm glad they had that patience. And yes, I felt like an intruder, too. They hired an intimacy coordinator for the movie, and obviously he could help Taylor and Nicholas to let go.
This may be a dumb comment but it’s so nice to see straight men embrace and see romantic gay movies and series and understand that love is love. Being a little older than them, that wasn’t my experience with straight men growing up, it’s almost emotional to see the younger generations be so open minded and just caring people. ❤

Thank you for being so respectful, kind and genuine!! I usually don't watch straight people's reactions when it comes to LGBTQ media, they're usually homophobic at least, but this was def fresh air! Will continue checking out your channel. Thank you for giving this movie a chance
zahra being married to henrys guy is so funny in the book cause they try to figure out who zahra is married to the entire book and then she calls him to get henry and alex to talk to each other and it was literlaly the funniest reveal in the book in general loved the book and the movie, they casted the characters perfectly and im glad you all had a great time watching haha
I was re-reading parts of the book earlier this week and I forgot that when they first find out that Zahra has a boyfriend, Alex jokingly asks her if it’s one of those situations where “he goes to another school” or “is from Canada”. Also, they aren’t married in the book, they are engaged.
29:19 She actually DID make a slideshow about Alex dating Henry. Her main concern was if he was using government funds to go visit him (no), and taking him off her campaign.

Zahra (Sara Sahi) is so so so beautiful, the timing she had delivering every line was literally perfection! Also, she's also an icon to the lgbt comunity, more specifically to the saphics!, she played Carmen in The L word for a coupple of seasons
Her scene where she discovered Henry in the closet was improvised. Matthew the director only gave her the direction to go search the room, the rest she did herself, so the reaction of Taylor Zakhar Perez when he directs her to sit down is totally genuine.
Zach, Bryce and Rob have different opinions, expressions etc throughout, but at 23:50 they all have their eyes popping out of their sockets at the same time 😆

Honorable mention: "I though polo was when you lined up on different sides with the javelin and tried to knock each other off". That guy is so freaking cute like all of you. again. great video
I completely agree with Zuff about Henry looking like Macaulay Culkin. I thought the same the first time I saw this movie. Uma's daughter Maya Hawke plays Robin in Stranger Things.
Rob was the MVP for me on this one! It was evident how comfortable he is and didn't shy away from reacting to this like any other rom-com! Love all of you guys 🫶
“They were definitely meant for each other” damn im crying. Also the movie was an adaptation made with so much love. BUT amazon studios did intervene with some stuff. Which made the movie sort of lose some depth. Like in the book the American politics def made it hard for Alex too. Miguel wasn’t a character, the person who outed him was Richards, the white man running from the Republican party, who used Alex’ sexuality and the amount of times he traveled to Europe to see Henry a point in which why America shouldn’t vote for Claire (Alex’ mom). He also had a sister. And they both struggled to get their mom’s attention sometimes bc of her work. His parents were divorced too which def affected certain ways in which he looked at love, especially love within the world of politics. He also had a mentor, who isn’t in the movie, who was queer and had supposedly betrayed him which is why Henry had gone to the hotel he was staying in (where they got caught). Henry went because he heard Alex mentor joined the Republican party and he knew alex was incredibly hurt. As well as the email leak wasnt just about their relationship, but their family secrets, like Henry’s sister addiction and issues with his grandma and mom. As well as with his brother, and Alex’ family issues. The mentor didn’t betray alex either, at the end it was that Richards, the Republican lead, had sexually assaulted many young men (even though he trashed on the queer community) so the mentor had joined the Republican party to try to gather information about the allegations. He helped Alex prove publicly that Richards had leaked the emails and THATS what won them texas. The proof that the Republican party had fucked with citizen private emails regardless of how people felt about the queerness. Amazon studios didn’t want the plot to revolve too much around other characters that weren’t Henry or Alex, so they cut the storylines of all the surrounding characters. Nonetheless the love, chemistry, and bones of the plot (as well as Henry and Alex’ personality) are very much there and well done!!!!
I’m 62. I can’t imagine a movie like this being made when I was in my 20s, let alone three bros reacting to it in such a non-threatened, matter of fact manner. Awesome.
In French the idea of 'normal', means that it is strange, unusual, special. Here their relationship is what is expected, there's nothing strange, it is the expression of what everyone would do. What is done is what both guys want what is happening. Not straight vs gay, etc, it means you are responding as both desire. In the Anglo world it is unexpected : the Anglo world is without comfort in being real, sensitive, no censure. One responds without censure because responding sensorially is real life. His body is warm, his lips soft, his lips sweet: no criticism, only appreciation for the courage to be oneself and real.
the intimate scene in this movie gave me the same feeling as when Marianne and Connell were together in normal people, like I was intruding on something I shouldn't be watching

@@davidcarr9772 Decades ago, queer was mostly a slur, but more recently, it has been reclaimed and used positively. It's now an umbrella term for all of the minorities of gender, sex, and orientation. In this movie, Henry was gay, Alex was bi, Amy the Secret Service agent was transgender.
I loved your guys' reaction. So genuine, respectful and heartfelt! If you guys want to see more like this, there is the series Young Royals that I really recommend. Its about a young Swedish prince, who struggles with being royal, quite like Henry.

Thanks for sharing this experience.
When I was 18 years old in 1989, there was a movie I rented - sort of a mainstream one called Making Love - and it was from 1982. It was the first time I had ever seen two men kiss on screen. My jaw dropped, and I felt like I was in the moment with them. Never had I ever even imagined how normal it would be to even see on TV and movies now. It just didn't happen then.
The great line for all of us was, "And you can live the rest of your life in your castle, but nothing will ever happen to you." This is such a great message to all of us.
I love this movie!!! I have watched it 4 times in 1 day and I cannot stop. The book and the movie are great. The chemistry between Nick and Taylor is off the charts!!! I laughed, I cried. Everytime I watch it I see more details and nuances that I missed. The love making scene was perfection!!! Never seen anything like that before. ❤️ I have now seen it 18 times, I am not kidding! It just gets better and better!!! ❤❤❤ my new comfort movie
omg it's so crazy that you noticed Nicholas' resemblance to Macaulay Culkin because I made a funny cast moments video and someone commented that he looks like Macaulay Culkin if he used more collagen and that killed me!! lmao
By the way, good on you guys for touching on the emotion on Henry's face at the end, his relief and genuine surprise, as he sees his country has come out to support him and his relationship with Alex, finally putting his fears to rest and allowing him to be himself openly for once in his life. I can't help but think there is someone out there who somehow misses the entire point of the movie and thinks the crowds are cheering for Henry "just for being gay" or something, which would obviously be such a watered down, wrong way to understand it.
Oh, but you are missing the point because the map did not label the states. In this alternate universe, that state with the familiar shape was" Maga-sota," very red, so that everything could then hinge on Texas, no matter how cringe-worthy.
I am so glad I decided to watch this reaction, I was nervous of watching 3 seemingly straight guys react because guys from my generation wouldn't watch this at all. It actually made me really emotional seeing your reaction. Instantly subscribed. Thank you for being you, can't wait to watch some more of your reactions.
I’m so proud to see you guys open minded to my community. Love how you give a positive reaction without making any negative comments. I appreciate your positivity and you guys are awesome !!
These guys' reaction videos are so damn enjoyable, they are the best, so chill , relatable and endearing NGL. And they truly watch and pay attention to what they are reviewing unlike some other spaz cases that are nothing but a peanut gallery.💥🔥🙌🏼
basically in the books, the first time they meet Alex was apparently so excited to meet Henry and he used to admire him or something like that and then Henry acts as if he's not interested but at the time his dad had just passed and he was forced to do stuff like that which he didn't like.
Honestly my favorite reaction to this movie thus far. I love watching three straight guys rooting for a same sex couple to have a happily ever after. You earned my like and subscribe times 1000!

Thanks guys, I like you more and more after every reaction!
As an aroace I always laugh at or skip sexual scenes I just find it boring.
@@XMissGXI’m aroace too and I do the exact opposite. I love romance

5:40 What actually happened was Henry tried to walk away, Alex reached out to stop him, so Henry SHOVED him away, which knocked him into the cake.
I love that you've analysed this!
@@-jacinta- no I didn't. I read the book.
@@-jacinta-they are talking about the book events which isn't exactly what played out in the movie.
@@videohistory722the book has minor differences
"I'll break the sound barrier for you," is one of my favorite rom-com lines ever.
Naww when he said 23:26 like he just got kissed that was too pure lmao
27:57 I’m glad someone pointed it out 😭 was staring at it the entire scene
The sad thing about when Alex was trying to say I love you is that Henry loved him right from the start and just never believed Alex could love him back😭😭😭 my sweet babies! This reaction was so good 💗
"Maybe it was a ghost" I CAN'T😂😂
This world needs more people like you three.
The movie is based on the book of the same name. There were several changes in this adaptation, but I feel they did an incredible job with the movie.
Thank you for being so respectful, kind and genuine!! I usually don't watch straight people's reactions when it comes to LGBTQ media, they're usually homophobic at least, but this was def fresh air! Will continue checking out your channel. Thank you for giving this movie a chance
Y’all should watch the trailer for Bottoms to see Henry in a whole different light lmao
zahra being married to henrys guy is so funny in the book
cause they try to figure out who zahra is married to the entire book and then she calls him to get henry and alex to talk to each other and it was literlaly the funniest reveal in the book
in general loved the book and the movie, they casted the characters perfectly and im glad you all had a great time watching haha
I was re-reading parts of the book earlier this week and I forgot that when they first find out that Zahra has a boyfriend, Alex jokingly asks her if it’s one of those situations where “he goes to another school” or “is from Canada”. Also, they aren’t married in the book, they are engaged.
right!
29:19 She actually DID make a slideshow about Alex dating Henry.
Her main concern was if he was using government funds to go visit him (no), and taking him off her campaign.
I love it so much, I missed that scene in the movie
@@not_llike_thatIt was not in the movie fyi
@@arasilky ....and that's exactly why I missed it
I meant missing in "I wish it was there" way, not "oh no I skipped it" way
Not a native speaker here, but I think it's the right way to say that
@@not_llike_that😆😆😆😆😆
Zahra (Sara Sahi) is so so so beautiful, the timing she had delivering every line was literally perfection! Also, she's also an icon to the lgbt comunity, more specifically to the saphics!, she played Carmen in The L word for a coupple of seasons
She is absolutely an ICON in this
Her scene where she discovered Henry in the closet was improvised. Matthew the director only gave her the direction to go search the room, the rest she did herself, so the reaction of Taylor Zakhar Perez when he directs her to sit down is totally genuine.
I have loved here ever since Person of Interest
She’s great in Sex Life too!
I'm a 71 year old gay man in the UK, and I love you guys. Platonically of course.
Zach, Bryce and Rob have different opinions, expressions etc throughout, but at 23:50 they all have their eyes popping out of their sockets at the same time 😆
great vid guys. Love the absolute lack of homophobia. And, your comments were spot on. My favorite two comments "I feel like I've just been kissed" and "Is this a true story?" Honorable mention: "I though polo was when you lined up on different sides with the javelin and tried to knock each other off".
"is this a true story?" Lmfaooooooooooo endearing
Not rob referencing the kate sharma/prince henry c*ck meme lmao
that took me out lmao the way when he mentioned "screenshot" in that scene i knew exactly what he was talking about
“They were definitely meant for each other” damn im crying.
I am so happy to see young men looking at gay relationships as normal. Many of my generation and older would freak out at such a movie.
I’m 62. I can’t imagine a movie like this being made when I was in my 20s, let alone three bros reacting to it in such a non-threatened, matter of fact manner. Awesome.
Thank you for commenting without assuming their sexuality. 😊
43:34 never change Zuff 😂
“That looks like a Minecraft block. I’d tan on that block” I’m LOSING it
the intimate scene in this movie gave me the same feeling as when Marianne and Connell were together in normal people, like I was intruding on something I shouldn't be watching
i loveeeeee this movie and Alex calling Henry Baby is the cutest thing ever
Hey guys. Can I just say you guys make me smile and just brighten my day. Being a gay male myself I so appreciate that you guys love and enjoy reacting to LGBTQ content. The main thing is that you guys are so genuine with your reactions and it means the world to me. When Rob in the past calls a gay couple "cuties" my heart just melts. This movie is so damn good, funny, emotional and powerful. I low key cried can't lie lol I am so excited to see y'all do a reaction and commentary on it I never clicked so fast 😂 yall never disappoint me at all. ❤ Great reaction
I am a straight old lady who loved the film; just saw it this weekend. A maypole is a tall pole outdoors with ribbons attached to the top. People grab a ribbon and circle around the pole in May. It was a tradition years ago mostly in Europe.
The ghost kiss got me 😅 as always, I love your commentary!!
7:29 the apology 😂😂
im always weary and lowkey scared of watching straight guys reacting to queer media bc they're often weird about it and make icky jokes, but you guys are so cool and funny, i have such a fun time watching 😭 love yall, your videos and reactions! :) great video as usual!
Gay not queer !
@@davidcarr9772op didn’t talk about gay media only but queer media in general
gay is queer...queer is an umbrella term to some people. @@davidcarr9772
I have to say this is the BEST reaction thus far and I keep coming back here. Y’all are the best. The Trio I never thought I needed 😂😂😂

Y’all are one of favourite reactors here so jffjgdj I’m glad you watched this. As someone who has read the book multiple times I’m very happy with the adaptation
I gotta say this is the first video i have seen of y'all and it genuinely was so funny and comforting, also the book and the adaptation mean so much to me as a Mexican who's part of the LGBTQ community, I am very glad it has opened up to other groups outside of the community, I am a fan of your channel now. Thanks for sharing this experience.
24:06 - Bryce you killed me 😂
When I was 18 years old in 1989, there was a movie I rented - sort of a mainstream one called Making Love - and it was from 1982. It was the first time I had ever seen two men kiss on screen. My jaw dropped, and I felt like I was in the moment with them. Never had I ever even imagined how normal it would be to even see on TV and movies now. It just didn't happen then.
SCREAMING at Zuff's "Is this a true story?".
Bro I wish it was 😭
The great line for all of us was, "And you can live the rest of your life in your castle, but nothing will ever happen to you."
This is such a great message to all of us.
Your reaction to the full name scene is everything 😂😂.
nah cuz i was hoping for this. my fav movie/series reaction channel and my fav summer movie!
I have now seen it 18 times, I am not kidding! It just gets better and better!!! ❤❤❤ my new comfort movie
Just starting watching you guys and the looks on your faces when Henry says Alex is a mouthful was hilarious :)
omg it's so crazy that you noticed Nicholas' resemblance to Macaulay Culkin because I made a funny cast moments video and someone commented that he looks like Macaulay Culkin if he used more collagen and that killed me!!
24:08 i chocked on my fucking water GUYS LMAOOOOOO that was hilarious

Agree. That show is such a fun, easy watch
YESSS just in time for October too
I love this until the end because Minnesota WOULD NEVER 🤬
I appreciate this commitment to Minnesota’s strong democratic allegiance.
Oh, but you are missing the point because the map did not label the states. In this alternate universe, that state with the familiar shape was" Maga-sota," very red, so that everything could then hinge on Texas, no matter how cringe-worthy.
I liked the movie until they showed the map! Minnesota has voted Blue since 1976! And since 1932 (91 year), MN voted Blue 20 times and Red 3 times.
Agreed!! Never ever!
