The fix doesn’t have to be so expensive. If you get an F430 without cracked headers, IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE EXHAUST BRACKETS. The center mount is all you need, the additional brackets are actually too tight and what cause stress on the headers, leading them to fail. Should you NEED new headers, get the “top speed” headers. They’re about $1000-$2000 USD. Not bad at all. And it’s a DIY job if you’re handy.
The brackets are half the problem, the other problem is the welds on the headers were not done correctly for the amount of stress. The brackets really become a problem when the motor mounts start to deteriorate and the engine begins to move around more during shifting, causing further stress from the rigid mounts. The only fix is to replace the headers and get the sport exhaust from Ferrari.
I’ve had an 08 F430 Spider for three years now. It has run flawlessly. I did need engine mounts though. They make a huge difference. Anyone looking at one of these should check them. Not expensive if you do it yourself.
i can’t recommend the scud relay. had one in my similarly gearboxed R-tronic audi R8 and all it gave me was errors and issues. removed it more than a year ago and have had trouble free gearbox since
well, the bracket on each side of the muffler section are known to fail on 430, also inspect the headers too. I had to replace the headers because the factory one was leaking slowly, and the heat it produced can damage the wires and pumps over times. Also, when the bracket fails, the vibration can also break the tail light clips.
The opening music is nothing short of an auditory assault. Brutal.

It all depends how you drive it i know couple 430s with 40-50k km on them still with stock headers and no leaks even with stock clutch
Thanks for posting great content!

Holy shit the intro music 😂
Why is there so much rust?
I thought saggy exhaust means engine mounts need to be redone?
