- Welcome back to Another episode!
In this video we fibreglass the main 2 stringers from stern to bow with a mix of CSM and 1708 to get a strong thick laminate. We then trim the fibreglass to get a flush finish to the foam that was shaped in the previous episode to then tab them into the hull permanently.

Loving the build so far mate, if you don’t know about it already would recommend using “peel ply”. When it comes to grinding back the glass for flowcoat will make the job 100 times easier.
Look forward to seeing the progression
Hey thomas, yes i have heard of this, need to look into it, thanks for watching :)
It is going to be a very strong boat as it seems. Great work!
You are right to use foam for your restoration. No more rotten wood.
thats it! thanks for watching :)
What type foam is it

What type of foam is used
I’m new to boat reno’s and had a quick question, why are the stringers not wood filled?
hey buddy, just another way to do stringers! thanks for watching :)
What kind the foam did you use?
gday mate doing a magic job can i ask what that roller is i have the ordinary ones but that might come in handy as i move along in my resto never seen one before .
Im interested in that other fin roller never seen one before
Hey buddy, just an expensive fin roller from my local resin shop, works very well with the cloth! thanks for watching :)
Nice work mate👌 whats the reason for not bogging the stringers in like normal?
Thanks Brad! the stringers are made of foam, bogging wouldn't achieve much, just a waste of resin/bog , strength is in the glass and the tabbing :) thanks for watching :)
@@AngryMackAdventures thanks mate i assumed as much👍
Did you use any product bog peanut butter etc. between the stringer’s bottom and the hull?
Sure did :)
I feel obligated to say: First!
Haha thanks Max!!
Please throw on glasses mate. Protect your eyes when glassing
hey buddy, Thanks for picking up on that, something I miss! thanks for watching :)
