Thanks! I'm not using an actual metronome. I'm using Akai's MPC 1000 which is a sequencer. Generally speaking, they both serve the same purpose in this context, but the MPC is a lot more easier on the ears.

So you can load audio loops into and fire them off and have them sort of filling things out with a groove underneath your live playing. You can also load individual drum sounds in and program drum patterns to play along to. Heck you can even load in sound effects to fire off with the front panel pads.
This might not be an appropriate question to ask, but what do you do for a living if you don't mind asking? You play really good, are you a full time musician?
