My needs in life are simple: I see a new Mark video, I click. This is a great project. I think it would be fun to do with kids, too. Families get together at this time of year. Better for the kids to make something fun and useful rather than plopping in front of the TV for several hours.
I am on my holidays - so it looks like I’ll be catching up on some Mark Montano crafts for inspo as I’m doing a staycation craft diy flipping furniture etc projects I’ve not had time to do now my dream has come true
hope you are doing well! I needed something to get me thru this chaos and started at your books but thought maybe there's videos because watching you make them is just as inspiring! THANK YOU! Be well! Thank you for the continued inspiration!
OMGoodness these are so cute and I love to upcycle! But instead of candles, I think I'm going to make colorful craft supply holders by glueing several together in a circle onto a lazy susan!!
Mark! At first, I thought you were going to fill the entire can with wax (which I like that idea), then you switched it up & made it so a tea light could show at the top! I love this idea, but what I love most is that you gave me new ideas on how to upgrade a buddy burner (you probably already know this, but just in case, it's a portable fuel source to cook with made w/corrugated cardboard & wax - if using a tuna can, you get about 3 hours of cooking time) made from a small tuna can into a regular size tin can or even a #10 size can. This is wonderful - THANKS for the inspiration! Jackie
Wow, i got busy and almost missed this craft, but I really like them, so clever to use up all that space with the plaster of paris, I'm loving them and who doesn't love a pretty candle burning or glowing with the battery operated tea lights. Thanks again Mark for another beautiful craft, these are one of my favorites. I hope you have a great day and I will see you on Friday for sure, bye for now.
Well these are exceptional !!!! i am riffling through my recycling bin for tins today, and will make these as gifts for my neighbors and friends, as this time of year things can add up quickly, great project, we love it !
You can also use airdry clay with unrecycleable waste such as plastic Christmas ribbons in the tin and recycle glitter foil wrapping paper around the can, and instead of printing out pictures, just use images cut out of magazines, or old books. Also using this idea, but halfway down the tin, and piercing a pattern of holes so the light flickers through. I love your idea, and have saved a ton of different size tins to use with any left over wax...will definitely do this!!
I’m always talking about your videos to my husband who is also named Mark. So to wake up and see he had sent me this video was cool. Anyways this project will be done in my house soon. Maybe even today!!! Thank you as always!
I love the upcycling aspect of this project. It's practically all trash! So very cool that he sent that to you. BTW, I'm glad you left me a comment. Means a lot!
OMG! I can't wait to make these. Why didn't I ever think of this before, lol. Been needing some type of holder for my led tealight candles for a pathway and these are perfect. Thank you for the ideas as always.

@@MarkMontanoMakeYourMark thank you! I’m an art teacher, and really into upcycling, so I’m constantly covering tins for art supply distribution. I just found you looking for diy boho bracelets. And I saw this. I recycle all of my med. size cat food cans and have been wondering what to do with them. I love this idea.
Mark.... it's happening again... your genius is showing!... Of course I love it and couldn't you decorate as you've done but punch small holes in the can and use either candles in jars or battery operated so as not to harm the pictures... just a thought. Hugs Lynn Weasenforth 😘🤩😉🌹😍♥️💜💯
