They have shields that repel super-duper-heated plasmas and gas projectiles, metalworking that resists superheated stable solid-light plasma (or whatever the hell lightsaber beams are), and an entire planet covered in city-to the point where oceans are kept in storage tanks. EMPs are probably childs play in Star Warfare, something that might have worked back in the days of the ancient Old Republic but by the time of the Clone Wars they probably had a fix for that, some sort of anti-electromagnetic field or circuitry that wasn't vulnerable or even the metal they were built from was enough to shield
Thing about a theater like that is for a Clone ground force that survives long enough eventually becomes very experienced and lethal at fighting in that world environment. It's about the only way such a place ever finally falls and becomes pacified.
I would love to see a new gritty tv show/ movie/ video game that focuses on the clone wars. Both animated series are great, but something more along the lines of republic commando mixed with jarhead would be awesome
What would be hilarious is if the atmosphere of the planet prevented the shutdown order or they had an advanced tactical droid that did like General Kalani thus making the battle go on and without the jedi to help them it would take a long time with Vader probably being called in.
AT-OTs would actually be pretty decent for that type of terrain. They'd essentially act as walking gunnery platforms which is what you'd need in that environment - to give yourself the high ground and keep your guys out of the muck.
