Doing what exactly? The same thing as a dozen other streaming platforms? They only difference between Disney Plus and CBS All Access, Peacock, or Amazon is that they actually have properties people want to watch. And before you go off on them buying stuff... what did they buy exactly? Their animated films are all theirs, or at least produced by them via Pixar. The live-action remakes is just them picking the corpse of their old IPs (same as everyone else is doing). The MCU became a smash despite the most profitable characters in Marvel's portfolio already being licensed to other studios. The only thing they outright bought that got them here was Lucasfilm. Now they've bought Fox too, but they paid a HEFTY price for a dying studio's portfolio. Honestly, I expect us to look back in a few years and say that they choked on Fox.
@@silverblade357 Yeah. That was one of the things about this video. Netflix wouldn't be confused about someone willing to lose money in order to expand marketshare in order to taker over the world. That's THEIR plan.
Disney has their own publishing companies. I read a lot of books too and have read a few of theirs. They have some good authors commissioned to do books based on their characters.
@R. Alisha No. I'm currently reading The Phantom of the Opera, the Muppets Meet the Classics version. Very odd since they're in the 1800s, but there is UA-cam and jet skis. And the phantom (Uncle Deadly) mentions in a letter that he's looking forward to the day when you can record your voice. So, if UA-cam exists, you can record your voice. It's still pretty entertaining. And some parts are clever. Instead of the Angel of Music, Piggy's (Christine) father (Rowlf) refers to the Koozebanian of Music. It's not a Disney publishing company, it's Penguin. I don't have a Disney book on deck for a while. I've got a few of the Twisted Tales books to read though. I've read the Beast one.
@R. Alisha The Beast one was okay. It seemed like it didn't really get a resolved ending and could have a sequel. But, as far as I know, they don't have a sequel planned. As for reading, best advice is just to set aside time to read each day and take a book with you places. Like, if you go to the doctor, bring a book instead of looking at things on your phone. Studies have shown that it takes a lot of concentration to read a book and that things like computers and phones have us used to switching quickly between tasks, so it becomes harder to read unless you get into the habit of reading.

Wait, did someone actually think this was a joke? It wasn't obvious that Disney was doing that?
Nah its real
Isn't Netflix already in massive debt anyway?
@@silverblade357 Yeah. That was one of the things about this video. Netflix wouldn't be confused about someone willing to lose money in order to expand marketshare in order to taker over the world. That's THEIR plan.
I stocked up on Disney stock right before Disney plus was added ima retire off there shady practices
It’s funny because He’s right when he’s talking about how Disney will own the world lol

Me:“Ha jokes on you Disney+ I read books-“
Disney+: Starts releasing books
Not Disney+ but Disney does already release books. Have for a long time now
Disney has their own publishing companies. I read a lot of books too and have read a few of theirs. They have some good authors commissioned to do books based on their characters.
Blue Shard Oh, I kinda didn’t really know, thanks.
Honestly though, the Disney+ Clone Wars finale was perfection and I am happy it was made
Yes it was and Netflix cancelled when they already had started on the next season. Some of what was planned for it like the bad batch arc became a Disney's final season
If it didn’t have the sisters arc and had the utapau, cad bane and boba episodes instead then yeah.
