I had a look at their youtube videos, seems to be a very big library of construction details to add to the quotation, surprisingly good detail.
Its honestly really good. Well worth £30 month
This site needs a few tweaks to it and it'll be excellent. It's very good for sq buildings but it starts getting tricky when you've wrap around extensions, buildings that aren't square and for internal plans of extensions. Even when the roof changes angles on the build module, Its stuck on one option . For example Im pricing an extension now that has a long flat roof and in the middle, there's a small peaked roof. I can't marry the two together on the build module. Also for internal, If there was a 3d spec for inside and it calculated all labor and materials like the exterior of the building and foundations, it would be a game changer for me. For now, it's a 3* site out of 5. Although with that said, once they tweak the site as I think they are in the process of doing, it's going to save me an awful lot of work pricing. For now, I'm using it along with still using the aul pen and paper 🙈. Here's hoping it'll be tweaked sooner rather than later before i give it all up.
What you need to do is price it all separately. So 4 separate modules . 1 flat roof - flat roof covering - pitch roof timbers - pitch roof coverings. But your right theres no easy quick way of pricing. I use pen and paper still to work out my quants before imputing on software
I get that it needs split into separate modules but that can have its issues too.
I have issues with the vat rates also. I'm in Ireland and our vat to charge is 13.5% but we pay 23% materials. So when buying materials with 23% on then we charge 13.5%, the software can't read this. It's either one or the other. Again thou, I'm not knocking it to much. it's a site that so much potential for us. It just needs a few added things to the site and it'll be perfect.

No not way over. You can see the breakdown on each task and you increase where you think is necessary. Experience always helps with pricing. But this def saves hours of time

Hi Kam, our projects are around 2500-3000 m2 up to plaster finish. So you would double the floor m2 to cover a double story. We can get any jobs estimated for you

@kam gunner if you said 2.5 m wide, by 8m thats 20m2. So double would cost 100k-120k plus

I’ve got my own home improvement business and I’m looking for some pricing software. We primarily do windows, doors and other UPVC related products. it would be ideal for our porch/conservatory builds, but would this work for pricing windows/door only jobs?
This software be perfect for that. If you no your prices for windows you double check it all.
Hey man I’m a chippy from NZ, been here in the UK for one year and doing a big job for a woman on charge up/day rate as a learning experience for me, so I didn’t price the job. It’s my first time going out on my own, and I want to keep working for myself in the future and take on another big job but I’m absolutely fucking terrified of pricing a job wrong.
I’m already finding on this job there are a lot of hidden things that would never have been accounted for, and very unique things like a very custom deck, building a sauna and stuff
I am so scared to price my first job man, do you have any tips outside of using software like this?
I’m a good carpenter and I deliver a high quality product every time, maybe a bit slower than some because of this, but I want to do the best job I can. I’m a bit unfamiliar with UK practices and regs at this stage too

Does the software have prices already set up? Or do you need to put your own pricing in each section when you first installed the software? obvious prices on gear differ in different locations.
Hi craig. Its got live prices for materials which updates every 2 weeks. The labour is set at hourly rates which you adjust to line up with your blokes

Hi mate, im still using the same software yes, i absolutely love it. The materials are spot on, and i just adjust labour to suit each task/situation.
