Just got my 2024 gti last month and I’ve already lowered it with H&R springs and did a few other aesthetic mods. I’m now looking at the CTS short shifter, 034 intake + inlet and unitronic intercooler. Ur vids have been helping alot thank you

I have the R600 intake, IE intercooler, AWE track exhaust and just had the Unitronic dp installed along with Uni's low torque stage 2 tune. HOLY SHIT, what a difference!!! The Uni dp may not be cheap, but that sucker added some flow! It also doesn't throw a code, and according to Unitronic, it also passes local emissions. Hope you get a chance to slap one of those on and put out an impressions vid. Thanks for the content, it recently helped with my decision to go Unitronic over my APR tune, which was a more than excellent tune too, just no dp option.
Good to hear on the Downpipe because that is one hundred percent something I would like to add to the 40thAE ! Out of curiosity since you also have the AWE track setup , with the Downpipe how much louder does it get ? I do daily my mk8 and take my daughter back and fourth in it and I don’t want it to become too much what are your thoughts ?
@@octane_media MUCH louder! You know how it braps when you shift at around 5 or 6k, those braps have turned into BRAAAAAPS!
Seriously though, it sounds great. It's pretty loud on startup until it warms for a minute or two, then it mellows way down. If I leave it in drive, it's much more subtle but still louder than sport was before the dp. In sport, this thing screams! Hell, it screams in drive if you floor it enough.
My thoughts are that you'll love it. I have toyed around with throwing the resonater back on just to hush it up a little, but I feel that I'll just miss the rowdiness if I do.

I just got the plastic APR intake and love it. Fits perfectly and looks great with the stock engine cover.
That’s awesome ! Did you have to get an engine cover from the dealer or did you happen to get one with your car ? Both of our cars didn’t come with them.
I just bought my car 3 weeks ago (black SE with leather) and it came directly from the dealer. Slowly working on mods. I think bronze wheels are next. Will get it tuned after I hit 1000 miles to be safe. Not sure if I’d go with 034 or APR yet. What are your thoughts on those 2? Oh…and how did you get the R display??
@@hovan2yourjunkI got the R display using the OBD11 tool it makes quick work of that kinda stuff . As far as those two companies I’ve only had experience with the 034 tune and unitronic tune . I haven’t had the pleasure of driving with APRs software yet !

imo the linkage for the shifter is the priority. At least on mine, the linkage is very stiff and can be difficult to put into first gear unless you put it into third first.

For me personally yes it’ll absolutely wake the car up you won’t be disappointed, but it comes down to what you prefer as an individual! Thank you for the compliment and the comment!

does the leyo air intake come with the sai filter? also, have you tried the leyo both open and closed? is it noticeably quieter closed?
I haven’t tried it open and closed , but the leyo filter already isn’t closed all the way . It’s noticeable louder and yes it did come with the SAI filter
did you get ur car at murdock ? i got mine at strong.
I did I got it at Murdock in Logan Utah ! They were MSRP when everyone else was marked up.
