      Claressa was too fast for her and quick on her feet, she did the best she could with what she had and showed courage under fire. Throwing more punches would have just left her open for more counters. She was courageous enough to get in there which is more than many would do.

  • @junfrick79

      You seem not to understand the game. She in my opinion was secretly prepared to hurt Shields who had prepared for the opponent she knew her style & strength. @peaceseeker9927 Рік тому

      Looking at her past record, even if she had more time to prepare she would not have done much better. Claressa's hand and foot speed along with aggressiveness overwhelmed her. It's easy to sideline box as opposed to being in there under fire.

    • @AAMS664
      @AAMS664 Рік тому +1

      @@DaveBoxing 36 hours to gain 15lbs or 36 hours to lose 15lbs as the Champ or the opponent is unbelievable. But if she’s more comfortable at 147lbs than I understand her logic.

    • @njjn4101
      @njjn4101 Рік тому +1

      @@AAMS664fighters regularly rehydrate 15-25 pounds after weight ins and in between the fight. Most of the weight they lose is water so putting it on is easy and quick. Also many fighters fight at the weight they walk around at and many fighters lose 10 - 30 pounds to fight. So it’s not unbelievable it’s actually really common. It sounds like cornejo fought at her natural weight and shields had to lose weight to make weight and rehydrated.

    • @cliffordhill2365
      @cliffordhill2365 Рік тому

      My answer is IDK who is the GWOAT! The only way to really determine it cannot happen. The way to determine would be to have a box-off between those who are in the GWOAT discussion like Shields, Leila Ali, Anne Wolfe. To me, it's between those 3 fighters and everyone of them would have a chance to beat each other from what I saw. I could see Shields beating the other two by UD, but I also could see Ali imposing her size and technical skills on the other two, then I also could see Wolfe (who is the biggest puncher of the 3) catching those guys with one of her nuclear bombs.
