Still struggling to close the polling gap with Labour, Rishi Sunak will be hoping his manifesto launch will do just that. But with no major policies that haven't already been announced, it's unlikely to happen. So what exactly is in the Tory Manifesto?

It's not about what you want or what you find comfortable. It's about duty. Those doing national service can quickly and easily take up roles in infantry, which is the only thing that can hold ground and defend territory. If our government isn't forcing the youth to defend the country, another government will be forcing them to give up many more liberties. That is unless you want to completely abandon NATO and commit to 100% to non-intervention.
Besides, Tories aren't getting into government. It'll be on Labour to decide if they want to introduce some sort of conscription. And when they do, you'll go silent, because you only critisise if the policy is coming from the Conservatives.

@@jonsmith5058 I read NickH's comment with the "Labour ideas" and "new bills" as two separate points. Labour have been accused of not putting forward enough policy ideas (rightly or wrongly) in the recent past (hopefully their manifesto will have some interesting aspects to it). Meanwhile the Tories have been putting forward new bills over their 14 years, new legislation will never stop coming, so it's appropriate that the parties update their manifestos every election.
Saying all that, they've definitely tried to put some eye-catching ideas in for their target audience (triple lock + on pensions and National Service both definite nods to their older demographic).

Lib dems and greens have more policies targeting younger voters. Check the manifestos. Also labour have some policies relating to what would benefit younger voters.
These parties have policies include decreasing voting age to 16, Labour want to create a national green energy company, nationalise trains (good for young voters as they use trains a lot and should bring price down) lib dems want to bring in PR voting which is good for democracy as resonates more with younger voters. Green want to scrap tuition fees.

Ah yes, the housing crisis. A problem definitely not started by a certain Maggie when they stopped building council homes!

I want VAT to go back to 17.5% as it was before the financial crisis in 2008. Like they said they would do once we recovered…

I assume they're not putting any restrictions on the new housing like, "Can only be purchased as a primary residence; cannot be purchased as 'income property'? Or passed legislation to make it so that if your mortgage, etc. would be equal to or less than what you're currently paying in rent, you're approved?
