It’s not an allusion. I watched this debate on David Pakman’s when he played the video. It seemed as though you did not listen when you were disagreeing as was evidenced by your eye rolls.
I felt that David backed up his statements better than you backed up your ideas.

It's interesting that it's almost impossible to make a strong argument in good faith to defend just about any popular right-wing position. I wonder why that is? For example because I'm not going to just sit here and make insults without being specific and giving substance. For example in this debate this conservative did not in any way address or talk about any of the stronger positions against Trump in the hush money trial. He only focused on the weakest points which demonstrates he's not making a good faith attempt and analysis of Trump's guilt or not He simply pandering to a certain audience who doesn't want to hear the Trump is guilty. If I were a dishonest actor that wanted to panther to conservatives I wouldn't do much different than what this guy did. Again focus on only things that weekend the case or make it look dubious.
For example you could take a very reliable brand like Toyota and make it look like absolute garbage if all you focus on or talk about are issues. You mentioned how many recalls they have done you mention every single time that another car was voted as a better car or safer car than Toyota. And you ignore any positive highlights.
There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with other people in fact you can make a good faith argument challenging the case without just ignoring the substance of it and focusing on everything that you can use specifically to make him look innocent.
The way you do that is by first not being a parrot of Donald Trump himself using his exact wording of how he describes this trial as a show trial political trial whatever. You use your own words and present your own unique personal opinion of what you feel about it and it should never in good faith be described as anything like a show trial. You acknowledge the strength of the case and the things going good for it but then you also highlight genuine issues like for example Michael Cohen is not trustworthy but you don't do that without providing the context that they were many other witnesses that confirmed what he said who spoke before him. Pretending like Michael Cohen was the only witness is classic bad faith.
The emergence of "two truths" does no justice to the right wing ecosystem, but it seems to have pervaded the entire party since their media started going all in on Obama. When conservatives step outside of their bubble and need to live in a world where talking points are reinforced with multiple bullets of supporting evidence, a lot their arguments fall apart.
It's been a long time since I've been able to watch a civil discourse between two opposing views. Nice work from both Will and David to make that happen. We need more of this kind of intelligent content.

Even though I disagree with Will Cain a lot, I really like his style of doing interviews. The respectful tone both in this and in Destiny's appearance from both sides was a welcome change from the screaming matches you see elsewhere where nothing gets hashed out. Would love to see longer format interviews/debates!
