覺得人生有可以令自己投入嘅事，其實係一種幸福。JayMe 讓我看到的不是work life balance，而係點樣keep住自己嘅人生永遠有團火。做呢個訪問之前完全唔認識DJ嘅世界，開頭都有啲糾結，怕認識嘅人覺得我講得太皮毛，唔認識嘅人又冇興趣去知。但經過監製同剪片嘅幫助下，睇完個成品再諗返，如果呢個訪問帶到唔認識嘅人進入呢個世界都唔錯呀～ ❤️
Everybody wants this. This is normal human behaviour ?? To be in control of yourself, and of your emotions. That is what being a human is about... Even if you don't say it out loud, say it to yourself. I do. "I have to do better tomorrow than I did today." Besides.. what he is also doing , is in control of his own creation as well.. on the music side. Lots of students are DJs in their spare time here in the UK. To socialise, and to network. Lots of university extra curricular cover these kind of hobbies. "How do you wind down in your spare time?".... "I am a DJ in my spare time, to offset the stress from work." "I am a social dancer in my spare time, for the exercises to destress." "How do you handle stress when it happens ?".... "I exercise afterwards to counteract my emotions." It's all there.... we're human, but we also have to be disciplined ?
It's something that has been a part of his life since his 20s, isn't it ? What are you going to do ? Remove this old gentleman from something which is a part of his life, and his world.. from him? Would you not see the situation like that ? I still love dancing too.. which is something that I picked up, during my university years. In a local aerobic class near my university. I then continued this with more formal lessons.. and then also did amateur teachings, and picked up theories... etc etc. And rediscovered my music understanding from my junior school days as well. "If you don't use it, you lose it." Well.. for many of us old aged biddies.. we are losing it... sometimes, you need something for yourself, and not for others. While you juggle so many things in life as well. He seems to have a routine. Good for him !
No wonder I couldn't find old music in HK when I tried to look for it a while back. Cos it was in black record formats.... and no wonder I couldn't find... those. But DJ is a very technical skill and job as well. So..... and a lot of people can't find these disks any more either... so.... Well, he's in a pretty position, ... cos... well.... they can't find it any more at all now. Canto-pop DJ'ing is rare.... Maybe for the younger generation, they won't know why people are into DJ'ing.. The fact that everything is to be patented now... when you do create a dj sequence, and patent that... that is your creation basically. So.... and yeh.. London's music scene is quite sophisticated. Presumably similar for NY too. Surprised that he got the book by Bill Brewsters from London....
