As much as I love having Siobhan back in the group, I’m still a whore for Overload just like everyone else, Heidi made it into the group with what she could offer, and made it what it was. This album really is Sugababes for me hands down. The diversified sound, the approach to every single, and them being representatives of every race possible, it was magic.
20 years of this album. How time flies! Crazy to think how young they still were here.
I love these Documentaries! Please continue all the way until the last album
Fun fact: Eternal's management, that Heidi talks about, is 1st Avenue - who also managed the Honeyz. Heidi did in fact try it out with them and recorded a few demos, one of them was the Honeyz's 2001 single 'Talk to the Hand'. The Honeyz went on and kept Heidi's vocals for background on the song, she's credited.

@@beyondthetapes No! I meant that Heidi tried it out with 1st Avenue as a solo artist and recorded 'Talk to the Hand' before it was passed to the Honeyz, however - they kept her background vocals like I said. But I can understand how my wording can be confusing sometimes so I apologize.
You put a lot of work in these documentaries. I really can’t wait for the whole trajectory. It’s really emotional seeing the whole journey of such a long running band.

2.0 for me will always be the SUGABABES Sound. 1.0 was too Siobhan for me, 3.0 was more pop and 4.0 was Jade and her backing singers

Stronger has always been my fave track of theirs and I never knew the conenction to Heidi and how she felt on joining, but it makes sense and that gave me chills, wow
Freak Like Me didn't really got much attention in the Philippines where I grew up, so I've always thought Round Round was their first single with Heidi.

Could you make a documentary about Spice Girls' third album Forever? It seems to be forgotten. I still don't know to this day what happened with the original material and why all of a sudden they turned into an r'n'b girl group.

What a timeless classic!
I love this album so much that it's the reason why it took me years and years to give _One Touch_ a try after _Flatline_ gave me a first taste of what MKS sounded like together: I was afraid that a whole album of them would have ruined _Angels_ for me. Thankfully, that hasn't happened: _Angels_ stood that test, and while part of me will always wonder how amazing it would have sounded with all three OGs on it, I've made peace with Heidi being the price we had to pay for Siobhán's amazing solo records to exist. As long as Mutya and Keisha were there, even Heidi didn't sound out of place, and the songs on _Angels_ are such timeless gems anyway!
I just found out that they were supposed to come to the US in 2002 via Universal Records

Angels is the best Sugababes album to me, their most important, their breakthrough, their biggest hits. One Touch was their warm-up, an appetizer. Angels brought the ultimate line-up of Mutya, Keisha and Heidi. Sorry, but Siobhan felt clearly uncomfortable as a Sugababe and left them as soon as she could. Only after her solo career failed, she decided to rejoin them. But Angels, Three, and Taller are the ultimate Sugababes albums to me. Their imperial phase. 👑

You know i forgot how much i love Keisha's voice. All of them really, but with later girl groups they're all trying to sound like Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera belting over each other. I think all the Idol shows etc added to that and reshaped what a "good singer" is so now they all sound the same and have to be warblers.

Please tell me I'm wrong but it is really obvious that Keisha was a pain in the ass all through the time. She always threw side looks at Heidi and always wanted outsing them all, no wonder she was kicked out of the group in 2009. I like Sugababes but now that I'm older I can see a bit more. Keisha certainly was star struck and was not the friendliest person in the world at the time. Heidi is stronger.
Nah I agree with you. Keisha seemed very shady all the way until she left the band and I definitely believe the other girls felt bullied by her. She seems more chill now though and I'd like to think she's changed
You should check out some of Keisha’s videos over on her own UA-cam channel where she talks about her time in the group and some of her ‘shadiest moments’ it’s funny. She is very different now and has a lot of self-awareness.
there might be some truth to this but the media also played a huge part in her "vilification" as she was a young black woman thriving in an industry that wasn't necessarily geared towards people like her.
Am sorry but I don’t believe that’s true. Keisha has her own channel where she addresses these so called “shady moments” and bullying allegations. I have seen it done many times when a black girl is assertive and confident, they class them as bullies.
@@kanyeeast1115 they’re still doing this to this day. If you ever watched X-factor, if there was a black girl and she showed confidence, they immediately would say they acted “cocky”, so people wouldn’t vote for them. Misha B was a great example of this, great talent, nearly made it all the way to the final, and then coincidentally rumours started about her being a bully, so she never got to the finals.

Did you watch the documentary - it says they were called Automatic Kitten, and later renamed (as we now know) Atomic Kitten
Also, Keisha you've got to remember that you've had all the best hits when Heidi stepped in the group. You were not a solo artist.
