- Hey everyone just a quick video on my preferred triger settings for the G7 and G7se. Most of you guys know this but I've had a couple of comments asking for this so here it is.

The fact that they still havent updated 1000hz correctly is enough to warrant going to another company. Beyond no excuse for a company to shell out a half baked product and take more then half a year and still going without a proper fix
Hey so the 1000hz is a work around they’ve figured out, there’s a really good in depth explanation on their discord. When this was announced I thought it was a Microsoft thing but after reading their method I don’t think Microsoft has opened the 1000hz. Sony has the edge running at 1000hz so we might still get it officially from Microsoft.
Now looking at the market for controllers with back buttons that are Xbox licensed, these are the best controllers to date, no one has the highest alps in a controller at this price, all use the cheapest modules available G7 is the only one, the one after that is the fusion pro 3 and that’s £80 here. G7se has HE sticks with back buttons again at a price point we haven’t seen touched by anyone else with a licensed Xbox controller. Sure if you don’t need a licensed Xbox controller then there are other options available. So for people on Xbox platform these are simply unbeatable unless you spend more money.

@@CookieMonster-we1in hey I never received a product from them, in fact I was the first reviewer who said this isnt for me due to some hesitation in aiming I felt.
Ok if I’m a clown can you kindly point out which controller licensed by Xbox has back buttons, and at this price with the alps or any modules that are rated for 2m actuation, not the cheapest modules rated for 1m actuations and only 100k press of the tact switch in them. Let me save you the trouble of googling it as there isn’t one out there. All the PowerA,PDP and even turtlebeach recon has the lowest stick modules.

I had to reduce mine because I found hair trigger meant I was misfiring a lot! I forgot about the in-game trigger settings. Good stuff :)
Really in depth and I think solved my problem (exact same one you had with it stopping firing in middle of burst when I slightly let up my finger). Great Vid!
I needed this video badly lol im the opposite to you when it comes to spamming the trigger but I still had my hair trigger setting on but seemed like I was getting miss fires. Now putting the min and max low with no hair trigger has made all the difference
I found out that if you dont enable the hairtriggers and you only use the deadzone slider and you want to use it as a hairtrigger for example like 0 initial 1 outer and you use a semi automatic rifle in any game and quik fire it, your rifle starts to jam randomly, also the same with a pistol. To fix this problem you need to enable the hairtrigger toggle at least for the right trigger and put your deadzone slider initial to 0 and outer to 80 or the setting in this video to solve the jamming problem. in least in my case.

Bought a G7. Because its from china it will take a month, but its good, so i get the time to wait for they to realease the 1000HZ update again lol. Hope they re-laucnh it this month. And please keep us aware if any update regarding overclock comes. Really great job!

I think everyone should disable hair trigger or at least change the maximum/minimum value at the minimum because we zoom in/out too often and it's destroy our aim + we shoot very quickly and we can miss a lot of bullets, specialy the first ones.
We gain a little bit of times with hair triggers but we can loose fight a way more easily cuz we miss more bullets and zoom in/out more often...
This is a big deal!

I just got the G7 SE (of course after the update was pulled smh) and the stealth ultra, and I also have the Victrix Gambit, but I don’t know what it is with the Fusion Pro 3 that it feels the best and most responsive all around and is my go to right now, I play COD on a Series X
The fusion pro 3 has a bit of a hyper response, I made a video showing response shapes of different controllers. If you prefer the fusion aiming then most likely G7se, stealth and even Gambit will feel different as all have a bit smoother diagonals. The only other controllers I’ve tested that have a similar aim to Fusion are the Thrustmaster Eswap S/X.
Try the linear response curve for all the HE sticks controller on cod, to me they work the best with linear.
Interesting will try that! And also the Gulikit KK3 is out which is also capable of 1000hz polling rate, is it compatible with Xbox and will you be doing a review on that?
@@greatestever105 hey KK3 looks so good but unfortunately not for Xbox. Currently I’m only reviewing Xbox and PS controllers, working my way towards getting a gaming pc so hopefully sometime in future will look to review it.
Hot glue the back of the triggers, thats what I did. I made stops for it.

do u think u could make a quick vid? cuz ive tried and on the g7se the triggers kinda go away from the edges as u press them in so its more difficult than my other contreollers
Hey I was thinking of doing something as well but it has to be removable coz a manual calibration needs the triggers pressed in. The calibration is an important process as it allows me to keep the centre of the stick to a position with in the stick slop. Are you able to press the triggers in fully when need be?
@thephototechy In case I needed to recalibrate, I simply removed the hot glue. It takes a few minutes to reglue. Since I only use this controller to play COD on PC, I only did it once with hair triggers ON.
I find myself grabbing this controller often over my Scuf Envision Pro and that says a lot.

what would be a better settings for a game like rocket league for pc ? where the triggers are to go forward and reverse ? would the hair trigger come in handy?
Been using the G7se for about a month now and really don’t know what to think of it. My aim has just felt off with this controller. I can’t really explain it. Would you have any advice on what to do? Had a 5 kd on the warzone using the thrustmaster eSwap s, and I’m currently struggling to keep a 3.5 with this controller
Hey so the EswapS and X are definitely one of the best aiming experiences, not only the module they use has an interesting spring position internally, they also use a very well calibrated response curve for the output.
So there is this thing I do to try and get aim feel the same on different controllers. Use your EswapS with your preferred aim settings and try make an infinity symbol on the aim stick, whilst doing this check your aim response on screen, you are looking for acceleration or if you have a uniform response with your preferred sensitivity. One thing I’ve noticed about HE sticks is the uniform output, where the normal sticks at certain positions give us a higher output. G7se does have the raw mode but it’s not a one to one feeling to a potentiometer stick, and definitely not to the type of C&K and Favorunion modules in Eswap and Gambit.
I have a feeling you won’t like the G7se until the 1000hz drop again. This is what I’ve tried to explain before about HE sticks, they are different feeling and really need adjusting to. There are other things I’ve done prior to the 1000hz, where I used Xbox sticks and calibrated the controller, this makes the active area smaller as Xbox sticks have wider shaft, also try the linear response curve in COD.
5 KD is truly something bro, if you accept HE sticks full time then I’m sure most of us will be fine as well 😂.
Ive been reading recently that the HE sticks are not as precise as the usual ones? what are your thoughts on that? Are G7SE sticks more or less accurate as maybe dualshock or Xbox controller?

The new 1khz update came out I updated today and now one of my controllers has stick drift....yay.....and yes I don't have 0 as my dead zone
Hey so the centre spring will develop play in every controller, Hall effect and potentiometer, but with Gamesir controllers you can adjust the centre position with a manual calibration. I made a video showing the method, link is below hope this helps. Also if you could share the amount of register you get at rest would be nice, I myself have around 3% in all directions, but if the centre point was bad then this could be a 6% in one direction.

@@thephototechy both of my controllers are only a little over 2 months old. Both were working 100% fine zero issues then i did the 1k update and now it gets stick drift. not all the time like it constanlty just slowly moves like normal drift its "sticks" to the direction i just went instead of going back to zero. and it does this ALOT. i have my zones set a 5. so yeah idk, i think the update broke my controller but i only think its broke on the pc. I screen captured what im talking about but seems trying to make a video it wont let me...if you have a dropbox or something i can send them to ill send them

I've been trying to calibrate the triggers on my Gamesir T4 Kaleid controller, but no matter how many times I go through the calibration process, I can't get the 0 deadzone to stop flickering. Do you have any suggestions? Maybe I could reach out to Gamesir and get a replacement..
Hey 0 deadzone is very sensitive, have you tried manual calibration but press triggers in first slowly then rotate the sticks?

I’m excited for the BFG for Xbox as well, a little confused between the EswapX pro 2 and the BFG though, coz I love the EswapX. I’m hoping the EswapX 2 has no issues with the sticks this time around.

Hey so on Xbox I mainly use G7se, EswapX and Stealth Ultra. I've just started using the Razer Wolverine Chroma V2 for its review but not sure if it'll make my daily driver. Personlly I've cme to a point where I need true 0 deadznes, a video on why is coming very soon.
i dont use hairtrigger mode. its wonky, i just put both triggers in the software 02 - 04 and they act as hairtrigger with no wonkiness
Hey have you checked that your triggers were calibrated perfectly? So with full enabled 0-100 the press should be linear one with no jumping and reaching the full 255 values towards the end. It happened to me after a calibration through nexus that my triggers were playing up, doing it the manual way fixed the issue. But the best thing is the ability for us to decide what works best for ourselves.
@@thephototechy my issue was having hairtrigger setting on both triggers, sometimes when ADS'ing and firing id stop ADS'ing for a split second and would ruin my shot. manually setting min to 2 and max to 4 fixed it for me.
Cause you set it wrong I had this issue myself I just go to the second profile and use that one instead of the first profile select hair trigger and it works well
@@mobilegamercapone impossible to "set it wrong" lol. Bunch of others have the same issue with using both hair trigger at same time and left or right trigger being intermittent. I play on pc at 1000hz poll
@@XxAtomic646xX hey yes that’s definitely an option I had issues with my triggers but calibrating them fixed it, mine were registering a totally jumpy output when pressed, now I have a full linear press and the settings shown in the video is what I use. The best thing is the options we have for everyone’s use case.

Bought this and they reverted the 1000 hz right after. Ranked drops soon and I don’t know if I should get a different ball effect controller with stops and the 1k hz.
Just get normal potentiometer sticks they perform better in my personal opinion. I do think HE Sticks are the future but they aren’t quite there yet.
So I find without the 1000hz it takes a bit to get used to the HE sticks, that empty feeling with low tension seems a bit off at first. Stealth ultra seems to have changed their aim algorithm a bit and feels very responsive. You do have the option of normal sticks and in my experience they do perform better, specially to me it feels I can stop the aim exactly where I intend to. If G7se didn’t have the 1000hz on my unit I’d probably be using the EswapX this whole time or the Fusion pro 3.

Hey that driver conversion adding a higher poll is still happening on xinput test, there is an option to download a script on the pc but the option isn’t doing anything for me. I only play on seriesx and it should be a 1000hz on Xbox as no driver conversion by windows needed. Atleast that’s what gamesir have published on their discord and they also point out it’s the reason all licensed Xbox controllers can only be overclocked to 500hz with other methods.

Hi man which controller is best for aiming and which controller has best aim assist not all controllers have equal aim assist feeling some controllers have trash processor so aim assist don't kicks in quickly like Sony playstation controllers .
Man the timing of your comment is insane, I literally was playing with the BFG, Nacon Rev 5 then Dualsense edge. I’m a bit surprised how good the edge is for aiming compared to the other 2 on PS5. On Xbox I played with the normal G7 the whole day yesterday and was having so much fun in the 1000hz on seriesx. What you’ve mentioned feels like a combination of things, I tested all my Xbox controllers with high speed screen recordings and found some to be slower than others. The best result Ingot on Xbox was the elite series 2 in wireless but it was inconsistent, sometimes really quick response other times not, in wired it was pretty much like the others.
One thing I personally feel needed is a true 0 deadzone, I find aiming feels really solid with a true 0 deadzone controller, using in game deadzones for avoiding the drift. So for me aiming wise the best would be the thrustmasters, G7 and G7se, I’m taking the gambit out as thrustmasters are doing a similar thing with true 0 deadzones.

Hey so currently the update is still not out for the 1000hz, also the 1000hz on PC doesn't show a proper 1000hz. According to gamesir there is an 8 ms poll added by the xinput driver conversion every 7-8 polls, which brings the response down, but 500hz is very consistent. I only use it on xbox and do like the feel of the 1000hz a lot, not sure if xbox is also doing the finicky 1000hz as we don't have xinput test to check. According to my screen recording with high speed camera, the xbox definitely saw an improvement with response for aiming.
I think for PC you might like the T4 kalied better but I havent tried that myself, everyone else seems to love that controller. If you do have an xbox then man either the G7se or the G7 are definitely an easy recommendation. Once we get the 1000hz back it'll make them even better, I do count myself lucky as I was able to do the update before it was pulled. I do use them daily myself.
I have a G7 SE, but I am facing a problem with excessive sensitivity in all games. Is there a solution?
Hey have you checked if the sticks show a linear movement on gamepad tester, check that you don’t have sudden jumps in response on the sticks, also have you tried the manual calibration?
Also, don’t forget, after adjusting settings, calibrate the controller, exit out, then unplug controller (I wait 10 sec), then plug back in. Then all the crazy sensitivity issues I was having are gone. When I forget to do those steps, literally my controller has a mind of its own, even shoots when I pull the left trigger. Do the steps above, and issues should be clear.
@@thephototechy I only tried the Nexus gamesir, and yes, there is speed, even though I tried to reduce it, and this happened to me after the update. I don’t know if everyone is like me.
@@kincaid3967 hey try the manual calibration method, Ive got a video showing the method. It’s happened to me with nexus calibration before where my triggers stopped working, manual calibration fixed the issue.

What settings do you recommend for halo? I've tried everything and my AR keeps shooting in burst. I had to settle for 0-100 with no H.T.
Hey try 5 min and 80 max with HT. pistols can benefit with the hair trigger and if you press the trigger more than 80 then you won’t have the burst issue. Also have you checked the triggers have proper calibration?

@@alienware9578 Do what is shown in the video and see if that works. Otherwise, I think you might have a defect controller, a bad one. I would say to return it and get another G7 SE if you can't fix your issue.
I’m needing some help with my triggers. I took after a post on Reddit and glued a physical trigger stop on my g7 as triggers, and now I’m in a funk trying to get it calibrated as I can’t use a full trigger pull… any help?

@@karimaxwell5290 so in my first review of the controller, I noticed a sluggishness but the firmware updates improved it a lot. I was doing some high speed screen recordings and found the G7se a tad bit slower in 250hz than G7 and some other controllers. 1000hz has really changed the controller for me, I’ve put on so much time on it that the sticks feels like completely broken into and very soft, but they work perfectly.
If you have any Xbox thumbsticks laying around, I’d suggest put them on and calibrate the controller. The standard Xbox sticks have a wider shaft so once calibrated with them you’ll get a smaller active area. This could feel a lot more snappier, I was doing that before the 1000hz update.

Hey have you tried the manual calibration method? It happened to me once when I calibrated through the app, both my triggers stopped working, doing the manual calibration fixed the issue. Remember when calibrating press the triggers slowly and hold them a bit firmly towards the end.

Hey have you checked that your triggers are calibrated properly? It can happen that your triggers might be a bit more sensitive than mine, so reducing the max from 90 to something lower like 80-85 might help. Otherwise a manual min max will be needed.

Hey in my testing, most controllers do this, only one I have giving full register just just before the thumbstick gate is the thrustmaser eswapX. The wswap controllers seems to have a really high resolution sticks as well so not sure if that makes them being able to reach the most outwards when hitting 100%.

Hey so Gamesir products are a bit strange. The normal G7 is the cheapest controller with back buttons that uses the Alps sticks, every other Xbox controller with back buttons at this price is using the cheapest Favorunion sticks, these sticks have a much shorter lifespan 1m rotation and only 100k presses of the switch inside. Alps are rated for 2m rotations and 500k button press inside. Favorunion has a higher model but that’s used in Gambit and BFG, also C&K modules in thrustmaster controllers are very similar to the high favorunion model. So honestly the G7 is very unique in that regards.
Now I understand that PowerA, PDP and thurtlebeach recon are retail units, so the shops have to make a lot of money on them, hence the use of cheaper parts. Gamesir we are buying from manufacturer direct, either through Amazon or their website and they are passing is those savings. G7se with Ksilver JH16 is a unique product again and will be even more appealing when the 1000hz drops again.
Personally I think Gamesir’s licensed Xbox products are a really good deal, coz looking around the cheapest controller with back buttons that has good sticks is PowerA fusion pro3, but the cost cutting on that thing is massive, we have trigger stops with no auto adjust max deadzones so some games at shortest trigger settings guns won’t even fire, yes I found a work around and made a video but that’s a standard feature of trigger stops, specially when they are Hall effect triggers. I can go on and on brother about Gamesir products but I’ll say this, if someone out there want to save money and get the best possible internals at the least price possible, then they need Gamesir controller. Everyone else who can afford more, sure have a lot of options to chose from.
