I’m going to be doing a carpet to lvp transition but I don’t like this method. Fold and tuck look bad on top of tack strip. I get, you needed something to staple to but it creates the big hump. You’re better off using the clamp down(metal with built in tacks) in this case. From carpet to zero
That’s a t-mold not a reducer. And that installation is incorrect. If installed properly you don’t need construction adhesive. Also the point of the moulding is to hide the edge of the carpet or flooring you’re transitioning to. Folding and having nails showing is just ugly. Hire a professional that knows what they’re doing.
Question Should my installer of used a metal edge to install mext to my lvp? Should of installed on top of lvp? Also off topic of this video do I need to have hand rails installed before carpet? I am doing a new handrail with metal spindles and to me I see it as better to install carpet then handrail so carpet is not cut so meny times the wrapped around steps.
Why would you use outdoor carpet to demonstrate this process. Who really uses outdoor carpet inside there home? The demonstrate with a carpet that has more pile to it than that carpet and the low padding its not real. So please do it better for others who can see a demonstration that is true to most households please. You also forgot to demonstrate the install of your molding? Really all you did was show butting the carpet. Try again.
I am a flooring specialist and he just wasn't being real. Thats upsetting. But I guess people with little money it could work for them? Idk I just wouldn't use his technique. So I asked if he could do a better demonstration thats all. That is constructive. BTW I found one of his videos that was upgraded. And I appreciated that. Ty have a good evening.
Its really not negativity. Its opinions. And I'm sorry if you have never layer flooring you wouldn't know the difference between constructive criticism vs negativity. Be truthful not fake...
@@helenlandreth166 Negative... Opinions. They could of just kept it to themselves, but no. They gotta comment it for some reason. I see that as negativity. I guarantee 90% of the people with these negative comments don't care about the guy in the video enough to actually give him constructive criticism
@@helenlandreth166 If it were to be constructive criticism, the comments wouldn't be so angry. You don't give constructive criticism in an angry manner. How is anyone going to want to learn from someone who is angry at them? That's just not how it works So It seems like you're the one who doesn't know the difference between negativity and constructive criticism

It's astonishing to find so many videos by "professional" installers show casing the fact they are hacks and feel the need to show everyone.
Just saved me from an extra trip to Lowes and the transition has the wife’s approval. Great video.
Question is what will happen first ?
Trip and break some bones or carpet peel up from tripping?
The installer used this technic and now there's a huge resultant gap as well as a step.
DO NOT DO THIS!!! Couldn’t be more wrong

Love the video! Good idea but not 100% sure tripping wouldn't be a problem though.
I would trip on that for a month until I got used to it.
That does not look professional
Can’t understand why you’ve not used z-bar?
Wow that’s sloppy
This is definitely a better view boss thanks. I saw someone also said the same and then you made a better view in a more recent video. Awesome work
Don’t do this. It’s Christmas completely wrong
Z-bar bro!! Also roberts staple guns ABSOLUTELY suk!! Can't believe yours is still working
I use my Robert's for years 6 days a week.
How come you didn’t use the Zbar sitting directly infront of you?
Those millions of nails will get someone bleeding at some point

Your commentary is super annoying.
Man no wonder so many people are so sad with their lives. So much negativitiy in the comments
