    I’ve been a floor layer for 19 years. Been doin big commercial/institutional work for the past 8. Jobs most folks wouldn’t know where to start on. That said, this might be the most insane yet amazingly useful thing I’ve ever seen. I had no idea. And that’s rare

    Flooring Installer here from Canada I ordered the make-it-match tool back when you first did a video on it and have been putting it to alot of use making custom stair nosings and transitions even wrapping floor heat vents but now you just showed me more tricks to this trade awesome ideas!       @@innercityracer sorry for the late reply, I use contact tape its a very sticky type of tape and find it adheres very well once heated with a heat gun but has to be applied smooth otherwise it will ball up like a booger lol I get mine from a local flooring supply store comes in different widths but im sure you can find some online

      I now make all of my transitions. Let me take that back. I use Ali tramline transitions most of the time or probably about 60% of the time and I make about 40% of my transitions because they need to be custom for one reason or the other

      You can do this without it, just use the scrim tape and peel the plank by yourself, are used to do it all the time until a couple months ago when I got this tool

    This is awesome , is this your idea? Very clever. Big box stores should be put in jail for the amount of money they sell transitions for and they never match 100% this is it the best way to do it if you don't have something come with your floor never go to home Depot don't do it ... Some people are a little dumb I guess they trust the name when they say free under pad or free installation they're still adding it into the price which you're paying double for to begin with.

    Do you still use the Stairrods Ali Tramline Transitions? Or is this your new go to method for transitions?

      I do both, if I am able to use the Ali tramlines I still prefer them, because they are easier than making transitions from scratch

    Do you think you could peel off that top layer of vinyl by hand slowly with help from a heat gun? or do you need that type of peeley tool lol

      It can definitely be done by hand this tool just makes it easier. Do not use a heat gun on it though until you are done.

      PL premium or any construction adhesive and or Brad nails if your guns strong enough to go threw the vinyl

      Are usually put some construction glue with a couple pin nails into it, where it will not interfere with expansion
