I love how they discuss important aspects instead of how many cameras it has or how large the infotainment screen is.

the first screen I saw in a car was in a 1985 Buick, they hadn't invented touch screens yet. just think of how big a backup camera would have been back then

Well, all those special things are standard on all trucks now. Only mechanical difference you'll look at nowadays is it's 4wd or 2wd and if it has lockers or not.

The Chrysler ads are the most ludicrous. The very things that they bring up as negative features of the competition, they end up using at some point. But at least the manufacturers weren't afraid of head to head comparisons instead of stupid crap today.

Sweet lookin, greatly designed trucks that GM ever made. The trouble with them is that they were so rust prone, especially around the rocker panels. I don't know if it's because of the metal or the triangular design that caught water and debris.

Your full of it - the Ford twin I bream was a great system - the only downside is tire wear if your using after market size tires - the king pin can be fixed by someone who actually knows what to do...
I would take both - but I love the Ford...
I personally paid for a old 58 shortside - 292 V8 with AM radio out of a farmer's field that sat their for close to 20 years...
It had set so long that the frame of that truck was almost on the ground - drained the old gas, turned motor over by hand, put a battery in it, fired it up - with the help of a 4wheeler pulled it out of the hole it had made from setting all those years and drove it home!
That old truck was a daily driver until I had given it one burn out two many - had a man ( Captain of a ship ) offer me $8,000 for it as is - I paid $300...
The paint was not great, but it had a very straight body and was a step side with a wooden bed - the only negative of the truck was the wooden bed was in very bad condition and the back glass had a BB hole.
The trucks of the mid 50's to the early 70's make my day - each has it's good and all have many who would love one today.
      My true love is a 40, 56 and 69- 72 Ford
The 67 to the end of that model Chev was ok
The 70 Dodge had it's good sides...
Hell even the International had it's greatness - a old Willy's would be a dream.
