Capilano peak rises in behind Furry Creek to the north of the Howe Sound Crest. It is reached via old logging roads and the Beth Lake trail, and then continuing on up into the sub alpine where views of the South Coast of BC await, all the way from Vancouver to Squamish. An owl greeted me during my travel in both directions which is cool, and Nina and I enjoyed swimming in a lake near the top. Thanks for watching!

Whoa, 1:32 is spectacular. Those colors.
Thanks Keith!
Nice lake Luke ! I am sure it was refreshing.
Love that spot. We went up there about thirty years ago by mountain-biking the old logging road from Furry Creek to the upper trailhead, then hiking in from that point. It was a grunt up on the bikes, but awesome coming home!
Awesome ! 👍🌲🤙
I've spent time all across Canada and the sheer density of trails out there is unbeatable, not to mention the quality of the trails! It's such a special place out of anywhere in the world it's the place I will always miss the most when I'm away.
Absolutely, the mountains will be waiting for you when you come back!
Beautiful video Luke and Nina.!:)
Ya dude, love watching your adventures.
Thanks dawg!
that looks like a solid hike!
Just beautiful ❤
Man crushing it with the videos as always!
Thanks Kristopher!
I was stung twice by wasps on the way down on this one.
the wasps are terrible right now
@@IdRatherBeHiking It's a bumper year for them yellow jacketed devils!🥴
Sweet video!
Thanks Bradley!
Another great spot to hike😍
I don't know that I'd be swimming in that water. I think you're overselling it, it was probably freezing 🥶😁
It's always awesome to see an owl. It's amazing that when they fly it is without a sound.
Thanks for another good one Luke😀
Haha, it was cold, but what do you expect at that elevation at this time of year! Thanks!
Cool mr. Man Dog and Mountain the best.
Have you been up Mamquam Mountain? I was talking to someone years ago that said they were building trails out that way, but I never heard anything else of it.
It was on my to-do- list this year but the timing didn't work out for it, unfortunately. It will have to happen next spring
@@lifeofluke It's a good problem when there's more ideas than opportunities to do those ideas. It can be frustrating sometimes though!
Have you done Sunshine Coast….?
Specifically

Back to hiking solo?
Occasionally I still do some solo stuff with Nina.
