When I 1st started to watch Daniel Madison I thought he was just the posh spice of magic and full of himself now after watching many of he’s videos and taking a look at he’s work I now know he’s the real fucking deal and the true king of Sleight. My hat is off to you sir

I only do it to keep a top stock in certain routines. Only overhand. For full stack decks I only throw off three times, outjogging the middle packet, then stripping and moving it to the bottom or top, effectively turning it into a straight cut. I use a short card and other means of getting back into position. Other than that I use a false shuffle in Triumph but I do it so slow it's really part of the exhibition.

I've never thought of only just using false shuffles but it's something that i'm going to work on doing, it just makes sense, thanks for the pointer! you talk about a soap magician, i think you've phrased it. I've talked about that idea with my friends before, that is exactly the type of dexterity i want to learn. Being a magician fooler or just someone who doesn't look like they've held cards before is very slick as far as a concept goes. i can't wait to hear your thoughts on that kind of magician. i love these kinds of theory videos, thanks for taking the time!

After ExM, i spent all my time doing only false shuffles. It helped me feel comfortable with doing it in front of people by never doing a true shuffle. I use the vice shuffle constantly and try to practice as many in the hands false shuffles as possible since i usually do walk around and don't have a surface to work with. Side note, did you get my emails about my Goods Bag?

In your anger and frustration I saw a glimmer that caught my eye. It took me by the collar and pulled me closer until all I could see was a blinding revelation.
I am of course referring to the idea of not creating extra work and distinction by employing different shuffling techniques.
    Nice one Madison. x

I start to practice sleights recently ,and find my self last month 90 procent of the free time I spend watching your videos. My techniques are still on beginner level, but art of sleight is become something like obsession .Not to become a magician but technique and philosophy about deception is something that attracted me so bad.. I know that is privilege when have chance to learn from true master, better listen and use what He teach you.Now I start to do only falce shuffling evan to keep my deck in new deck order all the time... Stuff that people can learn here is priceless and it be a stupidity not to use philosophy and techniques on a right way from the start. #MadFan

Is a stack shuffle to control the outcome of a fair deal a real shuffle or false? Say you have stacked the deck into a system have done 7 pharos cased your deck. take it out do a true pharo and ur stack is in play say your playing cards intending to cheat u get handed a fresh deck and false it pass it back game over... just thoughts

Can any serious card guy/gal answer this...with mechanic's grip do you HAVE to hold a deck in your left hand and use your right hand to deal? Everywhere I read/watch it's always instructed to hold a deck in your left hand, but I am much more comfortable/dexterous with my right hand and I assume most sleights/business is done with the decked hand (in most cases)...Thanks!

Ok, I'm one minute in. Like button. I don't always hit the like button on a DM video, I wait until I heard something that I felt was profound. I'll rewatch videos for the sake of that.
Being said, as much as I love the visuals of DM, I try to not let that have any affect on my click. However, after seeing that first false shuffle (which uses the same shuffle I learned from.. was it "Dangerous"? Yeah, learned Angle-Z there too...) I couldn't resist. Just seeing that, I learned something profound, something I can use right away.
Btw, even though all of my decks are thoroughly shuffled, I would rather that they not be.

I comprehend your false shuffle theory untouched but touched. But as I carried this carrion with me. Made a consideration. All on board but I also have another speculation. That cards cannot be cut but only be broken into packets. So if instead of cutting cards what's happening is they are being broken into packets and what is happening to the packet of they are not being shuffled. I considered that packets can be shuffled but if your theory is correct that cards cannot be shuffled and what I'm saying is cards can also not be cut. So what happens to packets of cards. But why shuffle cards. Cards are only shuffled to mix the order up to play a card game. But let's face it cards do not play cards games the cards just don't do that so no need to shuffle or mix up cards. Which they are not kismetted to do. But what are packets being done to. Perhaps packet displacement.
