Nick Pileggi just did a video on "plants I'm currently killing"... I'd love to see you do a similar video! (It will make me feel better since I just killed a pothos, of all plants lol)
Totally agree would love to see that. I had a few plants that didn’t make it through the winter. Although, having said that I don’t mind too much. it’s a good clue the plant just doesn’t do well in my environment. So time to shop for a few more!
Plant became a addiction for me. I decide take some toxic people out my life and I end up feeling very lonely. So I became distracted my mind with plants. Best things I did.
I've been hearing around from other youtubers that have plant stores that nurseries are working on growing a ton of thais which will bring the price down a lot. So hopefully soon because I really want one but I won't spend that much on a plant that I'm not familiar with
Love that closing shot, had me laughing out loud, he's a doll. My favorites this week are.... 1. Fiddle leaf fig (new leaves! 🤗 2. Staghorn fern 3. Neon pothos 4. Curly spider plant 5. Ruby cascade 6. Variegated hoya carnosa 7. Rubber tree 8. Hoya rope plant 9. Sansevieria cylindrica 10. Silver squill Thanks for keeping your videos coming, gotta be tough with a new home, and baby. (Although he seems very content and well behaved) They are appreciated.😊
☀️I’m new to the plant community and I love Binge watching all of your videos! LOL💛 You are amazing and I even started a IG account for my plants & garden because of you & the amazing plant community 🤗 if you want to take a look it’s marys.botanical.journey 🐝 Please keep posting and being amazing 🤗 Congratulations on mommy life! I also have a Son ☀️
Boy mom here too! 💙💙 We just filmed a repotting video (uploading this weekend) and my little helpers were *quite the little helpers* in it, if you know what I mean 😁 Come sub and watch! 💚
I love the way you sing the last words of your sentences at the end. You have a lovely voice. What a nice way to accentuate a point! Thank you for sharing.
I relate to enjoying watching new leaves and their variegations! I have a philodendron pink princess I bought probably a year ago and at the time it had a little bit of pink variegation but it wasn't putting out any variegated growth until we moved and then the last leaf that came out had a tiny spot of pink and now there's a new one coming with way more and I'm so excited! Also you've definitely got stuff going on and are 100% valid in feeling overwhelmed. Babies might not do that much but they're hard work and you're growing into a new mum which is also hard work
When my plants that where not growing start growing or start blooming all of a sudden I’m in love so I feel ya!!!!! It makes me want to cry 😭 but tears of joy!!
My top 10 would have to be 1:pelliona pulchra 2: watermelon peperomia 3: monstera deliciosa thai constellation 4: iron cross begonia 5: alocasia silver dragon 6: alocasia cuprea 7: philodendron birkin 8: string of turtles (peperomia prostrata) 9: kalanchoe tomentosa 10: hoya indian rope variegated (not in any order just my favourites of mine at the moment 😅😆🤣🌱🌿)
I don’t have enough plants for a top ten (but hopefully will someday!) but I’ve been loving watching my spider plant babies grow! It’s so rewarding with how quickly they get new growth!
I love watching your videos! I’ve been a plant lover for years now but I found you here a few weeks ago and you sparked my love for them even more! I’ve already gotten 9 new plants over the last few weeks and started up an Instagram account for all my plants. You inspire me so much please never stop doing you!!!
Re: your shepherdii....I have a krimson princess that has been similarly struggling over the winter. I saved it from root rot, re-rooted it, it was alive but doing NOTHING. Now that it's spring/summer, more light, more warmth, it is shooting out new growth like crazy. New leaves from end points but also new shoots from other areas too, including several points along stems where other leaves already are. So excited!! It might just be the changing season that is allowing your shepherdii to wake up!
I just spent $250 on plants this week and I have a feeling a bunch of them are going to be in my top 10. I just bought a philo silver sword and CANNOT WAIT to see it in person 😭Maybe I'll start posting more plant videos and do a haul or something. I get so much joy from watching your plant videos!
I don’t have that many plants but my current favorite is a “little fiddle” that was a gift from my mom. 💓 also loving one of my peace lilies in particular that is just thriving, African violet and my cute little baby scindapsus pictus.
Beautiful 10!! Also I go crazy for the colors of the succulent blooms. When they pop open I take a million pictures unfortunately no camera captures the neon vibrancy of the blooms! They are amazing
Oh my gosh your dog was groaning in the background. I thought someone was breaking in my house, I have my earbuds on so I thought the door was opening up 😂😭😭💀 this video is awesome made my day.
I am glad you put a tiny plant in your favorites. As much as I love all my big plants, my current favorites are my two inch pot kids that are rescues or propogations. I have a peperomia prostrata that was a tiny cutting, various little varigated jade, echeveria, watermelon peperomia that I just propagated, and even a tiny monstera deliciosa that was a tiny leaf that rooted in water.
Love this video! My top faves that I have in common with you are the scindapsus, micans, and hoya pubicalyx. I get JUST as excited to see new leaves... you aren’t the only one! Thank you for continuing to upload content during this crazy time. You are one of my top favorite plant channels and I’ve learned so much from you ✌️🌿😎
Nice vid! The growth habit of alocasia is that they tend to have 3 -5 leaves max. Don’t stress if the oldest leave is starting to droop, it’s what they are meant to do 😁
@@GrantGreetings I guess it’s for plants that need higher humidity, but it’s usually done with epiphytic plants, idk, my best guess is for retaining humidity
Wow, first three are on my wish list, the syngonium is one I have never seen. Love your Philodendron Micans, I just bought a tiny one from your Mom's website and I love it so much! I have a Monstera Adansonii coming this next week. I love so many of my plants and my favorites change daily, lol! Thanks so much Harli, so good to see you, your little boy just gets more and more adorable each time I see him, take care and I will see you soon, XOXO, bye for now.
Another great video --- Loved seeing all your houseplants! I added a few more to the "Shopping List" for new houseplants. The last one you showed has such personality, love it !!
So cute! I'd say my top ten from my collection, in no particular order and subject to change lol 1. Rhaphidaphora Tetrasperma 2. Neon pothos 3. Pothos NJoy 4. Lemon Lime Maranta 5. Watermelon Peperomia 6. Monstera Adansonii (narrow form - I am on the hunt for round!) 7. Scindapsus Pictus Exotica 8. Sansevieria Moonshine 9. Pilea Cadierei 10. Hoya Carnosa Compacta Oh that was harder than I expected 😂
Thank you so much for sharing these videos. I am new to the plant community and still learning how to trust myself and listen to my plants :) Just used your hydrogen peroxide treatment this morning on some of my plants that were angry at my overwatering.
Right now my favorites are my syngoniums and rubber plant. But I really love watching my pothos and Monstera grow. I'm excited to get my cactus and succulents outside, because they are fun to watch grow outside.
I'll do you one better and watch all the way through TWICE because my toddler yelled at me so much during the first watch through that I had to watch again! 🤣🤣😥😭😭
@@thisiskayleemarie9042 honestly I got UA-cam red back in 2016 so I haven't watched an ad in almost 4 years. 🤣 BUT because I ended up dealing with toddler stuff again I would've watched through without skipping ads twice. I never skip through her sponsorship spots though, that's legit.
Cute video! That syngonium is GORGEOUS! My current favorites in my collection are andonsonii, Hoya compacta, ruby rubber tree, Hoya krimson princess, and begonia maculata
I have an obsession with vining plants. I’m finding that right now, I’m LOVING my philodendron and pothos because they’re getting super bushy and beautiful. I also have a pepperomia obtusifolia that seems to be growing right before my eyes. It’s just fun to watch and it’s a plant my 3 year old picked out last year so he gets excited about it too. 💚💚
The Alocasia is nice! My favorite plants at home right now: Rubber plants (burgundy and variegated) Hoya plants (regular and variegated) English Ivy Peace Lily String of Pearls Christmas Cactus (white, pink, red and coral) Nephrolepsis Crinkle Fern Brazilian red star Crassula Succulent Flapjack Succulent
K is the cutest!! I'm 43 and am past baby mode but that kid... He is giving me baby fever so bad 😭😭😭😂😂😂 As for plants, my small Fatsia japonica is growing like crazy and I adore him.
My list of the ones I own I love 1.chain of hearts 2. Sedeveria Pink granite ( succulent) 3.english ivy 4. Jaded and pearl Pothos 5. Idk what type but your basic white girl cactus 6. Red blooming Kalanchoe 7. Donkeys tail That’s it for favorites I have more but like these are my faves rn
The way you feel about you Hoya Shepardii is how I'm currently feeling about my Tineke. When I first got it a year ago, it dropped leaves daily and almost died.. I kinda gave up on it and left it in my father's care, and it seems he figured out how to take care of it, because now it has put out two new leaves in a month!
My satin pothos is my favorite right now. The silver markings contrasts the dark green leaves so beautifully. I was disappointed when I repotted it for the first time and realized it was from cuttings.🙄 But she’s still beautiful and still my current favorite.
I feel you! My silver satin barely grew for the first year and I was so sad. But this spring it really ramped up! Come check out my latest houseplant tour to see its growth 💚💚💚
Nichole Kam I’m sorry to hear that. 😕 Mine seems to be doing good with daily bright indirect light and I let her dry out a bit before each new watering. Don’t give up. I hope your’s pulls through.
I miss your videos, thank god you posted one👏🏼, your baby is adorable 😍When you get a chance if you have any knowledge of marble queen pothos and corn plants can you post a video of how often to water it, and the lighting requirements, Thank you Harli.
My top 10 right now are: 1) dioscorea elephantipes (just got it and I'm very excited to see it grow!) 2) cissus discolor (growing like crazy lately) 3) oxalis iron cross 4) variegated African violet (flowering!) 5) goldfish plant 6) variegated lipstick plant 7) hoya australis lisa 8) anthurium clarenurvium 9) maranta silver band 10) hoya krimson princess
Omg that shweet wittle chubby human specimen at the end stole the whole show 🥰🥰🥰 your plants age stunning too but come on how can I focus after that precious boy l!! 💙💙💙
I tried changing which side of the bed I slept on - but I didn't wake up to my wall of plants & I couldn't do it. Nothing replaces those first moments of joy when waking to plant babies!
Scindapsus pictus exotica is one I'm seeing on lots of peoples favorite lists and I saw one on FB marketplace and snagged it! Along with it, the girl I got it from gave me a free itty bitty pilea peperomioides, which I did not have yet and I've loved watching it grow! Besides those 2, I'm crushing on my syngonium, diffenbachia, split leaf philodendron, peperomia frost and a picture perfect haworthia I picked up recently.
I really love my philodendron right now, it's putting out leaves from so many different points and its finally getting so long and full 😁 i love growing season💓
I mean I love ALL my plants, but out of the almost 200, Alocasia frydek will forever be the love of my life❤️ loved the video Harli, keep up the good work🤩
As far as hoya go I'm kind of waiting to see if any of mine bloom before I look for anymore, but I love them anyway! Right now I'm maybe proudest of my kurtsii or whatever it is that almost died but I nursed along the one last leaf and now it has roots and new growth! Cutie.
my rehab scindapsus exotica is currently my favorite! it finally has new growth and I'm just so happy. I'm also really enjoying my blooming maranta and my simple but sweet heart leaf philodendron!
My faves are monstera deliciosa, musa dwarf cavendish, calathea makoyana, orchids, rhaphidophora tetrasperma, coleus sunset boulevard, pepperonis hope, and a couple of my echeveria succulents and a red edged mini jade
Monstera deliciosa and my white butterfly syngonium Arrowhead are definitely the favourites in my collection of around forty as well alocasia AKA kris Plant is pretty amazing to look at but aswell, hands down a monstera deliciosa and of course I want a variegated the way they grow and watching a fenestration appear with new leaves is just a wonderful thing to watch
One recommendation for A. Frydek, put sphagnum moss on top of the soil to help keep the humidity and water it when the sphagnum is dry. Mine is growing very big leaves and it put up a pup 😍
Thats exactly what happened with my hoya super eskimo. Took me months to find one, it was expensive and when I got it, it didnt do anything for months and it was like on the verge of death. I dont know what the heck happened because all my other hoyas are doing great, but it finallllly started perking up and getting new growth. I love it
Thank you Harli for another informative and entertaining video!! Your Variegated Monstera is memorable as well as the Scindapsus!! I just narrowly missed drowning mine!!
Hard to resist a plant when it's putting out new growth and some of those hoyas take fo-evah to do so. But when you start to see the tiny new leaves coming then there is just huge sense of "all is right in this world". I got my scindapsus pictus exotica about a month ago and that plant is gorgeous. I honestly don't know how I have lived my life thus far without one. I love it so. I am actually planning to move it so I can have a better view of it throughout the day. It's spectacular!
Omg that monstera flex in the background OK GIRL WE SEE YOU
My EXACT thoughts lol

That monsters is GORGEOUS. I’ve been on the hunt for one for some time now. Taking my time to find the perfect one.
Love love love seeing that beautiful baby. How cute.
Whoooo would ever thumbs down this video 🤣🤣 Weirdos this video was so great. You’ve never put out a bad video I just love ya!
Ooooh that variegated monstera is looking so healthy 😍😍
Scindapsus pictus exotica is one I'm seeing on lots of peoples favorite lists and I saw one on FB marketplace and snagged it! Along with it, the girl I got it from gave me a free itty bitty pilea peperomioides, which I did not have yet and I've loved watching it grow! Besides those 2, I'm crushing on my syngonium, diffenbachia, split leaf philodendron, peperomia frost and a picture perfect haworthia I picked up recently.
Love your plants, and your son is a "cutie", his getting so big😊😊. Take care and stay safe and HEALTHY
Cutie.
Omg I would love a video about how you care for rare plants 🌱
my rehab scindapsus exotica is currently my favorite! it finally has new growth and I'm just so happy.
