Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.
Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

I loved how the scene is framed and how the reveal happens is great. Maria and the audience doesn't know right away but Walt was there the whole time.
The cinematic direction was so good! Breaking Bad is truly one of the shows of all time
@@breakingbadBravo Vince!

how tf did he avoid all those cops
Yeah I don't get how he just "Waltzed" 😆 in and out if they were already onto him and where he'd likely go.
1:15 thanks Marie, now I'm just imagining Walt uploading some 100,000 word essay to 4chan
Crazy how that word carries so much more weight now
"This is why I blame the government for that plane collision".
Walter appearing suddenly like a ghost for his last goodbye was just beautiful
"As it turned out, Walter was indeed a criminal mastermind "

Walt isn’t just some criminal mastermind…. he is *THE* criminal mastermind!
yeah but not the cancer mastermind. lol
@@farknado2930lame
Disagree…GUSTAVO FRING was THE criminal mastermind. Unlike Walt, he was able to keep his mind clear of ego and pride in order to run his empire.
@@archivaldorkadoofus775Gus got himself killed due to his ego. He could’ve easily have allowed his henchman to kill Hector, but he decided to do it himself because he couldn’t let go of his hatred and ego. Walt and Gus were perfect rivals for each other. Both were intelligent, but hella unprepared for one another.
@@burstingturtle True.
The thing about Walter's opponents is that they're always underestimating him.
Walt’s biggest strength was being able to act like a loony tunes character 99% of the time to cover up the 1% of times he actually has a genius plan
@@hansofaxalia sauls entire strategy too is acting like an unhinged psycho so everytime people describe his plans they sound like unhinged pscyhos

😂😂😂
Hate to burst Marie’s bubble… but he kinda is a mastermind 😅
That's what he thought and lost everyone precious to him
@@SurajYadav-rr1ssHe lost everyone because of the criminal part, not mastermind part.
@@abigbutterstick1780if he was a mastermind he would not have been caught.

This show is still in a league of its own
At least Marie still cares for Skyler enough to warn her about Walt
And styler still cared for Walt enough to have him around in secret
It almost like Marie is the one who’s constantly trying to reach out. If that’s the case, it’s sad how much Skylar has shut down from everyone.
The BB/BCS writing was on relationships was excellent and nuanced. Legitimate beefs abound and feelings are hurt but there's still genuine bonds that still exist. Gilligan and company would continue to explore this further with Jimmy and Chuck in Better Call Saul.
This is the exact moment when Mareeh warned Skyluh for the last time
Wow you're interpretation of the spelling of the characters names is special lol smh
Skyluh 😂😂😂😂
my favorite moment was when mareeh warned skyluh for the last time
@@danielallen111 your puntastic. You're spelling isn't bad either.
She still hates her sister but cares for her at same time
Now this is the way to play with Subtext while doing dialogue. I just wished that more shows will take note.
Well, there’s a reason why BB was probably on of the top ten TV series of all time

The exact moment that Walter was breaking in the house bad
But he did it good.

Well yeah. If you are living in a cabin away from civilization for several months you are going to look like the Unabomber.
This is the moment that Walter was standing slightly out of view behind a supporting column in the kitchen.
At this point i could rewatch the whole show again by how much time i spend watching these clips.
Even now Skylar is harboring Walter.
Tf does that even mean
@@Bap-lt4ms Watch the show

@Bap-lt4ms It means Walter is right in front of her, but the camera shots don't show it yet.
@@greybeaver8300 Ok
I can’t imagine how his teenage son is feeling through this I mean I think when he gets the money changing their names, and even leaving the country isn’t the worst idea i’m curious if there’s a support group for family members of monsters
Scenes like this really highlight how much Marie cared about Skylar and the family, but also how little she knew about Walt and their dynamics.
Never noticed they just call Walt Jr Flynn now.
Wonder if he actually ended up changing his name.
Breakfast
Even more saddening.
He was an entitled little bitch. I hated him more than Skylar. I never understood the Skylar hate. Walt Jr was the wooooorrrrsssssstttt
He probably did, even when Walt calls him at the school, it's a call for Flynn.
Walt Jr. is dead. All that’s left is Flynn. Vrabo Bince!
The calls that he is blowing up City Hall, made himself 100% apparent to the neighbor at the old house and the fake manifesto where he wants to be on the news is perfect because it keeps the police concentrated in the immediate Albuquerque area while Walt will actually no longer be anywhere around town as soon as he leaves Skyler’s apartment. I can only imagine its Skinny Pete and Badger (“2 or 3 different voices”) setting it all up 😂
Damm I love this show so much
Marie doesn't have any purple in their house anymore. That's really sad
Why did walt try to blow up the city hall? Is he a clash player?
you gotta secure the 1 star at least
So nice of Mareep to call Skyler to warn her for the man who is already next to her in the room.
so how DID Walt get in the house without the cops seeing him? I get he's gotten pretty good at this kind of thing by this point but still, that's no easy feat. Would have been interesting to see how he did it
Teleportation.
He wasnt in the house , he IS the house
because he looks like a completly diffrent man and his extremly smart
Heisenberg's uncertainty powers
@@legion5938 he's already shown his new face to the neighbor at this point, so the police have an up-to-date description
I wonder how Walt’s family turned out after his death
I think Vince Gilligan said in an interview that Flynn receives "Gretchen's donation" once he turns 18.
@@pranavps851if I was him I would probably just do a correspondence or online school And just stay away from the other classmates
I heard Flynn soon became addicted to video games. He then entered a particularly advanced one where he helped a mysterious hero defeat an evil central computer with some glowing frisbees.
@@davec3651smooth tron reference there
@@pranavps851as they should. Gray matter was Walt's work
“He’s here he’s there, he’s going to blow up city hall.. apparently he has this manifesto and wants to be in the 6 o clock news” 🤣
Damn, the clip ended before the Walt reveal. Thats the part im trying to find
In hindsight the relationship writing on BB/BCS was excellent and nuanced. Lots of layers and grey area. Legitimate beefs abound and feelings are hurt but still bonds continue to exist. Gilligan and company would really keep this going with the Jimmy and Chuck brothers in Better Call Saul. Which also had a very sad ending.
I wonder if Walt paid Badger and Skinny Pete to buy a bunch of burner phones and make those calls to confuse the police.
I wonder how Walt convinced Skyler to let him stay inside
"i have dipping sticks"
@@orianultimer "Why didn't you say so Walt, Come in".
"I brought Pizza 😁"
She still loved him
And then Marie appeared for Saul’s trial
The fact that Marie says truce when she calls is so sad, the entire family is so completely broken by this point all because of Walt.
Walt is a true hero
I felt bad for Skylar and Marie at this point. Both are basically widows.
Between that and Lalo going to Jimmy’s, that’s a lot of those “on the million to one chances” events happening in the show.
Million is not what it used to be…
Yeah Schuyler can you dig me out I’ve tried my best but you can only get so far with fingernails
its terrible that they all were afraid for their lives what he put people though is horrible. he became a monster and he had no redeeming qualities left.
To be fair, he did what he could to at least try and make things right. He gave Skylar the coordinates so she could make a deal with the feds, he found a way to get money to his family, he killed anybody that might have a motive coming after Skylar or Marie and saved Jesse.
He put everyone in that spot but he did try to redeem himself in some capacity even if he was too far gone
What does Marie say? He looks exactly like the what? At 1:06
