Unfortunately, the big developers have purchased old homes, which created the history of the neighborhood, and put up compounds that are ugly, block the sun from the original homes there, and absolutely disgusting. Just like everywhere else in this country, you have people who do not understand history or want it.

The Irish, Italiano, Chicano/Latino communities and roots have been decimated by the developers of “the happy hour of Denver”. History and culture, diversity and community have been erased by promoter$ and investors. It is so very curious that in this video, neither of you mentioned the history and roots of the Upper and Lower Highlands. “Highlands is perfect for dogs.” Seriously? Tear down the houses! Homogenize the neighborhoods!
This is the attitude that is making Denver increasingly unavailable and unwelcoming except for “young professionals”. Where do all of us who used to cherish and relish living in Denver, where do we now find affordable housing, history, and culture?
