Woohoo More civ 5 :D Love this Series, but i gotta ask why there weren't any EU4 episodes lately? i really love watching marbozir rule over Africa and Siberia xD
Well. Here's a short (ish...) version. I don't really talk about it very often, because I don't want to make it sound like I'm complaining about anything - I'm not, just to be clear (I'm drawing conclusions instead - some of the things I see behind the scenes in UA-cam Analytics paint a very clear picture, such as average percentage watched numbers on various series). I'm obviously incredibly grateful that people actually want to watch me. You guys (anyone reading this) are the reason why I can do this full time. Anyway, other than Easter period sort of getting in the way last few days, and UA-cam having multiple issues since Friday or so (such as videos not processing properly), I'm trying to give higher priority to content a reasonable percentage of my regular viewers actually want to watch (while also keeping some variety, so as a general rule, I try to do new things reasonably often). The channel has been stagnating a bit the past few months (since around November last year) and I've been trying all kinds of solutions to change that ever since. I do think one of the reasons is that I focused too much on series the majority of my regular viewers simply weren't very interested in. Using part 15 of EU4 as an example, it was published last thursday (2nd April) and has 1.3k views and 57 likes after 4 and a half days. That's just incredibly low compared to pretty much anything else I do. Parts 22-24 of TW Attila are pretty much the same (1.3k - 1.7k after almost a week). I want the stuff I upload to be interesting and I want my viewers to find it interesting - that's one of the biggest reasons why I do this and why I'm actually able to do it in the first place (unless I want to go back to just running the channel casually with 4 uploads a week instead of 4 uploads a day, but I certainly don't). Another important part is that how interesting the stuff I publish is for my regular viewers, directly translates to visibility of my content on UA-cam as a whole, which in turn affects channel growth (which has been rather low since November last year, considering my size - so I'm trying to draw conclusions from that). Having said all that, I can afford to run SOME series like that (and I will), it just can't be the majority.
Marbozir Wow. Im really grateful for the reply. It's always great to hear replies directly from youtubers. I fully understand your view on the matter, and your happiness and wealth (and health :)) is most important, and if there's low demand for 1 series, i understand why you it will be low priority. it's really strange for me why not many people who watch your channel don't watch Europa Universalis 4, but to each and what ever floats their boat. For me, from your content, I only like EU4 and CIV 5, as i am not into TW or PoE, so i'm not watching them. I am happy with the Civilization 5 lets play, and really love your content. As much as I love watching you play EU4, if not many other people do, than I fully understand why there will be less of it. Keep it up, and Have a good day.
Marbozir That 'unsubscribe' glitch probably has something to do with lower numbers, until I clicked on the channel to figure out why I wasn't getting any upload alerts from you I thought you weren't playing as much, at least I know it wasn't just me, im in Canada and my brother is in Dubai and we both got unsubscribed from your channel, I heard some other folks talk about it here as well. When you don't see the uploads on youtubes front page its easy to get distracted and forget to check in.. Anyway, think about starting that casual civ 5 Polish channel that someone mentioned.. Cheers.
Marbozir idk if saying this helps much, but I definitely started watching you because of your amazing skills in Civ 5. I definitely enjoy it the most (but that's probably because Civ 5 is one of the games I play the most :p ) But I also enjoy almost all your other series too. It's nice seeing games I had no idea about (For example Total War, Homeworld Remastered and Pillars of Eternity), I love both series and it's something I probably wouldn't have known about if not for you. So I do think you should keep doing what you do. :D I'm not sure, but I think something that may help is if you make a poll for us to pick some stuff (like what civ you play, or even a few options for what new game series you start). I think that having a bit of an interactive might help. But anyway, I'll still be here watching regardless!
Marbozir I do think it's no longer worth the effort to do much PDS game. The market for the content is already saturated that even some veteran Paradox gamers (e.g. Quill, Shen, and many) are suffering from declining views. The only relatively untouched PDS title is HOI series but these games are extremely boring to watch. As a viewer I understand your "complaints", the market (viewers) prefers specialized channels but the content creators can only expand through variety, it's a dilemma that you could hopefully resolve.
I hear ya,,,] However, Marbozir was not in the position to build those.....sadly! With all the buffs you can get a LOT of movement points for ships. At least 10 and I 'think' even more so...Been a while since I played England. At least once he gets the Longbowmen he will have a Poor Mans's Artillery! LOL
marek brytan Indeed with Machu Pichu roads make sense but in this game it look's like a waste of hammers (the Wonder + the roads). Taking care of attila is more important.
Wait until you get ships of the line before you go on the offensive, a couple more workers could also be a good idea, you need a road to York because reasons...
YagabodooN No use of lonbowmen when playing as England is a big waste. Ships of the line are really efficient only when you change them into battelships. 4 workers for 4 cities is in off. But that's only my civ5 experiment.
YagabodooN if marbozir steal hull, he could you use it as a base to conquer attila's court, istanbul and sweden capital with longbowmen. But it's seems it's already to late for that. You were right Marbozir focus only on naval units.
Not just for Marb, but I have played a lot of deity games and think that i am pretty good, but whenever i play a deity game, ill only win maybe 5% of the time. are there any things that help get the extra edge? Usually my food and science are stronger than culture and tourism, but thats just my play style.
Thancks for the video Marbs, maybe you could focus building barracks and your army (to use longbowmen) instead of building wonders. Longbowmen could be outdated very fast. Also attila must stay at war with other AI's, maybe you could ask to shaka to go to war in exchange of a luxury (you treasure is very low). You seem to be undecided about your strategy in this game, i hope you will do better with england this time. It's deity, fix your strategy and go for it!
So, there are maybe 3-4 parts worth of gameplay in most Civ V series that you don't hate? So, about 15-20%. I would say that you still watching his civ series is quite the compliment then.
I thinck part 6 will start the wars. But don't be cruel, the preparation of the war can also be fun, when you plan a surprise attack. I thinck that the isolate start has slow down the begining of the game. I hope we will find more action in the next parts.
civbelgiumchocolate isolation has effects otherwise he have to deal with CoD's in too early, and this game has too much warmongerer's, still late wars will be nice
MEGA-SHAKA vs MEGA-ATTILA is my favorite godzilla movie
zefvonee Mega-Shaka vs Mega-Attila: Enough Said!
We need "I don't think so buddy" and "Down you go" T-shirts :/
england simulator 1444
Darius' facepalm is just the best reaction ever.

Will you go for exploration ?
Hastings has so little production it might worth it to send internal hammer route to start-up perhaps?
Shaka is going to be a force to be reckoned with.... (with Nukes Preferably! ;)
Cheers, Ivan :"D
Ivan Dogovich Heh. Turned out the nukes were reserved for *REDACTED DUE TO SPOILERS*. What an awesome Game!
This is going to be like that Morocco game!
"Mega-Shaka"
That sounds so funny that I want it to happen just to hear it more o.o
When I play as England, I always built the 'naval' Wonders like Great Lighthouse, Colossus etc, .. You know why... NAVAL SUPREMACY!!!!
I hear ya,,,]
However, Marbozir was not in the position to build those.....sadly!

At least once he gets the Longbowmen he will have a Poor Mans's Artillery! LOL
ROADSS!!!!! xD Good vid!
marek brytan sorry but roads on this type of map are not so great, harbors fast please! would be better in my opinion.
yes, but a road from london to whatever that city to the east of it is wouldn't hurt, especially with machu picchu!
marek brytan Indeed with Machu Pichu roads make sense but in this game it look's like a waste of hammers (the Wonder + the roads). Taking care of attila is more important.
yeah i think so too, the worker management isnt really on point, even in the next episode
But that's only my civ5 experiment.
just incase you forgot, he has no land connection to the other players
YagabodooN if marbozir steal hull, he could you use it as a base to conquer attila's court, istanbul and sweden capital with longbowmen. But it's seems it's already to late for that. You were right Marbozir focus only on naval units.

Mega Shaka + Mega Attila = dead Marbo.

Markets Marb, Markets.
wow i just realized your in your historical spot kinda lol
y build habmnging gardens in capitala onstead of york. it has poor food tile and great production
Oh, Attila... predictable indeed. At least Shaka is keeping things... _interesting_ on the main continent. :p
***** I hope attila will fight shaka or Marbozir will loose the game (AI's steamroll or carpet of the doom)
You have an extra trade route slot
Im not first am I?? either way great videos marbozir
Was trading two cows and a sheep for an unforested tundra deer and a fish really worth it?
or u could build it in nottingham as it has a poor start
Play China please. ขอบคุณ
i hate parts where nothing happens , still nice series
So, there are maybe 3-4 parts worth of gameplay in most Civ V series that you don't hate? So, about 15-20%. I would say that you still watching his civ series is quite the compliment then.

Paul Elderson yeah i really like his series, its the best imo
civbelgiumchocolate isolation has effects otherwise he have to deal with CoD's in too early, and this game has too much warmongerer's, still late wars will be nice
your economy is going down. need to get the the compass and harbors.
