If you're watching this video, I'm probably live on Twitch; come say hello: www.twitch.tv/slickumss Also, Do you enjoy watching streamers get destroyed? Well, we do some of that in THIS video so you should check it out 😎 ua-cam.com/video/V2cSTOPW0p4/v-deo.html
remember when a guy called nikita out and how to fix it. yeah they reamed his ass publicly. and banned him from the pre team or whatever... he had solid pointers how to better tarkov. even going as far as saying maybe add a pve. add better anticheat. but nikita banned him from twitter.
What solution man? Are you one of those whales that grind the game and get everything? You want the best loot and to have the power feeling? Man, there will be a big discrepancy.... Some guys are like WillerZ and Pestily, I m not those guys. But I want to enjoy the game too, I want Tarkov, and I cannot compete against teams or against individuals like those people. Normal people would Never EVER achieve Kappa, just no. WHAT do you want the devs to do EXACTLY? You suggest them to make the whale players feel strong and just obliterate the weaker people....
What they fucking need is to fix the cheater problem (but they're anticheat is useless) and make the audio good and consistent, BSG isn't even capable of making a polished audio system for Tarkov, it has so many bugs and inconsistencies, also the performance keeps sucking ass for what the game is offering visually, etc. and the netcode is still horrible. Let's be real here the game is broken almost everywhere and I don't think they are capable of fixing it, I've been waiting too many years already until I stopped caring about it and I don't even play Tarkov anymore I have 0 faith in this devs.
"Why is everyone leaving Tarkov?" - 8 year CBT - Netcode as terrible as it was 8 years ago - Spawns as bad as they have been for the past 8 years - Cheaters Yeah, the game is a rush unlike other, WHEN IT WORKS, but from my experience jumping on for 3-4 hours a day, it will be 50-50. Half of the time it will work, half of the time it won't and you'll get Tarkov'd.
@@Sak-zo1ui netcode is literally an issue my guy it has nothing to do with skill. When you're peeking a corner and retract to the wall but still get shot because on the opposing persons screen you are still visibly peeking, thats literally an ISSUE. tf you talking about??
@@Sak-zo1ui Oh fugg off already with your nonsensical attitude towards what effectively is a game. There is no "getting better", you either play hardcore with 100% concentration & forethought (OF ALL WHICH IS NOT FUN)- or die. It's not "fun". Not anymore it is. Maybe when it was new. But it's always the same general play style each raid. Each expected outcome is PREDICTABLE now. That's why the game sucks. Because it's ran it's course & replayability implies that the game has DYNAMICS. There ARE NO dynamics, the spawns are static, the cheaters are constant, & every update has been a addiction fix for the stupefied masses. Always keeping people locked in, but never giving them what they want aside from "the next fix". People are tired of that gambit, BSG knows what they are doing. Hence why today you woke up & chose to type your message.
@@yonkorob Them fanbois man. I've been playing since the CBT started. I remember I was at that stage for a good 2 years. Now I'm way over it and see things for what they are. Once they got a few thousand hours in the game they're gonna notice it too.
@@yonkorob i still have hope that they will fix the netcode issues in the 1.0! i used to play R6S and left the game because of the same issue and R6S was considered a finished game way earlier than Tarkov and Goobisoft still didn't fix those issues, Tarkov still has a chance in my view at least. but let's see how the Future of Tarkov plays out, i still play it because of it's Gunplay and its absolute Bonkers Mechanics with the Guns!
Unfortunantly i do give a shit about the cheater infested pvp mode and pve has drained a big chunk of the legit players and normally would be forced into the hell scape with me. Now its just me, the sweats and the cheaters. Its unplayable at least til next wipe.
Nobody cares about PvE full of losers who are enabling the dead lobbies. I had to grind to learn PvP y'all are just a bunch of wussies that want instant gratification
unfortunately pve doesnt even come close to pvp you can "see trough" your opponents moves they always react the same for certain situations in a 100 raids that doesn't last long since you do your quest pick up 1 item and the next makes you unable to move and loot is worthless so you just leave ofc i heard that pve economy is crazy now but when i played it was ass but the main point is that in 5hrs of raid time you can basically predict where to look for pmcs and where they will sit with 80% accuracy and if there's no scav spawns you cant find pmcs and you can just go afk on the middle of the map because you know nothings gonna come close for me pve isnt fun its just way more repetative than the acctual game because you fight the same situations over and over again
I have a job and a life unlike a lot of eft players. I miss when I could run an ak with ps, or an adar with m855 and drop geared players back in the original wipe that brought the new recoil and armor hotboxes where you could still hit thorax as long as you miss the plate. It didn't make the game less skillful, it made the game more strategic, and you had to use cover, your armor would still save your life as long as you didn't do stupid shit like running out in the open. Bsg got drowned by streamer tears and ruined the whole system. Haven't wanted to play since.
@@rlandjnes1337 so accurate. Inertia and weight system ruined the game and pve was supposed to be for the casuals but they still make pvp cater to casuals. Just make the game fun again.
Because BSG does not care, or respect ur time spent in the game, i spent this whole wipe to get to lightkeeper just so i can reach the last task before meeting him and finding out the zombie event bugged it. to this day, 1 month after its still not fixed, one task, yet they add more tasks for other events. wtf ?
Can’t forget about the wiggle video. I was playing like it was my full time job and then saw that video and have never played again. With a game that has such a brutal gameplay loop it just is not worth the time if there are cheaters in every raid 😢
absolutely right, been playing since jan 2018 myself, just me and one other friend going duo for thousands of hours... we knew there were cheaters ofcourse, then the wiggle video hit and just hammered it home... PVE came along and we have not looked back since. can enjoy the loop of the game without ever wondering if it was a cheater we died to and thats it, why bother with PVP.
Pve was a game mode I wanted since the start, if you can’t play a certain amount of hours a day or week you fall behind in PvP very quickly. You either run into people who are clearly better with the best stuff, people hiding in bushes killing you with no chance to react, or cheaters. You can’t beat the feeling on this game when you win against any of the above and pve will never replicate that but pve gives you a chance to play when you want and never fall behind, it gives casual players that are either experienced or beginner to enjoy the game with a lot less stress. I never played the PvP version to rush every gunshot, I played to stay alive and do quests and make money, that’s what was fun for me. I think a lot of people complaining about pve are just mad that they lost a lot of easy kills, not everyone plays the same way or for the same thing.
I love that you didn't mention Grey Zone Warfare in 0:10 (no offence). That game is more dead than Tarkov after selling 1.5 million copies with an average of 2K players for last month
Actually GZW released a new bigger patch together with its wipe, which made some players come back. the average is more close to 4k players last month. However its in its early alpha, so I would say its unfair to compare to tarkov which already have been playable for 8+ years. I played both games, I think both games are great.. but the Arena sync, and the infestation of cheaters in pvp mode made me quit tarkov (the pvp mode) and i must admit, even after playing PVE mode, it just doesnt feel like the same.
see what happened is 10000 account ban wave of cheaters then the next day the game goes on sale so the cheaters can buy a new account. they never fully address the cheaters in their game and its sad.
@@MrDudoslav If only they had won the war against cheaters instead of creating pocket dimensions to hide from them. Unfortunantely we cant have nice things.
No. Main reason people left the game is cheaters, bad support from BSG not fixing bugs, stupid (aimbot) ai, ignoring player opinions and overall stubborn and arrogant behaviour of the devs. Huge amount of people also moved to PVE becouse of obvious reasons.
None of that is the reason. Ignoring player opinions is literally the opposite of what they've been doing, the bad changes, like flea market restrictions, addition of inertia, recoil changes were all in response to player opinions. The playerbase asked for those.
too many cheaters. my SR has gone down 35% over the last 5 or 6 wipes. From a day 1 player, the level of cheating became so noticeable that the game was simply not fun at all.
exactly this. my friend had bought me this game late 2019, and we only knew how to play like chads. the inertia-weight system bugged us over not being able to play like we enjoyed, but it wasn't the killer. the real killer was the damn cheating. i could care less if bsg implemented a kernel AC if it meant i could play without having to second guess if that was just a cracked player, or if that was a cheater. haven't touched the game in a good while now, and i hate not having that adrenaline anymore in pvp, or the excitement of kappa. but i also love not being fucked over by things out of my control
PvE is a double edged sword. It means casuals can play the game and have a lot of fun exploring the PvE world. Unfortunantly it drained most the casuals out of PVP so now regular players who want to play normally are up against sweats and cheaters only and long queue times.
Hmm not so fun when you have to go up against someone with the same skill level. Interesting how that works. Maybe it will force them to get out of their cave and do something in the real world.
Same, watched him play before I had a PC. Game looked sick, get a PC and buy Tarkov within a week. Get my shit kicked in for a year and a half before I call it and uninstall.
I’ve asked a couple different people to try out Tarkov and both were like “isn’t that game full of cheaters?” . I think the cheating problem and the Wiggle that killed Tarkov play a big role in pushing away new players
It’s not the grind, it’s the unrewarding grind. Grind for money for marked rooms, etc. whatever. Just to go there and find dogshit. Finally grind for good ammo/plate barters, go fight bosses and kill them. Just to find zero loot on them that isn’t even worth carrying out because of inertia and weight changes. The game is becoming a slow pointless grind. That’s the problem.
Yeah the quests simply are just not fun. I often find myself looking at my list of available tasks, thinking to myself about how much all of them suck.
@@ScooterBean Yeah I agree, yeah surely, the more experienced you are, the more you hopefully know what you need at the beginning of the Wipe to process faster. But you get so quest locked after that it hurts and it's just a painfull grind. And the longer it takes, the more you are behind (Capturing outpost etc).
EFT is really just a big ball of duct tape at this point. By Nikita's own admission, EFT was supposed to be a niche game for a niche audience; a stepping stone for their other project (Russia 2028). They had no idea EFT would ever become this big. Nikita also once said (years ago, paraphrasing): "If EFT was a singleplayer game, it would've been completed already". They're also clinging to this old, messy code, and together, all of this suggests that none of this was planned ahead of time. So, what we're seeing here, is years worth of just winging it.
The reason people upset about unheard edition was because edge of darkness was supposed to be the best edition of the game and included all future DLC, and they didnt originally include pve or arena with it
yep, and Arena was promised since 2016 as included with EOD. They pissed people off with that, then did it again with PVE and pikachu shocked when they received backlash.
My interest has slowly dwindled because I've switched mainly over to PVE, which is still fun, but it doesn't scratch that same itch that PVP does, next wipe I definitely want to play PVP again, thankfully by now I won't have to wait long
you sound like youre in need of SAIN and SPT, the ai becomes insane to even watch let alone go up against, highly customizable too, never understood why people gave PVE a chance when the SPT has been doing it better for a long time now, and for free. soon this game will probably be abandoned, and after enough time the community will continue developing it. the WTT mod is already working on this, and from what ive read, may just be capable of adding new maps in the future as well. the amount of gear, bosses, and weapons planned alone are enough to be excited about. co op is possible too.
I think inertia is good, because it's also a "realistic" tactical shooter apart from being a looting game, being the one game that isn't a movement shooter is a breath of fresh air, sometimes it's not all about the loot, it's about the combat encounters and the fear of death being an actual factor in them, also people just like authentic military-themed games.
No problem with it either, cheaters are the issue along with Devs insulting players and shock horror lockdown ended lots of multiplayer games dropped population.
@@evulclown true, I don't think tarkov would've fell off if they just treated their costumers with respect, actually providing balanced gameplay, fair transaction and a healthy player environment.
I actually love the inertia system. It makes the choices you make REALLY matter when it comes to combat and adds in an extra and reward to staying in longer/getting out quick
But fighting other players has never been the main focus of the game. The main focus is supposed to be survival of each raid with your loot in order to Escape from Tarkov. PvP being the main focus is why people went to playing PvE or other games instead my dude lol. Yes the game has PvP but it's supposed to be circumstantial not the whole gameplay loop. Other than that was a good vid! On a side note, I'm kinda concerned for Landmark remembering how he used to look.
One problem that I think you didn’t touch on was, dynamic loot. Dynamic loot is good for 90% of loot. You shouldn’t be able to find iskras in the same place every raid, for example. But I think like you said, the chance of finding a ledx in black keycard should be like 50% because that would bring pvp back from the dead and make certain places worth going to
Two words FLEA MARKET lose the flea market, and the game would be fun again. Until then it's boring as shit and the same old same old, I understand fully kitted guns, getting shit for the hideout but just imagine having crappy guns and ammo the whole wipe? Going into raids just to find some bolts because you can't buy 120 for 12k a piece? Hovering around 1-3 mill because you aren't making absolute bank from selling shit on the flea. There's a reason people come in droves when the game wipes. Plus, what incentive would cheaters even have if there's no flea market? I'll die on the hill that the Flea Market is killing the game.
What killed the game over time was a big portion of players getting more and more fed up with the ever increasing amount of quest tasks, up to a point where players with jobs and an actual life where unable to even reach max level and a fully upgraded hideout before the next wipe. On top of it came the ever increasing number of hack users and AI on steroids.
Nope. Back in a day you didn't need to complete tasks at all, because everything was available on the flea. That's the issue. 12.12 was the worst patch in the game, because it turned Tarkov into a game that you simply can't play unless you play for 8 hours a day.
you can't say "it was popular then" it was 2020, pandemic. life is back to normal...that's when people started exploring twitch and people couldn't do muchn.
Your own data on the video I’ve just seen clearly shows the popularity of when it truly became more watched though. I won’t say you’re wrong it has declined however statistical information from twitch doesn’t prove people aren’t playing the game. In all it’s a good video, I just can’t agree with the twitch “decline” other games are the same destiny 2, he’ll even old school RuneScape yet they have player bases which you can see will rise and fall daily
@@adamducklol I don’t use the twitch decline as the sole basis of what I’m saying. I’m just pointing out that the game at one point saw an insane amount of growth in a time where it DIDNT wipe. All of the other “high” viewership times on twitch are around wipes. Late 2019/early 2020 was not a wipe and the game blew up. That’s really all I’m saying.
-No one wants to play late wipe, literally just nothing to do there aside from the boring events -The cheater stigma has basically tanked the games reputation (everyone was complaining about it, i.e GOAT's video) -No one wants to pay for a $250 game, let alone play a game that already costs enough which only tanks the devs and the games reputation more -The tasks fucking suck and are just a chore. -Horribly optimised, can't even get above 40 fps in the middle of Streets of Tarkov. (Like fuck me, when a games recommend RAM is 32gb you know its gonna lag to shit) -Everyone leaves and just waits till next wipe to play, waiting for the game to become fun again. -Those who really love PVP left and went to Arena -Those who really hate PVP (or just suck at the game, you know who you are.) left and went to play PVE -Everyone is playing other games waiting for wipe to come or have just left entirely due to said other game being way more fun and enjoyable than Tarkov. -Legit nothing else fun other than the game loop of: Go into Raid > Kill shit or Do shit for Quests > Go back to stash/If dead, go back to square one > Sell shit and Turn shit in and accept new quests. And do this again for the next 2 weeks until max traders or whenever the game gets stale and boring toward end or mid wipe.
I tried it out because a friend wanted to play with me and ran into very fishy guys regularly. I was hiding in a spot nobody could anticipate me to be and suddenly a guy runs directly towards me and instantly sprays me down with maybe giving me enough time to return 1 shot. And this was not like a once in a month or once in a week experience. It happened almost daily several times and that's why I quit. I would estimate that around 50% of the player base uses some kind of cheats since it's a lot of Russians and their gaming rig performance is usually not that good so they have little scruple to compensate that with some illegal tools. And when your game hits this point it means that it's over. This game will follow the path of PUBG and become an unplayable mess for new players in which they get in lobbies with far better smurfs and cheaters from the beginning and just quit after a few frustrating days. And since the developers only care about money at this point they will simply add more and more ingame transactions to at least keep the cash flow running.
it's not, we had it long time coming, "yeah lets do hard event in the middle of the week that no person with a job could finish". I swear it feels like they made this game for streamers only
I have an idea that might help the Tarkov player base. What if instead of wiping everyone’s progress every six months they made it so everyone under a certain level would have the choice to wipe and if they decided not to then all their items would still reset just like a normal wipe day but their progress in quests and leveling wouldn’t. (Maybe they’d have to put in some restrictions on the traders early wipe but in all honesty I think this could really work)
Be careful what you wish for(though imo they would never do this. Wipe. Is apart of PvP and will always be. No wipe wreaks havoc on flea as we see in PvE. It’s basically gambling. You never know what’s up or down. It’s kinda useless in a way, the only set in stone prices are the extremely rare items.
@@ScooterBeanwell my thought process was that your inventory and hideout would be reset but your trader level and progression in quests wouldn’t be. Of course BSG would have to put in some early wipe restrictions on the high level traders but I think it would give the people who don’t have thousands of hours of play time a chance to see late game stuff.
There is one thing most people tend to forget in this equation: You guys are burned out and that is okay. How long is Tarkov out to play? I've been playing since early Alpha, where there was only Factory to play on. That was 2016/17? After thousands of hours. Repeating wipe after wipe, you know... things get boring naturally. Constant issues in development, bad netcode, cheaters and everything on top. 3rd party markets for loot and flea market beeing one of the worst things that could be in this game, firing up that cheating issue. It's no wonder it feels like a chore to you now. And while I understand that the "realism" is a thing not everyone likes, people tend to forget that from Day 1, early stages of the game development it was always loudly communicated by BSG, that this is what they are aiming for. I understand that some people were not happy, that they could not hop out off windows with 120kgs on their backs, looting the hole map on their own. But the same people also never accept or recognize that the game NEVER was supposed to be like that. I, on the other hand, was super happy about the weight and inertia changes. It was exactly what I was looking for! Because there is enough games that are like Black Ops 6 where people run and gun, dolphin divin, 360-spinnin around. And I can enjoy those aswell, like Titanfall 2. But Tarkov was just meant to be something else from the beginning and I loved it. But yes, I am not playing any more myself. After 3000 hours, it's just enough. Time to move on or take a break.
Load times into raid are my reason for not wanting to play. I understand that 3-4 minutes in fast compared to others people's 10 or 15 minutes. It's just too long for me to wait.
A note on the hit count, check your accuracy vs ammo used. When a bullet hits multiple body parts it will count as multiple hits (i.e. you shoot someone in the arm and it passes through to the torso - that's 2 hits from 1 bullet). That being said, yeah arms reduce pen way too much since the end of last wipe.
You forgot to mention cheaters - which was one of the biggest reasons for competitive pvp players to leave, but great video IMO it was: Weight system, skills having reduced benefits (strength and endurance), dynamic loot (away from high pop areas), Massive map expansions on already good maps - customs and factory (which caused you to run into less players), Newer maps like lighthouse and streets being almost unplayable WO a super PC, Cheaters, Bugs that were never fixed (ex black room bug which still after 5+ years is there), Inertia (dont get me started), Rat meta taking over (because of the downsides of running around and the upsides of staying still), Constant wiping. Sometimes 6 months sometimes a year, Unreasonable level and quest expectations. For most players its impossible to get kappa in a wipe, Bad quests - some quests like test drive are just plain dumb make no sense, Flea market reductions - items and taxes on flee, FIR at the time was also huge and was so bad for the game - made pvp actually cost you money even if you won, Labs and Rouge changes (reducing the amount of xp you get, limiting buttons and spawns on labs making a more grindy game), Keycard changes and other keys - limited uses - getting a red card is whatever now and not as prestigious, Hide out nerfs Bad Weapon balancing - they have changed recoil and guns about 100 times by now. second labs wipe every gun was useable with some being better (hk, sa, val, mp7, m4, etc), Dumb additions like KS shotgun, impacts and grenade launches (they take no skill and have no counter) people were running only 1 impact or 1 gl as there kit thats how strong it was, Not being able to carry multiple bags or cases in raid (as you mentioned), Constant loot nerfs - every marked room or labs room has been nerfed into nothing making the "best spots" in the game no longer good and pointless, dysnc and server issues, Armor changes - I get plates and hitboxes but making it more simple would be way more fun, Reduction of gear selection - big one for me as i enjoy the freedom of buying whatever i want. Limiting certain high value ammos and helmets like altyn and ryse is just dumb, Rmting items and people not getting banned for it, Traders having less and less items each wipe, quest locking all the fun and good gear behind 100 quests that are dumb, Ai changes being unenjoyable. How they ramp the difficulty is by just boosting their hp and making them all have aimbot through bushes not very fun, Attachment changes, Stim and med changes, Grenade change, Weapon malfunctions like WTF? Every wipe the game gets less and less enjoyable due to added features meaning the devs are killing the game themselves. They add and change things in the game without testing it and forgetting the most important thing about video games and that is fun. The things they add or change are NOT fun and thats the problem. I probably missed a few reasons but just some pointers for a future video. I wouldnt say it was one thing but rather a combination of all of these things that made a lot of us quit and even made me quit the game after 5000+ hours
I didn’t forget to mention cheaters. It’s a given at this point and such a “beating a dead horse” topic and it was nice to just not talk about it for once.
Honestly I get why people say cheaters ruin it, but cheaters have always been in the game especially in its peak. Biggest thing that ruined it was nerfed loot and punishing players who actually moved and looted the map
EFT has been dying for about 4 years, each wipe, less and less people care about it, there are many reasons, hackers, lack of content. Primarily I think its down to the fact I myself, have done the quests. 20 times over, since closed alpha, like... I am done at this point, it's not new anymore. Also the movement changes a few years back made the game feel like chit unless you put heaps of hours in to grind strength xp. Average players movement would feel trash.
How dense can you be? He doesnt need any source or number or whatever. Personal in-raid experience is more than valid "source" you are looking for. Not to mention he isnt the only one saying PvP is full of sweats and cheaters now
@@OMGiTzSpAnKy Congrats? You could have a million hours, it’s still obvious that the game is not as popular as it once was. If you believe otherwise you are COPING. Unheard edition alone took a MASSIVE chunk of the player base away. Or did you miss that?
tbh idk what chart your looking at but we have a 50% increase in daily active players since 2024 we went from 220k ish in 2020 to 530k ish right now since january, yes we did had a higher peak in 2020 and another 1 in 2021 but peaks dont matter that much if the average active player base goes up and stay up the game is completely healthy
I been playing since 2019 and he is right after the inertia changes and the weight system changes the player count started to drop but you could still find people trying to pvp, nowadays you run into someone camping in a bush the game is slowly dying I barely run into anyone maybe the first few weeks of wipe or month and then after the game feels dead and boring. The game doesn't feel the same anymore garenteed in the next few years this game will be dead
As someone who got the game a couple months ago and no longer plays it. My problems with the game lie with optimisation and graphical fidelity. Specifically, using FSR 3.0 makes the game look like crap. This is not so much of the problem with AMD and more of a problem with how it has been implemented in Tarkov specifically. This is a major problem with maps like Streets which is an impressive map imo but if you have to implement specific settings for a map like streets then its a major problem. And the VRAM leakage is insane on the game and also makes streets very hard to play. Also like things such as the game just not working properly such as sound being very inconsistent. Or other things like me using the flare extract on streets for a quest and still dying even after the flare went off. If something has a quest and it doesn't work in the game it should just be taken out temporarily. Also I feel like they have taken on too many projects like Arena and PVE. Cuz I played Arena on the free week and it was such a terrible experience. Like why even spend the time making something like that if its going to be that bad. It reminded me of the original Ark Survival Of The Fittest and how they never updated it. I will probably get back into it when 1.0 comes out.
Bringing a very valuable stash item into a raid and potentially lose it just to maximize loot gains sounds so incredibly ballsy and insane it actually sounds fun. The highest risk vs reward when you have nothing to lose
I started playing Tarkov in november of 2023 and loved it so much that I didn't play any other games at all for 6 months. I decided to take a break for a week or two, but that's when the Unheard drama unfolded and I haven't been back since. I want to come back, but I haven't really been impressed with the changes that have been made since I've been gone. There really is nothing else like it, but playing Tarkov feels like a full time job and I just cannot do that to myself again with the current state of the game.
Other big issues for me that weren’t covered are not being able to buy or sell meta gear on the flea market anymore. The hideout overall is not worth upgrading anymore. What ultimately made me quit though was the flea market being unlocked at 15 it made the game much more of a grind and then when you finally unlocked it really wasn’t that worthwhile anymore so the only focus of the game was the tedious annoying tasks that they have and that’s just not what I want to play
Charging me, an EOD account holder with an alpha armband, MORE MONEY for pve and then releasing unheard edition was the final straw for me and felt like spitting in my face. I was sick of all the cheaters, bugs, armor hotbox rework, and total lack of communication. I downloaded SPTarkov with mods and have had more fun than ever and after playing the first 3-4 weeks of this wipe ... I'm never coming back to live tarkov lmao it's absolutely boring and a total shit show
The short answer of why Tarkov is going under is simply because of Nikita. Nikita's mismanagement of the game has caused the downfall of Tarkov because Nikita doesn't want to build his game for other people, because Tarkov is his game. Community goodwill and brand recognition, mixed in with the games mechanics is one of the strongest parts about Tarkov at its peak and if the consumer doesn't want to buy the product you're pitching, they'll simply leave. If people don't trust BSG or Nikita anymore after Unheard, if there are other sufficient substitutes Tarkov will genuinely die. Delta Force, Gray Zone Warfare, and Breakout Arena are all games that are trying to capitalize on the playerbase for Tarkov and players that want elements of the Tarkov experience. There are significant barriers to entry when it comes to a game like Tarkov due to amount of stuff you have to learn. While these other games focus on accessibility, accessibility in some cases is part of the brand of Tarkov. However, you should know that the moment there is another company that makes a sufficient 1:1 Tarkov experience, and it's known that the Devs are active and willing to listen to feedback, Tarkov will die. The games industry is a ruthless industry, and we've seen this with Concord, and other games that "Think players want XYZ". Yet deliver a product that there is no market for, or people simply do not want. Moreover, we're already seeing this with Path of Exile 2 and Diablo 4. Blizzard and their success with Diablo game with being a first mover, but they've fattened and gotten slow not making any significant changes to appease shareholders. I really think that Tarkov is the same. It's only a matter of time that something "better than Tarkov" comes out and no one cares about BSG again.
True. Nikita is driving the game to be his game and only his vision for the end result matters. Even with the backlash of unheard edition they just did it anyway because it is part of the lore somehow. It doesn’t matter what will affect the gameplay or make it worse as long as nikita gets his way. Similar to the recoil changes now he showed it on tarkovtv and everyone hated it and they said they wouldn’t do it. Now we got recoil changes coming whether they say they are not adjusting it at all just the camera it will mess something up and take it in the direction that nikita wants. It is destroying this game that they can’t leave stuff alone and make things playable. Like the armour system we got now people taking 15 hits from decent ammo is just not fun.
@@jakf101 its funny, because they dont to make a game like game devs, people make games for fun or to make money, main goal is ither or, but nooo nikita just wants to make something ASS because he enjoys it being ASS. its such a backwards logic, yes lets not make a great game fun. because we dont want people to have fun. Then how do you expect them to stay, sure theyll play a bit feel nice here and there, but the moment another game makes them have more fun wich theres zero to non on tarkov, they bolt.
I think that's a good take, accessibility is a sticking point for a lot of new players. I've introduced a few friends to tarkov and they liked the idea of the game, but not being able to actually understand quest objectives that are given to them and having no way other than using third party websites like mapgenie is covering a game design flaw. Tasks need to be written in a way that actually describes how and where to complete them, and a functioning map with your insertion point visibile need to be implemented so new players can at the very least navigate to where they need to go.
Its honestly the "realism" for me, how can you say you're making your game realistic but at the same time, putting Vaseline on your lips let's you run on a broken leg?
realism. one gunshot spawns 50 zombies. my asshole realism. or in pve its even worse. 1 gunshot alerts 10 scavs 1 boss 3 goons and a few pmcs. and because they come. new ones that spawn home in on you :(
@miciso666 atp either make your game fully realistic or not, I will say little events like the zombie ones are fun as a slice away from the main game. But the zombie event was alot
The risk to reward ratio is way off, especially since the introduction of "Found in Raid". It used to be if i found some good gear to sell on the flea, i stuff it in my secure container and sought of fire fights. Now NO ONE wants to risk losing their stuff so now everyone just crouches in a corner at the slightest sound and waits to pick you off
people want an arcade shooter which tarkov never was supposed to be, but because development was ongoing not all features were implemented. Nikita always said its supposed to be hardcore survival like where its more about surviving a fight than killing players. I like the modern Tarkov more than the old Arcady one but people have a hard time acceping that. I respect Nikita for not compromising his Vision of the Game to cater to "fans" of the old Game. Tarkov is gonna become a niche game that will hold a strong Playerbase and drive all the Arcade Shooter kids away. If people want the Arcade version they can always play Arena Breakout ( oh wait that game is pretty boring because it doesnt have a fraction of the stuff you can do in tarkov) or create your Own game to your likings. I kinda get why Nikita gets tired of the "Fanbase" after so many years ngl
i feel like instead of inertia they could have done it to where what you bring in weighs nothing and when you loot things those weigh you down... so if you pick up a tank battery you still weigh 40 kg... and or take away inertia and just make it to where your character gets stam penaltys like 60 kg stam regens slower and you only have 75% of stam. stuff like that because inertia doesnt feel good AT ALL... and i started playing this game AFTER it got added so all of my hours ive had to deal with inertia
@@callduty001 you can play perfectly fine with mouse and keyboard. The majority of the player base does. Iv only been playing for a month or so now but im enjoying the fuck out of it so far.
I‘m a big Tarkov fan and really like what tarkov became over the years! If it gets frustrating then the best thing to do is to take like 1-2 wipes off as a break and experience tarkov as a whole different game
I hope they add back the ability put cases in your inventory and to drop loot/kits for people. However, then I hope they add the feature that if you extract an item from a member of your squad it gets sent back to them like other games have. This allows for more freedom for regular players but still helps counter RMT.
No risk vs reward, "early wipe" being removed thanks to arena, no FiR flea, etc all killed tarkov all making this just call of duty warzone with more steps and eating cans of beef stew
if you really going to put a legit play style that counters the "giga chad 3000000000000000 streamer" clowns as a reason people are leaving you are to much on the reddit or delusional. The reason people are quitting is that bsq keeps suck off only to screamers and not the other 98% of players with making every whip more grindy and grindy. That the community is so dam toxic and delusional it makes my therapy patients seem like normal people. and that for some reason if you are behind of the curve lets say 3/4 weeks into whip. the people that do got time to play and grind. (aka people that don't have to work 6 days a week) run around with the meta kit of that whip most of the time being a m4 mp7 or other new gun of that whip with clearly way to good of stats running around with almost max strength and endurance in lvl 5/6 armor with meta ammo when you cant get ammo that can pen lvl 4 armor on a lucky day.
This game has a bizarre learning curve. When you start out you think it's just because you're new and everyone's better than you, but by 1000 hours you realise that at least 51% of the time you died because of shitty audio, networking, rendering, rng or hacking.
Not true at all. That spike you usually see is just hype. It can last short or long time but eventually people leave. We saw that on multiple games. Changes are better and better. Yeah neck is a problem but I hope they make vests or vests attachments that will fix that and also reduces neck hotbox. Everything other is as it should be. Without weight what's the point. No fucking management no fucking penalty just run and gun. Well that's what's arena for.
Brother the biggest factor you're missing here is that at its peak, the world was going through the Chinese virus error I meant Covid 19. Meaning those folks had the time to play tarky heavily. Once we had to go back to work/school...those numbers took a dip. Then let us not forget the famous wiggle video that open eyes to a huge portion of what was making casual gamers leave, CHEATERS. Those were the things your video missed, the rest was point on.
Tarkov had its biggest rise in popularity 3 months BEFORE COVID. Yes people were playing more during COVID, but COVID was not the reason it blew up for the first time.
i'm a player who's account was made march 17, 2017 - i can say honestly my reasoning and opinions for why tarkov is dead/feels dead are mostly performance related, adding in extra hitboxes that are buggy and feel really bad to run into (neck, armpit pre-work, etc), "milsimmer" changes getting added by request of people who don't play (inertia, weight restrictions, etc), and the recent match maker update that made a pretty obvious impact on matches.. The game hasn't really improved in a long time, and has been just about adding content while also adding things to punish players for next to no reason - mix in cheaters, netcode issues, etc and people are obviously going to play SPT or PVE given the choice. Add in things like community toxicity typically towards people who have different opinions than the masses, or simply speak out against desicions within logical reason - there's a -whole-nother reason alot of people leave/feel pushed out. For me, i was once a top #15 for pmc kills player, and to put it nicely - i'm fed up and disappointed but still enjoy the concept of the game. I'm tired of playing against people at max ping, and cheaters - even though i can kill both pretty regularly i'm tired of dealing with it wipe after wipe just to get a couple new guns, a map expansion, and next to nothing else. Personally, if it wasn't for PVE and being able to play with friends who are still new, i probably would play SPT or just not at all.
The game is suffering from an identity crisis, it wants to be " realistic " aka authentic to that survival fantasy that Nikita has, but a big part of the player base wants that more arcade pvp focused experience. Not to mention the technical stuff...
Would be easy to make a system of putting players based on K/D ratio into game. Sweats get all sweats. Hackers get all Hackers. Noobs get noobs. Win win for all.
Tarkov is the definitive example of a game which does not respect your time. I have 800hrs in game and I can confident say that less than 100 hours of that was actually gameplay in a raid. The rest was spent fighting with the UI, the server, the loadscreen crashes, the flea market etc. Pass all of that and 5 minutes in you get beamed by a cheater because you get to that keycard before he did. And then you have to start everything all over again. Fuck that, I'm not touching that game ever again.
the SPT & WTT teams are the only dev teams qualified to work on this game, and nikita is to blame. he truly struck gold, but he has no idea how to keep it shiny. this game used to feel like a foot soldier simulator, now it feels like tacticool apex. and thats not cool. oh tarkov, i am so so sorry we fell in love.
My first ever introduction into extraction shooters was Hunt: Showdown. Not an extreme looter shooter but it was extremely fun. Heart pumping and fufilled that deep gamer desire. I got into EFT because I liked modern military and how tacticool it can be in the game but wasn't ready because I knew it was "extremely challenging and unforgiving". I bought the game at the time when chronicles of ryzhy game out and bought the game at standard edition. It was fun scaving and looting and playing as my broke ass PMC with my krink and PACA. Then new changes regarding inertia, first wave of arenas coming out, all this new stuff coming afterwards and I upgraded to EOD when I heard it was ending. Skipping forward past all the controversy, I'm not really playing EFT anymore but I still like playing EFT arena. It's an actual pick and build setup instead of stupid presets that suck major ballsacks and ass and I can actually enjoy a kitted M4. I cannot consider myself to be an experienced veteran or hardcore gamer because I've only been around for 4+ wipes and play like I'm blind sometimes but I will say that trying to play a game like EFT sucks because it is an unpaid job. The work, the effort, time and energy spent into not even playing but surviving and making it through a raid and not feel like you just wasted the next 30 minutes dying to a extract camper or scav. Coming from a league of legends player even losing a match was less dreadful than playing Tarkov. I would just like EFT to be like Hunt: Showdown but with loot instead of banishing monsters. The "realism" push in EFT has been killing it into a roaming simulator rather than what most people would see as a PVP game. Make a game a fun game and not a jerk off realism sim. EFT fufills a niche and it should continue fufilling that niche.
I'm afraid that reverting back to previous versions of the game won't be bringing people back. The game isn't the only thing that's difficult. Like he mentioned in his video there are other games in the space now. They have competition and they are at a disadvantage. Their reputation has taken a hit, their game is the older one in the market, and the other games in the space seem to have taken a less intense (or realistic) style. The devs can definitely improve the game, but I'm thinking that their golden years are already behind them and aren't coming back.
So, what I don‘t get is this: you say „a lot of peole left when x or y happened and never returned“, but then don‘t even try to prove that. That‘s… kinda an important point to the vid, and if there‘s anything I learned on the internet, it‘s that taking someone‘s word for it isn‘t enough. And no, Twitch numbers dying off late-wipe are no proofe at all, not even close.
Lmao, Rats have always existed. Before they were rats they were just naked players with Mosins, 1 tapping almost every armor at the time. They would throw their mosin on the ground and take your entire loadout. The reason tarkov is kinda bleeding off players is because it has competition now.
The biggest problem for me are cheaters. As long as there are no severe repercussions for cheating and no solid anticheat, it's not worth to invest any time into the game. Instead of doing something like implementing kernel based anticheat or making separate lobbies for people, who choose to verify themselves with some sort of info that would tie the account to their person (ID, bank ID, drivers licence or whatever), they rather bring PvE mode with one of the most brain dead bots i've ever seen in a video game. The game itself is so unique and it's getting destroyed by cheaters and mismanagement. It's a sad sight to behold.
I've pretty much entirely quit Tarkov the last couple of years. I can say your diagnosis is definitely spot on. The game exploded during the first twitch drops event and it went downhill from there. The high-octane gameplay generated by the community back then took a huge hit the moment we had the influx of new, and terrified players. At the time I saw the increase in popularity as a great thing for the game and BSG. More funding for my favorite game to be developed. Had no idea they would destroy their baby the way they did. Every time I see clips from back then, I am absolutely shocked that they chose to move in the direction they did instead of doubling down on what gave them their initial success.
Realism is definitely another aspect that plagues the mechanics of the game. I liked how EFT kept itself serious and not fall into goofy skins like COD. But the game is simply not fun to play sometimes
I don't know why only in tarkov i always die instantly in combat due to faceshots, i don't even see heatlh UI change becouse it just disapears duo to death.

remember when a guy called nikita out and how to fix it.
yeah they reamed his ass publicly. and banned him from the pre team or whatever... he had solid pointers how to better tarkov.
even going as far as saying maybe add a pve. add better anticheat. but nikita banned him from twitter.
"Why is everyone leaving Tarkov?"
- 8 year CBT
- Netcode as terrible as it was 8 years ago
- Spawns as bad as they have been for the past 8 years
- Cheaters
Yeah, the game is a rush unlike other, WHEN IT WORKS, but from my experience jumping on for 3-4 hours a day, it will be 50-50. Half of the time it will work, half of the time it won't and you'll get Tarkov'd.
Get better stop blaming it on netcode you dont work on and just hear popular streamers talk about
@@Sak-zo1ui netcode is literally an issue my guy it has nothing to do with skill.

Its unplayable at least til next wipe.

unfortunately pve doesnt even come close to pvp you can "see trough" your opponents moves they always react the same for certain situations in a 100 raids that doesn't last long since you do your quest pick up 1 item and the next makes you unable to move and loot is worthless so you just leave ofc i heard that pve economy is crazy now but when i played it was ass but the main point is that in 5hrs of raid time you can basically predict where to look for pmcs and where they will sit with 80% accuracy and if there's no scav spawns you cant find pmcs and you can just go afk on the middle of the map because you know nothings gonna come close for me pve isnt fun its just way more repetative than the acctual game because you fight the same situations over and over again
It's because BSG makes it impossible for a average casual player with a full time job and a family to play. Plain and simple
Maybe because live EFT isn't for average Joe players? You can also play PvE or spt

Played 4 wipes, quest loop gets stale, cheaters, and the unheard edition drama killed it for me.
Because BSG does not care, or respect ur time spent in the game, i spent this whole wipe to get to lightkeeper just so i can reach the last task before meeting him and finding out the zombie event bugged it. to this day, 1 month after its still not fixed, one task, yet they add more tasks for other events. wtf ?
exactly. just piece of shit devs simple as that
Can’t forget about the wiggle video.
For real. That video probably takes the prize of chasing most players away from the game over any other one single thing.
GZW is hardly comparable to Tarkov. Two completely different games with slight similarities.
i dont know new update got me back playing it and its really fun now.
I for one am striclty playing pve now
They say Pve killed Tarkov. No Cheaters killed Tarkov and people moved to Pve. I bet there is way more people playing PVE than PVP
Once the full release comes out it's gonna be like PvE but occasionally pvp instead of constant pvp unless you go to pvp intense areas

@@MrDudoslav If only they had won the war against cheaters instead of creating pocket dimensions to hide from them. Unfortunantely we cant have nice things.
Tried it yesterday for the first time but I was literally just 2 seconds in before getting aimbotted by AI.. I died in 3 seconds of spawn. For real
@@ForOne814 They playerbase has been asking for 8 years better performance, net code and something to stop cheaters.
too many cheaters. my SR has gone down 35% over the last 5 or 6 wipes.

I’ve asked a couple different people to try out Tarkov and both were like “isn’t that game full of cheaters?” . I think the cheating problem and the Wiggle that killed Tarkov play a big role in pushing away new players
Never got into main tarkov, call it skill issue, blame the cheaters, whatever. SPT was quickly the way to go for me.
From someone who has 4000 hours of tarkov and 2000 hours of spt..... It is not a skill issue, there are cheaters galore in tarkov.
@OldKnightAMV yeah that wiggle esp vid was crazy
time consuming. I just don't wanna grind all day every day. It's exhausting.
Feels like a job.
@@ScooterBean It was always a pointless grind to be honest.
@@ScooterBean Yeah I agree, yeah surely, the more experienced you are, the more you hopefully know what you need at the beginning of the Wipe to process faster.
The reason people upset about unheard edition was because edge of darkness was supposed to be the best edition of the game and included all future DLC, and they didnt originally include pve or arena with it
Thats the reason i gave up
yep, and Arena was promised since 2016 as included with EOD.

I stopped playing the live game in 2022 and have only been playing SPT and PVE.

Key rooms are dog shit, i shouldn't waste 5-10 mil on a key for a can of food to spawn in there? its so frustrating.
One problem that I think you didn’t touch on was, dynamic loot. Dynamic loot is good for 90% of loot. You shouldn’t be able to find iskras in the same place every raid, for example. But I think like you said, the chance of finding a ledx in black keycard should be like 50% because that would bring pvp back from the dead and make certain places worth going to
There’s still wipes happening. Once the game releases the player base will thrive again. EFT is a special game. I’m just tired of wipes.
Tarkov blew up BEFORE the pandemic. A whole 3 months before.
-No one wants to play late wipe, literally just nothing to do there aside from the boring events
-The cheater stigma has basically tanked the games reputation (everyone was complaining about it, i.e GOAT's video)
-No one wants to pay for a $250 game, let alone play a game that already costs enough which only tanks the devs and the games reputation more
-The tasks fucking suck and are just a chore.
-Horribly optimised, can't even get above 40 fps in the middle of Streets of Tarkov. (Like fuck me, when a games recommend RAM is 32gb you know its gonna lag to shit)
-Everyone leaves and just waits till next wipe to play, waiting for the game to become fun again.
-Those who really love PVP left and went to Arena
-Those who really hate PVP (or just suck at the game, you know who you are.) left and went to play PVE
-Everyone is playing other games waiting for wipe to come or have just left entirely due to said other game being way more fun and enjoyable than Tarkov.
Inertia and weight are amazing in their current state.
Cheaters, bugs, and servers are the issues.
And since the developers only care about money at this point they will simply add more and more ingame transactions to at least keep the cash flow running.
it's not, we had it long time coming,
"yeah lets do hard event in the middle of the week that no person with a job could finish".
(Maybe they’d have to put in some restrictions on the traders early wipe but in all honesty I think this could really work)
lvls and quest are what gives you an edge on pvp if they do that they would completely remove the meaning of a wipe
No, the whole point of the game is the wipes. They just should lift all of the restrictions from the flea. That solves the issue.
I've been enjoying Tarkov alot lately, putting in crazy hours on pvp and pve. Started late 2021, and almost at 4k hours. Can't wait for next wipe 🫡
Much better take than this actual video.
You forgot to mention cheaters - which was one of the biggest reasons for competitive pvp players to leave, but great video
IMO it was:
Weight system,
skills having reduced benefits (strength and endurance),
dynamic loot (away from high pop areas),
Massive map expansions on already good maps - customs and factory (which caused you to run into less players),
Newer maps like lighthouse and streets being almost unplayable WO a super PC, Cheaters,
Bugs that were never fixed (ex black room bug which still after 5+ years is there),
Inertia (dont get me started),
Rat meta taking over (because of the downsides of running around and the upsides of staying still),
Constant wiping. Sometimes 6 months sometimes a year,
Unreasonable level and quest expectations. For most players its impossible to get kappa in a wipe,
Bad quests - some quests like test drive are just plain dumb make no sense,
Flea market reductions - items and taxes on flee,
FIR at the time was also huge and was so bad for the game - made pvp actually cost you money even if you won,
Labs and Rouge changes (reducing the amount of xp you get, limiting buttons and spawns on labs making a more grindy game),
Keycard changes and other keys - limited uses - getting a red card is whatever now and not as prestigious,
Hide out nerfs
Bad Weapon balancing - they have changed recoil and guns about 100 times by now. second labs wipe every gun was useable with some being better (hk, sa, val, mp7, m4, etc),
Dumb additions like KS shotgun, impacts and grenade launches (they take no skill and have no counter) people were running only 1 impact or 1 gl as there kit thats how strong it was,
Not being able to carry multiple bags or cases in raid (as you mentioned),
Constant loot nerfs - every marked room or labs room has been nerfed into nothing making the "best spots" in the game no longer good and pointless,
dysnc and server issues,
Armor changes - I get plates and hitboxes but making it more simple would be way more fun,
Reduction of gear selection - big one for me as i enjoy the freedom of buying whatever i want.
Limiting certain high value ammos and helmets like altyn and ryse is just dumb,
Rmting items and people not getting banned for it, Traders having less and less items each wipe,
quest locking all the fun and good gear behind 100 quests that are dumb,
Ai changes being unenjoyable. How they ramp the difficulty is by just boosting their hp and making them all have aimbot through bushes not very fun,
Attachment changes,
Stim and med changes,
Grenade change,
Weapon malfunctions like WTF?
Biggest thing that ruined it was nerfed loot and punishing players who actually moved and looted the map
your getting mad at weapon malfuctions, go play cod
I stoped due to wipes. Wipes SUX. Losing all progress is so dumb
@@MT11222 wipes are needed to keep the game fresh, the more you play the more you value gear less. Gear and progress dont matter
You have a source for that Tarkov is losing players?
Or did you just make that up?
It’s blatantly obvious that the game is not as popular as it once was.
He doesn’t need a source you can just see and feel it in the community. So many going to Modded SPT/PvE for now or just dropping the game period.
The Unheard edition is the sole reason i stopped playing. If it wasn't for it i would still be playing till this day
If you look at the actual realistic information there is 50.000 new players to the game including me and few friends
tbh idk what chart your looking at but we have a 50% increase in daily active players since 2024 we went from 220k ish in 2020 to 530k ish right now since january, yes we did had a higher peak in 2020 and another 1 in 2021 but peaks dont matter that much if the average active player base goes up and stay up the game is completely healthy
"bRiNgiNg CasEs iNtO ThE RaId SuPeR fuN WaY tO pLay ThE gAme" what a dumb take
quite literally a super fun way to play the game, coming from someone who did it often at the end of wipes to big ball my raids.
I only play the pve mode. I don’t have enough time to get good against cheaters and addy users or streamers 😂
I'm never coming back to live tarkov lmao it's absolutely boring and a total shit show
PVE is free for EOD.
@@slickumss spt tarkov is literally just a better game, because you can mod it and the spt devs fix bugs faster than the normal devs
@@shiringasai I never said PVE was better than SPT.
@@robertbowden8573 that's never happening and we all know it sadly
I think the correct tittle is "why everyone is escaping from tarkov"
I started on PvE when it launched and I've since taken it a step further and moved to SPT.
SPT rocks.
They promised realism and then listened to the weird kids with a Twicht account that like to jump and run like flash
yeah streamers is what killed the game
If there were no cheaters, i wouldnt spend more than a few hours a week in pve.
having a separate (wipe) and (non wipe) server list ,custom ,modded and non custom servers would help alleviate this issue
There are 2 main things that made me uninstall for good.
Cheaters.
And Nikita's lies.

When I tried it years back. Going night time with night goggles with a pistol and a suppressor. Really fun gameplay!
Bruh im seeing this like every wipe
Excellent micro-documentary. Really appreciate the effort and willingness to provide insight into what's been going on with this game.
Its honestly the "realism" for me, how can you say you're making your game realistic but at the same time, putting Vaseline on your lips let's you run on a broken leg?
Those are no ordinary Vaseline
realism.
one gunshot spawns 50 zombies.
my asshole realism.
or in pve its even worse. 1 gunshot alerts 10 scavs 1 boss 3 goons and a few pmcs.
and because they come. new ones that spawn home in on you :(
@miciso666 atp either make your game fully realistic or not, I will say little events like the zombie ones are fun as a slice away from the main game. But the zombie event was alot
its almost like at the end of the day its a video game

0:06 - where you got player numbers data from?
My quitting point was when they made the armor hitboxes bigger, eliminating the gaps
i feel like instead of inertia they could have done it to where what you bring in weighs nothing and when you loot things those weigh you down... so if you pick up a tank battery you still weigh 40 kg... and or take away inertia and just make it to where your character gets stam penaltys like 60 kg stam regens slower and you only have 75% of stam. stuff like that because inertia doesnt feel good AT ALL... and i started playing this game AFTER it got added so all of my hours ive had to deal with inertia
I left for Star Citizen. I can't deal with the blatant disregard for cheating anymore, it's not fun.
U need any specific hardware like joystick for flying, being like need in order to play or u can play normally with M&K?
@@callduty001 you can play perfectly fine with mouse and keyboard. The majority of the player base does. Iv only been playing for a month or so now but im enjoying the fuck out of it so far.
I‘m a big Tarkov fan and really like what tarkov became over the years! If it gets frustrating then the best thing to do is to take like 1-2 wipes off as a break and experience tarkov as a whole different game
You’re not alone in this. You echo a lot of what people think and feel rn
I hope they add back the ability put cases in your inventory and to drop loot/kits for people. However, then I hope they add the feature that if you extract an item from a member of your squad it gets sent back to them like other games have. if you really going to put a legit play style that counters the "giga chad 3000000000000000 streamer" clowns as a reason people are leaving you are to much on the reddit or delusional.
I think the BIG things what make tarkov good in 2019/2020 is that players never play it before.
I think this is simple as.
This game is insane.
Tarkov was the best game ive ever played during those years.
Same was PUBG for me 2017-2019 when the developers actually cared and tried to fix it and to tackle the cheater problem.
Its 8 years old and most of the spikes are large variety streamers playing it, and their soft player bases played 1 wipe and couldn't cope.
Would be easy to make a system of putting players based on K/D ratio into game. Sweats get all sweats. Hackers get all Hackers. Noobs get noobs.

The devs can definitely improve the game, but I'm thinking that their golden years are already behind them and aren't coming back.
throat hitbox is my main reason i stopped and armor plates, makes the game so inconsistent and random, and requires no skill anymore
It not being on steam was a massive barrier for entry for me personally. And all the fucking cheaters.
