- Got my temporary shop up and going so we had some fun cutting some agatized coral, Lake Superior agates, a Botswana, some nodules self collected from a couple Kentucky locations and a couple slabs off of some awesome rough we had. Enjoy and leave us a comment letting us know which is your favorite. Thanks for watching! #teamrockit #thefinders #rockhound #crystal #cool #agates #rock #calcite #uv #coral #geodes
Jeff.. Always love when you start the video's "I wanted to make a quick little video...." and then almost an hour later... I'm still glued to the video and smiling on each goodie your cutting and showing us!!! Always like seeing Vicky getting in front of the camera and doing the Slice and Dice fun too. By The way, I keep all my solids and cut them up even more and use them as Display-'bases' for other items (as I have a hard time tossing anything away... LOL). I have even considered using a lot of them as separating wall designs or decorations in the bathroom (and maybe even the shower). Oh by the way.. You Two are for sure ... the best thing since 'sliced bread' !!!!
Lol. Sliced bread. Lol. Great idea on the solids. Will have to get my creative juices going in those. Thanks for the idea. You’re awesome bud.
Those are some fabulous Agatized corals! I just love those things. Every one of them is so different, but they are all cool under the UV! And man you really did knock it out of the park with those LSA's! That one that you cut was so different then Ive ever seen but just the absolute most beautiful one I have ever seen before! It's just wild and drop dead sexy! And your Kentucky nodules are not quite what you wanted but very few of them usually are! And that AZ moss agate is just beautiful! I am so stoked about everything I got from them in my mystery box! And wow the coral under UV was just phenomenal! Wow it was just amazing! Too cool! And man I can't wait for my box now! Poor Vicky was wrapping her heart out! I owe you big time now! I loved your story about your love! That's so sweet! You guys are awesome! Thank you both for everything! ❤
Thanks Lisa. Yeah those lsa’s! Didn’t cut as much stuff as I intended and it ended up being a longer video than I wanted too. Lol oh well. I hope you like your box. With Vicky’s work hours it’s hard to get to the post office during their hours. But it will be sent Saturday at the latest. Thanks so much for the comments on us. Lol. I love her so much.
@@JnVrockhounding I know you do. It shows in every video! No hurry on mailing. Whenever you guys get the chance!
@@JnVrockhounding Hey Jeff! If you dont know already, that super unique laker that you cut is known as a "fragmented membrane agate". They are fairly rare compared to your typical laker.
@@attksichak4731 thank you. I did not know. No one has said anything until this. I appreciate it. It’s a super cool agate. Only suggestion so far was agatized chain coral and I really didn’t think that’s what it is. Seems like I have heard of fragmented membrane agate but don’t recall seeing one. Thanks so much for the info and for watching. Do I know you from someone’s lives or discord?
@@JnVrockhounding No problem man! Also no, I'm not really on lives or discord (when it comes to rockhounding). I am actually a first time viewer of your channel.
Jeff & Vicky I love your videos. The coral was amazing & actually all of what youve got. Love our rockfam. You guys rock💪🏻see u on the live❤
We love our rock fam too and appreciate you and ollie. Thanks for watching Love.
Oh my. Really beautiful ones. Love the wormy one❤
Love to c how much u love eatchother❤️❤️👋🇫🇮
Thanks Kirsi. That lsa is something different and I think very cool. Definitely the most interesting one we cut. We definitely love each other, I just love her most. Lol
Them long coral pieces are sweet! Great slices all around Jeff. You got some really nice stuff. I enjoy the large variety of pieces you cut to show off. Thanks for sharing! Have a great day JnV 🙂
Thanks Shawn. I like to cut a variety when I cut. Keeps things interesting. What did you think of that weird lsa? Ever seen one like it?
@JnVrockhounding of the few that I've collected and seen personally, no I have not. Those were some really cool LSA's.
Great video Jeff and Vicky. The red LSA appears to be agitated pieces of chain coral. It is beyond amazing!
Interesting thought. I didn’t think of that. Gonna have to study it more and close.
All great stuff! But those corals!! 😮wow! Thanks for sharing bud!
Lol the way we had the towel drooped over the lamp one piece got covered and we forgot to cut it. Lol. Gonna have to get more of that. Thanks for watching bud.
#1 stinking cool LSA!!!! Dang, you guys!! Stay up at the plate, and keep hitting dingers!
Lol. Yeah we’ve been super lucky with the lsa’s I bought. Some have had nice parallax. Still have about 40 some out of a lot of 60 or so whole nodules. Trying to pace them out. Thanks we appreciate ya.
Nice work 👍
Thanks. Appreciate the view and comments. Those help the channel. Check out our other videos when you have a chance.
Like the coral with druzy :) The moss agate is amazing inside ! Oh that LSA at 24:04 is so beautiful and unique inside ! So many great cuts. Enjoyed watching😊
Have you ever seen one like that one lsa? I have seen many cut and none like that. It’s so wild.
@@JnVrockhounding seen one with some of the wild pattern in it but only on a third of the slab. It is amazing looking !!
Shop is coming together , that LSA was crazy , nice cuts thanks
Thanks Wil. Yeah the shop is a work in progress and temporary until we get our building to move it into. Yeah that lsa is nuts. Ever seen one like it? I haven’t.
Ok nope those eye popping colorful slabs are my fave. Idk🤷🏻♀️all of it🤭😋
Lol. Yeah those slabs were awesome. Especially that red moss. But we both just love the noorena. The Maliquois is something new for us. Have had it for a few months but it’s pretty stuff. I will have to show you the pendant the glacier bros made for me out of it. It’s pretty material.
Beautiful !
Yup. Lol. Thanks
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks so much. I appreciate that.
Very cool stuff, you 2!
Thanks. We love to show this awesome material. We have a wide range of stuff we love. Thanks for watching and we appreciate the comments.
I live almost right on Lake Superior, so I’ve seen a lot of LSA. The mystery agate is called fragmented membrane. It can look like brains. I’ve been collecting for years and only have a very few that look like that. Great video, killer cuts, and very cool.😎
Thanks Darrin. I have had a couple others say the same thing basically. I am very happy to have cut one like it. It’s just friggin cool. Lol
I have 5 of those agate geode coral pieces!!!
Those were my first. I wish I had the opportunity to go collect them myself. Thanks for watching Josh.
Looks like some nice material you chose to cut. I’m really excited about those Agatized coral 😮.
At 9:40 you almost cut your thumb off lol 😂. It’s always a kick when I get messages like this.
It’s a shame those geodes are filled in with solid Quartz. Sometimes i feel it’s best to use a hammer on some geodes like that because when the geode fractures it helps find the pockets allowing them to be revealed. You could soak them in IronOut ti help remove all that brown iron staining.
That one at 14:39 and the one after I knew was going to be a good one. Love the water banding.
OMG. That one at 19:20 is sooooo beautiful. Love that slab
Yeah I like to get a variety of stuff together to cut. Live those lsa’s and don’t mind cutting the ones that don’t show windows like the ones I have. Those solid geodes, if you still call them such, are just gonna go in the rock garden. Those slabs I cut are definitely gorgeous for sure. Thanks for watching bud.
lol, sliced bread as well as rocks!
Sounds about right. Lol. Thanks for watching Melinda. Lol
Beautiful material!! I was looking at that piece of red moss you sent me yesterday, i slice the slab and put it on my next list! That wormy LSA is sweet and that coral damn!!👍😎👻🌶
Can’t wait to see what you do with it bud. That is some super pretty material imo. Yeah that wormy lsa is wild. Never seen one like it before.
@JnVrockhounding oh and I was using a thinner blade that doesn't usually cut fingers, must have had a burr because it sliced my thumb when I accidentally hit it lmao!!🤪🤣🤣
@@bhutjolokia6990 ouch! Lol
Hang on! I'll be RIGHT back...
I need to grab some depends, in case these corals turn out to be those white blue black agatized corals from Florida...😅
Edit: well, I'm glad I grabbed the depends. You didn't say anything about cutting any malaquoise. Good thing I was a good little boy scout, and I still live by the phrase "Be Prepared." That LSA, the coral, dang near all of it got me a little too excited, considering I'm just looking at some rocks. Helluva day in the JnV Lapidary shop. Those are some beautiful cuts. Thanks for sharing with us. ✌️🐻
You like the malaquoise? I can send you a chunk.
I have one with copper in it. might look into doing this sometime unless I sell it and the other ones I have similar to these. Nice work
That sounds pretty awesome. I have more coming. Will be doing another video cutting when we get them. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
looks awesome! new to your channel, so far loving it
Thanks so much. Welcome and we hope you enjoy. We’re fairly new still and will get better and hope to learn editing soon. We plan on more rockhounding videos and cutting videos. Have more of the agatized coral coming soon. What brought you to us and what got your attention on this particular video?
HA'FA A'DAI!!! SI' YU'US MA'ASI'!!!
Thanks Joseph. Glad you enjoyed.
Well, obviously he took back the take back! 😂😂😂
You two are adorable ❤ Love y’all!
@@soul_adventurist exactly!
Hang on! I'll be RIGHT back...
I need to grab some depends, in case these corals turn out to be those white blue black agatized corals from Florida...😅
That’s what I was hoping for. They are still pretty cool but unfortunately no white blue and black.
Some gorgeous pieces. Your agatized corals put my little one to shame lol. I have a piece I’d like to send you guys, it’s from the Tampa area. I think you’ll like it. Let me know how much to send you for shipping hun. Great vid.
It’s a medium flat rate box. Just message Vicky at our email and she will tell ya how much it’s gonna be. I had been wanting to cut some of the agatized coral and finally got the chance. I love them. Not the black and blue I wanted but still way cool. Thanks for watching Beth.
@@JnVrockhounding oh they were very cool! I’ll throw an email tomorrow. Hope you able to find me a clam and horn coral in your collection but the death plates are the winners! Woohooo
Great cut and reveal video. The agate at 24:00 was stunning!
Is there any chance you can super glue your drip pail and pick up some hose and a drain pail from your hardware store maybe? 👍🏻🇨🇦
I’m just gonna buy a new cup for now. The drain catch I’m not worried about. Once we get the official shop up and going I am gonna have a better watering system anyway. I have the pump to use just need to figure out a way for the hose to hang to drip. Thanks Mike.
@JnVrockhounding Good luck Jeff! And have a great week ahead, you guys!
Nice material.
Can’t tell you what it is, I just know I have one similar that I found. (33:50 lsa)
They are all beautiful, thank you for sharing 🎉
You’ll have to show me. Would love to see it. It’s so wild.
I finished the video a lil bit ago… I might have to go back to Facebook. That agatized coral was just amazing. Have a great night.
I like the agatized corral. does any glow in black light
That moss agate looks like a fossilized brain
I showed them in 365 nm uv light around the 40 minute mark. They are definitely uv reactive.
That moss one, I have learned, is called a fragmented membrane. It’s a type of Lake Superior agate.
Thanks for watching. Go back and rewatch the uv part.
24:24 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ soooooo beautiful
It sure is. Apparently it’s a rare fragmented membrane agate. From what I found out it’s rare in LSA’s.
Still watching, but so far I like the rock Vicky cut with the red in it. Think you called it an LSA??
Oooh!! Love the slab you cut!! Love love love the red!! You know I want one of the slabs, I’ll put it on my shelf with the other rocks you’ve given me🥰
@@user-yc7eo7zz4p I’ll cut you some. And lsa= Lake Superior Agate.
