The Spokane Rock Rollers Show 2024
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 бер 2024
- This was an excellent show but also very busy and loud for a Friday morning, which is good for the club and vendors but less so for filming.
The cases were fantastic, there were some great vendors, killer deals, we got to see some old friends, meet some new ones, and I even bought a few things.
If you're watching this on the day of the video release, the show is still going on Saturday, March 23rd and 24th.
Thanks for watching!

Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: My thoughts are with you!
I, too, am so greatfull for rockhounding UA-camrs that take us along via video.
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Thanks for taking us along! Lots of beautiful displays! I've always found rockhounds are the nicest people. So much fun and good deals to boot! Wish I could be there!
Looks like a lot of hard work put into those pieces. It's great to see what people are coming up with and the different types of material.
Glad you liked my daughter's and my case at the show. It was the one with a variety and the green felt alien head with jewelry on it. Enjoyed your video on the show. The rock show is a lot of fun. Going to go again tomorrow and help with it .😊
Oooh, pretty rocks n minerals! Always love me a show~ Thanks as always for sharing sir, hope you have a great week!
Great vid man, thanks for taking us along for the ride
Thank you for watching!
Exciting you ran into a FAN, and thanks again for the videos guys!
I'm glad you liked it.
Beautiful displays!
Big time fan of you and your sweet wife! Thanks for showcasing my family’s abalone cab case (the second one on your video) and our specimen case with my crab fossils and abalone dominoes I make 😍 I’d love to gift ya’ll a set of dominoes and a crab fossil too! My husband, and three teenage kiddos are rock rollers members.
It was a great case! I would love to have a set of dominoes, but that looks like it takes so much time.
I do think I will make myself a set someday! It's a great idea!
I already bought 2 of the crates of rocks yesterday. There is some amazing stuff hiding in them.
That's great to hear.
@@CurrentlyRockhoundingafter going back today I bought 2 more along with a few things from the silent auction. looking forward to the final day to see what I can find :)
First time seeing a show, and I loved everything you showed us ❤
Thank you!
Hey there’s our buddy Phil from The Rock Pile Lapidary Arts!
I always learn something new from Phil at these show.
last year we went and arrived 10 minutes after it was open and it was a line of like 60+ people lol
It's a popular show for sure.
Thanks for sharing. Lot of great stuff! You two are always fun and have lots of information. See y'a next time. 😷⚒
I'm glad you liked it.
Good video. Very cool stuff.
Thank you!
I wanted to come this year, but had the grandson out, and he brought me some of that Spokane public schools plague.... Say hi to Liz and Dave for me!
I'm sorry to hear that.
I'm going tomorrow.
Although I can’t stand to watch a rock show I can’t attend I love your content and get a like and from me on all your vids
You could feel the lapidary journal tension.
Next gem show go live!!!
Let’s goooo!!! 🎉
:D
this is great!!!..im going to the kalamazoo rock and mineral show may 3-5.
I hope you find some great stuff!
nice video!
Thank you!
I went to the show today and it was 10 times bigger than I expected. It was overwhelming, in a mostly good way. I’m from Nevada so just being here was a fluke, but I will try to get back. And one unrelated question - does “Spokane” means land of speckled rocks in some native language?
Jared,,,!!!
We got home just an hour ago from the show! A bit disappointed that there was so little rough and so much jewellery (Cdn spelling), but had a great time, fo course. The sale in Colville 2 weeks ago made a BIG dent in my stash of US$, tho!
You gotta go on the first day for all the good deals on things at a show.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding Understood. Many of the attendees echoed the same problem, and were disapointed as were we. Maybe the smaller shows are the ones to attend. Thanks!
@@margosaunders5705I was there within the first opening hour on Friday and there were tons of rough as shown in this video. It's not the show's fault or the vendor's fault if people don't find great deals on the last day of a show.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding Not laying any blame, just an observation. You are right, of course!
Do you have a vendors list ?
I forgot to get the card of a fella selling carved jade pendants on his own braided cords .
He was on the far left (west) outside wall
I'm sorry but I do not.

No worries
Thanks for the video

Are you a member of the Rock Rollers making this video or you have your own thing going with the website and whatnot ?

You local to Spokane ?
Hi there, "Digger Bob" here. I see you like Opal? I know where there is tons of it. I got access to the Eaton ranch between Ellensburg and Yakima There are forests of petrified wood there . I was working a job there to supply electric power to the top of a mountain on their property and while doing so found a piece of bright pink opal just laying on the ground. I gave it to Mrs. Eaton for a necklace. I looked around and could find no more so I think a bird dropped it there. Anyway, since I'm a gold miner and prospector too I have to tell you about another find I made. It was "lipstick red" opal. You know the color like women wore in the 1940's. I consider this extremely rare. I've never seen this anywhere before. Write me back for the location. Also I found some what I call "moonstone" opal along the right a way of the Burlington Northern railroad long the Yakima river just below Beates road off Hwy. 10. There were several veins of it but I ran out of time to dig deeper. I'm getting too old to do much hounding anymore so I'm willing to give out my secrets for others to enjoy.
Hello!
It sounds like you're finding some really great material, and red opal is often very impressive!
