The first story is just so weird. I understand wanting an aesthetic but to this degree? I'd never ask my bridesmaids let alone my maid of honor to change just for my wedding. If the weight comment was about health then I'd get it, but this was just excessive and mad disrespectful.
I think the worst I could do in terms of “change for my wedding!!!!” is to ask for a different way to style the hair (NOT to cut or dye it), nails, or makeup. Can’t imagine how being like this must feel😭😭😭
If she had come to the bridesmaid and said “hey, I’m worried about you. And I think you’d feel better, be healthier, and be happier if we worked together to lose some weight before my wedding! I’ll do it with you!” That would have been genuine and supportive. But these brides wanting to match an aesthetic? Blah. Gross. It’s an effing party. Relax. You’re not special and your wedding is not the most important thing in anyone’s life but your own. Calm down. Be grateful. Move on.
Why’s everyone saying the time and amount of comments? Weird. WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD What I think about story 1: people should never tell someone to change just because it’s not to their standards and I think the op was right My opinion on story 2: The SIL is just a attention seeker and it’s rude to do what SIL did, could’ve been kinder about the telling everybody Thing but I get where the op was coming from, but back to SIL. 7 calls on there honeymoon? Just to say that SIL is having twins? Have some respect. Copying the op’s ideas is rude and inappropriate
I get not only SIL is attention seeker. They three of them all sooo competitive in attention seeking 😂 why they all need somebody's attention or approval. Why all need to shine? Sooo childish If sil wants to announce her 2 weeks pregnancy very glad for her, congrats. My wedding is not gonna be less important or less beautiful or less meaningful because of it 😊😊 and two beautiful things at the same day - isn't that a reason to be more happy?
@@JD2012JD13 Uhm it's their wedding and SIL was trying to take it over so your saying if your Soon to be SIL is pregnant at your wedding then tells people she doesn't even know about like your mom after 10 Minutes of meeting her then copy your culture when she's not apart of it then try to ruin your relationship with family? How would you feel?
honestly i would done it because a real friend would say hey man your getting a little fat, you should start working out. anyone who disagrees with me should take a look in mirror and ask yourself which "friends" would stick with me during hard times and tell me thing i might not want to hear but has my best interest at heart.
A REAL FRIEND doesn't care if you gained weight. And most certainly wouldn't put the "aesthetic" of her wedding before a friendship of over two decades. That is absolutely shallow and disgusting
@@sherrylaury not saying gaining weight is a problem but if your overweight to the point of it being unhealthy yes, a real friend is going to check you and want you to be healthy. my thing on the story is the friend could have said " hey can you lose weight for my wedding, although you don't have to I would appreciate it if me and you could be healthier together" that's how she could have said it and do it in private. If my brother became too overweight, I would tell him straight up your getting fat lets go to the gym, knowing he would do the same for me. I'd rather him tell me how it is than tell me what I'm doing is ok even though it's not. I hate people who sugarcoat shit.
But you're not including the fact she wants her to dye her hair and get a fake tan. It's all a selfish desire for her to conform to her "perfect wedding"

0:58 for ppl that came from a short
Thanks❤
thanks

Yeah this is a short story basically she decides to not go and loses a bunch of friends and she doesn’t regret her decision and “sticks with her guns”
She was never a real friend. Step down as maid of honor and block those who support her
Anyone that tells everyone they are pregnant at someone else's wedding is a HUGE AH.
When you have to do a hard thing for your friend to stay friend, thats not a good friend

There's no way in hell she went in at 2 weeks and they told her she was having twins
They are doing it cause they want to and it's not weird it actually helps people out

I definitely agree with you on that but I just wished she would have put a bit more detail in the story and given us more to work with

Yes they absolutely do. A real friend tells you the truth no matter what letting your friend get fat and unhealthy and not say anything hurts way more
