Lesson: The worst compliment you can get as a sales person.. " This person can sale anything to anybody.." You Don't want somebody who can sale anything to anybody... you want somebody who believes in the product... a True Believer. You can't break a Tru believer, but you Can break a sales person. If you run a company, make a list of true believers. Put your time into these people. For yourself, make a list of what you've done in the last 5 years. If you have done many things in multiple years, you aren't in the true believer department. If you become a true believer, you'll attract true believers.

I love to read about History, Technology, Business, religion, How to books, and I love reading or audiobook of people talking about Their ideas and understanding them as a person. Lately in life I been big on spending one to three hours in a day listening to UA-cam videos or Podcast and re-listening to sales tips in audio. I came across you Ad and you talking about your friend getting out of jail and him not reading much because he has/had reading program, I can have that in common (not a great reader), what I learned is that no one can take away knowledge, Learned history/learned mistakes from the past, and most of all knowledge from the mentors that teach from their heart and we pass the knowledge through to the ones we help or mentor ( this is what I told my wife when she lost her mentor). I really love audiobooks because it's the best way to learn when on the move.

Patrick, I agree with the true believer 95% of the time. Ray Croc did the deal of the month until… boom . It’s not the norm for sure and most people just need to stick with what they are doing .

True Believer here working 10 years in the same industry. Not sure what's been holding me back mostly fear of failure and success not sure how to handle it I have all the training skills that I need to start it's just taking that leap. The biggest risk I have to take I believe is getting the office space and hiring an admin huge commitment. I was in many different fields of my career for over 12 year in Security. I saw The true meaning of true believer and nonbelievers while in security. I went to Sale as a new career, I want to make money to build my own company because I have always been a true believer in My Success and Goals.
I can never trust a non-true believer in my personal life and work life.

I would like your thought on a logistics broker. typically they ship (sell) whatever commodities the customers are requesting. Do you suggest honing in on 5 prospects that have specific commodities that you can focus in on? Personally, I love that concept if that's the case. My freight brokerage teaches the 5 product/commodity rule like you do!

Hi Pat, I hired based on personality traits, of course speciality mattered, and if they know selling great, what is even better is knowing your way of selling. So what also matters training and following up. So I say hire people that are smarter than you, train them then let them run.
