My uncle played guitar in bands for fifty years. Got to sing Neil Young songs with him 2 weeks before he died of excruciating brain cancer. Didn’t know it at the time but it’s a cherished memory.

They were her favorite songs, and my son, Mark Jr., would play them on guitar for her this past summer, as we sat outside in the sun. It was a bright spot for her as she suffered in pain from the cancer. We actually wanted to mention this in our mom's obit, but found out later that there was not enough money left for us to even publish an obit in the newspaper:(

right here...my dumb-ass could've rode my bike to this show, but I was a close-minded 16 year old metal head. When I look at all the legends i could have seen that day-major regrets. Although i have seen a few including Neil that was one of my biggest concert mistakes by far.
