One of my favourite weekly presentations. So much up to date information and keeping pace with the respected reformed scholars and often, incrementally changing, futurists. Thank you Mike and Don.
Paul was a widower! Glad you guys covered that. He was not divorced, because if he was, he couldn't say he had a right to take a wife. When we preterists discover more of a permanence view of marriage, it'll make our position make even more sense and it'll help us oppose this epidemic of divorce that's been going on that's incredibly destructive to everything, especially kids.
Its not just some ethereal minor thought bubble that gets questioned with Preterism - our whole church life along with its history is full of nonsense. It is earth shattering for me because it is true. We don't like the ground we stand on to shake. We like stability. The whole church seems to have missed it and in hindsight it was always right in front of all of us. No wonder most theologians simply cannot go there.
It's easy (fleshly wise) to want to "run over" people when we discover a truth. Through the years I've seen that in myself. I'm 70 years old and just coming to the significance of time statements. So I ask myself what should be the fruit of the spirit I should have with people who don't share a truth yet? I see a pride attitude in us with seeing a truth that others don't and we pat ourselves on the back. Share God's Word and let the spirit move (as Your doing) and limit the fleshly noise
Great comment, Mike! "If your paradigm is wrong, it doesn't matter how smart you are." Why cite scholars whose paradigm are wrong except to convict them?
The marriage question in the fiest century would be a disaster. Those married Jews making the trips to Jerusalem would put those married folks in danger of covenant judgment starting in 66 AD.
It is amazinging how much more you pickup the 2nd time through, taking notes and looking up the verses and making notes
Can't get enough of you guys
Awesome Awesome Awesome thanks 😊
Great job, Mike

You may be fuzzy, Mike, but your teachings are not. Bless you both.

You just caught me!
But I think the correct interpretation, the preterist aspect, is very important
Great comment, Mike!

The secret of God is a Heavenly Jerusalem. In Christ. The temple not made by hands
I enjoy your teaching, but videos are too long for me…
