Great video , awesome information , I’d be doing maternal breeding if I was to go down that road of breeding snakes , living in the central west NSW cool climates is not a problem so I’d probably pick the diamond python for breeding ,I do quite like them , liked and subscribed to your channel , it’s a pleasure to watch a mature video unlike some of the young macho guys fooling around and being irresponsible handling snakes etc , certainly will check your other videos 👍

I like that you let the females do their thing with their eggs. Not many breeders do it and its cool to hear a different take on how to breed snakes in captivity.
Hi, I'm breeding my spotted Pythons for the first time this season. I'm in Adelaide SA. When would you recommend me starting the cooling process? And over what period?
Just a quick suggestion (in the unlikely case you've not planned to do them but)... it would be great if you could do a few more 'preparation for breeding' videos, such as 'incubator set up' or 'hatchie rack build' etc.
Some very sound advice Peter, its not just breeding them, that can be the easiest part, its the getting these little boogers to feed and then finding homes for them. l love to MI too and though l have only bred once as l am not a breeder and dont plan on breeding again, it was amazing to do and mom did and amazing job, though this was with my Coastals not my Anataresia.
Great vid thanks Peter. So interesting to hear about the maternal incubation as well. Do you use a row of heat cable or a full heat pad in the back of your rack systems?
@@CrittaCam Thanks for taking the time to reply Peter, much appreciated 👍🏻 I didn't word that question very well - I meant do you run just a single row of heat cable, or do you use a much wider heat pad. I see rack systems with just one row of heat cable at the back and I wonder how much surface area that actually generates heat for?! So was curious as to what method you use in your setups! Thanks again, love checking out your animals!

I got a snake I want to mate but I got a fear of putting a male in because all she dose is try to eat everything what ever it moving she wants to eat so could she b bred or would she just try to eat the male because she wants to eat what ever movers no matter what the size
Thank you Peter that was very informative, I've got a pair of bredlis that are ready to go...they had their last feed 2 weeks ago. I'll be letting her maternally incubate the clutch but this year I'll be ready for how I set the heating for her enclosure, last year I lost the whole clutch (25 eggs) during the last 2 weeks due to heating :(... I opened 3 of the eggs and they averaged 22 gms. Can you send me any info/links on breeding centralians as I can't seem to find much at all here in Aussie...the tips I've found have all come from the States...( still drooling over your Rough scaled enclosure). Thanks in advance Sir.
Very nice video! Thank you for sharing those super useful tips and tricks! 🙏

Thanks!
Hey great information do the snakes need light and heat in the tubs or do they live in there like that thanks you
