We miss Lucy dearly. Definitely inspiring, timeless, hysterical and a powerful yet sweetheart of a lady. We will never forget sweet Lucy. Thank you for the laughs, Lucy. Nothing can hold a candle to you and the roaring laughs you continue to provide all these years later.
It was the series I Love Lucy that inspired me to pursue acting. Lucille Ball made everyone laugh, made everyone happy through television. She made doing acting fun and she showed that it was cool to pursue an acting profession. So much so that my own career path led to the New Orleans Film Festival and a nomination for a theatre role. I owe Lucille Ball and reruns of I Love Lucy a debt of gratitude.
I just love the look on William Holdens face when her nose got caught on fire. I thought he'd have a heart attack and when he got a salad dumped all over himself, priceless. Here's Lucy and The Lucy Show was wonderfully crazy as she was years ago
@@garycarpenter2980 yeah, that's a great one, how perfectly they mirrored each other. I also love the freezer episode, where Lucy and Ethel buy two sides of beef. The washing machine episode is classic too. It's my all time favorite sitcom, nothing compares to it, IMO.
When some talk about the I Love Lucy character as a child character - I saw her as an enjoyable character who had a plan & wanted to display her talents - she often was spectacular in doing such.
Desi always loved Lucy too - also I feel that she loved Gary Morton, they lived together for 28 years without all pain and angst that Desi brought into their lives.
@@LJ-ht4zs Lucy seemed to be happy with Gary that's for sure. There was a good level of peace, emotional security, and contentment. However, Gary Morton said something very telling directly after Lucy died. His words were......."Lucy is finally happy now, she is with Desi." Gary with that statement, clearly knew, the man that Lucy truly loved was Desi. She was very fond of Gary, he treated her well, but Gary never truly had Lucy's heart. I'm sure he knew it. Gary Morton was a good man living with that knowledge. Thank you for your comment.
@@andrewmiller4885 Yes, I guess there are different kinds of love - One thinks that if she continued in her 1st marriage she would not have survived. Her daughter, Lucie Arnaz, said once they divorced they became kinder to one another, that underlying it all they did love each other. (Of course as children, they wanted to see their parents together, but the insight was gained when she was older) They stayed friends to the end and admitted they still loved each other.
@@LJ-ht4zs Yep, agree with all that you said. Thank you. Desi's tribute letter to Lucy read by Robert Stack at the Kennedy Center really breaks me up, as does the expression and pain on lucy's face as she is hearing it.
It is so weird to hear her very low smoker voice when she spoke in a medium-high voice on the show, until she did baby talk or screeched. I always loved and respected her business acumen and amazing comedic acting. I was sad to see two interviews recently with her daughter, Lucy Arnaz. She (the daughter) seemed very bitter and just still kind of mad. She was not able to tell the story of the full woman. But, who knows what it was like to live with Lucy.
I feel that both her children inherited several million dollars each as well as the opportunity to appear on one of her series. I do not feel that either one of them is that talented and would not have been "discovered"if it were not for their totally talented parents - Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Both her parents had very difficult pasts - particularly Lucille Ball who worked very hard, earned enough money, bought a house and had her family (mother, grandfather, brother, niece) move to California and took care of them. Don't think Lucie Arnaz any such responsibility - so sorry if your mother seemed perfectionistic or not as present as you would have wished. My mother was also perfectionistic and not completely there and had problems from her past.
Actually Lucie Arnaz always downplayed her father's addictions: women, booze, and gambling. I am sure she would not have been able to withstand one of those addictions from her husband not less all three.
The world will never forget Lucy. She's gone now, but never forgotten.
We miss Lucy dearly. Definitely inspiring, timeless, hysterical and a powerful yet sweetheart of a lady. We will never forget sweet Lucy.

It's now 2023,and Lucille Ball still makes us laugh every day!!!!
It's 2021, and she's still making us laugh.
Oh, listen: that incredible show will out-live most all of us!

Loved seeing this today! Sid C. and Jerry Lewis’s comments were perfectly put. I miss their presence in the world today.
In really always liked Sid Caesar too.
R.I.P. sweet Lady. I love her work.
So true, the future generations will enjoy these comedy because they will be sick of si/ fi films by then. 🤗❤️😂😂😂😂

Lucy will forever be the Queen of Comedy
Yes she will be. She was naturally funny
One crazy Lady🤣👄
Between her brilliance as a performer and her business expertise behind the screen, Lucille Ball is the most important woman in television history.
I just love Lucy....
Lucy Ball, Jerry Lewis and Sid Caesar. Were the Best comedians Ever !!! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️🕊️🕊️🕊️

💜💜💜💜 thank you
My favorite episode is her and Harpo Marx.......very funny. I could cry right now but I won't. Maybe a little tear
Everyone loves Lucy❤ still watch her, nothing like her on tv today😊
I love watching her comedy series... from S'pore 😃
I've only been brought to tears by the deaths of three celebrities: Johnny Carson, Don Knotts...and Lucille Ball. She was a part of my childhood.
When some talk about the I Love Lucy character as a child character - I saw her as an enjoyable character who had a plan & wanted to display her talents - she often was spectacular in doing such.
My daughter has the same birthday, many years later!!
We made it to Mars but Lucy is way out there in outer space for people on other planets to enjoy!
She's still a legend among us
A time gone by never to be repeated mores the pity
Desi Arnez was a deeply painful love that Lucy could not get out of her system. That woman loved that man till the day she died.

Hollywood put many men in dresses. So sad.
JUDGMENT IS WORLDWIDE.

Jerry Lewis wasn't crazy yet in this interview. And wasn't being rude with this interview. As he got older he became and old bitty.
Jerry Lewis turned out to be a creep-dark side
Burns in that wtg. loL.
