Glad to see quests like these - I get the sense the profession developers took a lot of inspiration from New World and other similar crafting heavy games. It's an interesting thing about game economies that things constantly deflate in price and inflate in supply - UNLESS there are quests like these that remove materials from the economy. Smart plays by Blizz, Sadly they have otherwise abandoned the profession system.
It really does feel like they abandoned their new system. This is designed to soak up mats, which is probably a good idea. I'm not sure we ever saw the profession system tweaks that were on the 2023 timeline. I'm hoping they keep some of this system but otherwise overhaul it again in 11.0. They have to build in the fact that the regional AH renders most crafts nearly worthless for most people to make.
Whenever I want to listen to you about gold making, I yawn and go to sleep, every effing time! 🤣 Once I logged in the game and started doing gold rewarding world quests and died. I associated sleep and gold making because of these videos. 🤣🤣🤣
The value of most of these materials won't change. People are going to try and reset the market but it's region wide and with the number of bots etc, it won't even last one day. Won't recommend to invest in most of these
Similar to what I said to someone else, if you dont feel comfortable enough in investing in these items to strictly flip for this reason, I still recommend stockpiling a bit for personal use. Many of these items aren't just used in shipments, they are basic materials for potions, food, enchants, etc. that will all see new demand in Patch 10.2. Take these shipments away and we can still potentially see a rise in prices just due to the new raid and start of patch.
Thanks for the video. If I understood correctly, you will only get one plump seed and one gigantic seed per week per character? (From the 2 weekly quests)
sorry to ask this im a new player started a month ago , but i still would like to get all the pets and mounts of this activity . so i should do this weekly on every charcter ? i create one shipment and give it to the vendor next to it and go plant it? or should i be puting time into collecting 500 dew each week?
Yes, youd want to get as many dreamseeds as possible each week which means completing all your weeklies (this one included) to get dreamseeds and hope you are lucky enough to get a mount/pet
Keep in mind I’m on PTR where no one else was around. This event can be done in a group - you’ll likely come across the mound and someone has already planted so you can just go ahead and contribute your own seeds while the timer isn’t full. Also, you have the ability to farm dewdrops around the mound whenever you are waiting for your seedling to grow, I showcase that towards the end in a quick example
Even if you dont feel comfortable enough to invest in flipping them, its still great to start stockpiling a bit of stock for your own personal use. Patch 10.2 will likely bring an influx of prices to alot of these items due to the increased need of gems, enchants, potions, food, etc. So lets say you plan on doing the cloth shipment and don't believe the shipments will affect prices, shards and/or dust will likely still rise at the start of patch due to the increased demand of enchants. Of course theres a wide spread this time around, but many of these items are used outside of just these shipments!
For the plump bounty recipes, it’s a confirmed no as the recipe drops from the blue plump bounty bag itself so it does not matter if you contribute for the other bag. For the generic cache recipes I am not 100% sure since I always would contribute for the extra bag, I would guess that it’s not a requirement though Neither case do you need to max out your contribution
Thank you for another outstanding update. So by your description of mats there appears to be no new types of herbs or ore. Awesome it’s time to stock up
Yep, no new mats (for these turn ins)... there are a few new skinning items and essences, but for the most part we will be reusing mats from 10.0 and 10.1! Thanks for watching
@@johnj4471 Yes theres two new gathering nodes in the Emerald Dream; however, they dont grant any special materials (just more of the standard ones)... more info about those nodes are in my previous 10.2 video!

Definitely disappointed in the lack of content this patch in terms of professions :/

Subscribed, and oh my your voice, so pleasant to listen to while watching :P
any news about new enchanted crest recipe?
Drops the same as 10.1 did - should be easy to get your first week or so!
Thanks Penguin, another great video. Really enjoy your content and have done for the longest time.
Thanks so much for supporting the videos and continuing to watch! I hope you enjoy 10.2!
I Love You Penguin! (So much that my GF gets jealous...LOL)

thnx u for sharing
Do you have to have the mays in your bag or can they be in the bank?
Thanks for the video.

From these two weeklies, yes! However you’ll get a lot more from other weeklies and activities!

Some mats already went up alot, Dorado fish a single one over 100g
Yep! Gotta be early or pay up!
is this mobile farm game ?
you plant the seed and then literally have to stand there for three minutes and do nothing? Wow.

its too much Variety for each week ,we can't flip all of those😕

Been looking for contract info thanks.
Scrambling now to add mollusk ribs to my do not vendor list!
go go go ! haha
thanks, super helpful
are dracothys still going to be relevant for 10.2 ? or should we sell now
They will still be relevant!! My previous 10.2 video covers them more in depth
I like donuts
You need to have the profession to get the recipe or any one can get the recipe ?
These recipes are soulbound so youll need the profession
Another great video Penguin!! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Really hope Craftsim or some other addon adds the total crafting cost for these shipment of goods
I definitely think one of the goldmaking addons will!
i always struggled to manage professions. this is a good video. thanks
Thank you JJ!
are these recipies soulbound?
Yes
Do you only need to contribute one dew drop to get to a chance for a recipe.

@@Penguinr2gt thanks heaps. I assume one dew drop when considering a horde of people there contributing to it on launch.

So basically it's best to buy these things cheap now and sell them more expensive on patch launch?
Yes, you’ll likely want to prep now before patch
Good old arbitrage
