Polygon is sort of like Giant, or QBP here in the U.S, as in, they’re a parent company for several other companies in Asia. That’s how they can basically build their own bikes with decent components for cheaper. At least that’s my understanding..

I see a few videos advertising the $1299 T6 but everywhere online shows for $1499. Not sure if I missed it or they increased the price post-launch :(

I paid $1499 but the site said full retail was $1699.
$1299 is great but the 14 is still a good price for this bike.
Is a T7 worth the upgrade? The T7 is 500 more than the T6, they don't look very different on paper. The only thing stopping me from getting it is the 10 speed, can you upgrade to a 12 speed on the T6 and if so, how much would it approximately cost?
The 12 speed and the rear shock are worth it if you plan on making those changes anyway. But if you just want a good bike for a low price and plan on upgrading say in a year. Then go T6.
The T7 is $400 more, and if you were planning to buy the T6 to upgrade it to T7 specs, just get the T7 intstead, because it has a better read shock, 12 speeds, 4 piston brakes for the front, and if you were not going to do the work to change all of that on the T6 yourself, it would cost you a lot more to pay someone to do it, plus parts and would end up costing more than just buying the T7 up front.
You're a 100% right, I was just hesitant before because I didn't know if I'm gonna stick with mountain biking for the long run since I've never tried it. Right now I'm about to get the Marin Rift zone 2, it's like the t8 but a little lighter. I think it's better to go in all the way with a real mtb, if I don't like it I'll sell it and get some money back at least@@barfo281
Just ordered one of these after selling my 23 Rockhopper. I wanted more of a trail bike. I've heard good and bad things about the rear shock. How has it held up for you?
I rode with this same shock on my 2022 Marin Rift Zone. It did good I just needed to make sure it was pumped up to the correct pressure every so often.

You mentioned not being able to upgrade to SRAM drive train. I’m actually looking at this bike and have a SRAM 12 sitting at home that’s like new. Any chance you could elaborate on what I would need to make it work?
I was referring to the SRAM transmission. If you have a non transmission you could upgrade to SRAM. However you will need to change out the free hub to work with SRAM. More than likely an XD Driver.

You might consider the medium. You would be at the high end of a medium and very low end of a large.

get the T. Ive have both the D and T. The T is better all around. They did it right with a geometry

You could but the D is definitely is more aimed at XC than the T.

That's always budget for a good mountain bike
