the reason you didn't understand I saw the TV glow is its not a movie about remembering old tv shows its a allegory about the horror that comes with the trans experience and feeling the the person you are told you are is not real. I can understand why you wouldn't like it coming from the expectations you had but at the end of the day it was not made for you.
I agree with you, but I would argue that the best movies are accessible to everyone in sharing their message/or sharing an experience/perspective! I’m glad people love the movie and I think it’s a good concept to on paper even if I expected or wanted something more about the TV show stuff, but I think the way they actually made this film wasn’t very good, e.g with the acting and voice over that felt on the nose to me
I could hear that scene from Megalopolis, might not have been a good film but it gave us great meme content
